Chapter 11 A Warm Thunderstorm
Ever since that incident, she has been terrified of thunder, and in severe cases, it can even cause her to faint.
The sky outside was pitch black, like a giant black cauldron that could swallow up the light at any moment.
The room was dark, with no lights on, and it was impossible to tell what time it was. It was just like that rainy night from years ago.
She was breathing rapidly, almost suffocating. She clutched her chest, gasping for breath, and leaned against the wall, unable to find the light switch.
With trembling hands, he fumbled along the wall until he finally found the doorknob. As if he had found a savior, he immediately opened the door and ran barefoot outside.
The moment she opened the door, the warm light from the living room illuminated her, and she stood there breathless, exhausted, covered in cold sweat, as if waking from a dream.
Her gaze was somewhat vacant, as if she had not yet recovered from the shock she had just experienced.
At this moment, the man in the living room was wearing silver-rimmed glasses, sitting on the sofa, working on a laptop.
Hearing the sound, he looked up and glanced in her direction.
Her reckless manner made Fu Yanzun frown his handsome, sword-like eyebrows.
His gaze shifted downwards, and when he saw her bare feet on the cold marble floor, his brows furrowed even deeper.
He didn't say anything, but walked to the shoe cabinet by the door, took a pair of men's slippers, and walked up to her.
Place the shoes beside her feet.
"Put your shoes on. There aren't any women's slippers at home, so please make do with these!"
When Tang Wan'er heard Fu Yanzun's magnetic yet incredibly sexy voice, she felt less afraid and obediently put on her slippers.
However, her tiny feet looked clumsy walking in such large men's slippers, as if she were stepping on two big boats.
Her heart felt like a small boat was bobbing, and for the first time, she felt that even thundery weather could be warm.
The two were of vastly different heights; when Tang Wan'er wore slippers, she only barely reached his shoulder.
Fu Yanzun looked down at the clothes Tang Wan'er was wearing.
No wonder it looked so familiar; these look like his clothes.
He looked down at her, his oversized clothes barely covering her petite figure.
From his perspective
Go there, and you can see beautiful scenery with rolling hills.
That fiery feeling swept through every cell in my body.
Fu Yanzun awkwardly looked away and coughed lightly, "You must be hungry, right?"
He hadn't noticed it until he pointed it out, but this reminder made Tang Wan'er immediately feel incredibly hungry.
She nodded, removed her heavy makeup, and looked quite well-behaved.
"Go wash up first! I ordered takeout, it'll be delivered in a bit."
Tang Wan'er nodded and went to the master bathroom.
The toothbrush and towel are both new.
After washing up, she casually tied her shoulder-length hair back into a high ponytail, making her look a few years younger.
As I came out of the room, I heard the doorbell ring.
Fu Yanzun went to open the door, and a man walked in carrying large and small bags.
"Boss, these are the women's clothes you asked me to buy. I don't know what kind of clothes young girls like, so I asked the shop assistant to pick out a few new styles. These are the meals you asked me to get from the hotel."
