Chapter 1040 Voices in the Room

Chapter 1040 Voices in the Room

The boy went upstairs and felt that it was colder upstairs than downstairs.

He figured it was probably because the sun had set by evening, and this was in the countryside where there were no other buildings or shelter from the wind, so it was normal to feel cold.

He listened carefully and thought he could hear voices.

However, it is uncertain from which direction the sound came.

He called out to those around him, "Is anyone there? We're from a TV program crew. We're filming a segment today, so please leave as soon as possible."

But in the corridor, only his own echo lingered; no one else responded.

He couldn't help but find it strange. He had already shouted so loudly, yet no one was willing to answer him? Could it be that his sudden appearance had startled everyone?

He listened carefully and felt that the footsteps seemed to be coming from a southwest direction.

There were faint voices over there, but I couldn't make out what they were saying or how many people were there. It didn't sound like just one or two people talking.

It was as if a group of people were discussing something.

So he walked in that direction, and as he got closer, the voices grew louder, but he couldn't make out what they were saying, nor could he tell if it was a man or a woman speaking.

He walked a long way ahead, and the hospital was much larger than he had imagined.

Because the space was relatively open, his shoes made quite a sound when they stepped on the ground.

He eventually stopped at the door of one of the rooms.

He could hear voices very clearly coming from inside the room, but they always sounded hesitant and he couldn't make out what they were saying.

He took out his phone, turned on the flashlight, and shone it on the words on the door.

It says "Doctor's Office" above.

He gently pushed the door open, and the original wooden door creaked due to years of disrepair.

In the stillness of the night, it seemed unusually eerie.

For some reason, the boy felt a gust of cold wind rush towards him the moment he opened the door.

He got goosebumps all over, but still didn't feel anything was wrong, thinking maybe the room's window wasn't open.

It's closed, that's why there's such a strong wind.

But when he opened the office door, the sounds inside stopped abruptly.

The silence was so profound that he could hear his own heartbeat clearly.

This report isn't actually that long; it's basically quite straightforward.

He walked in and took a look, and instantly got goosebumps all over his body.

Since all the windows in the room were closed, where did the wind come from?

Moreover, the entire office was dilapidated.

There were only two dilapidated, nearly broken tables and chairs lying on the ground.

There's no way to hide anyone.

Just as he was racking his brains trying to figure it out, the wooden door behind him slammed shut.

The man was a little scared, but subconsciously he still felt that someone was playing a prank on him.

He hurriedly tried to open the door, but it was as if someone was blocking it from the outside; no matter how hard he pulled, he couldn't open it.

He looked down at the door lock; it was broken and couldn't be locked at all.

So how exactly did this door close? And who was outside?
