Chapter 63 Opening

After intensive preparations, Wang Shuxiu's restaurant will soon open.

The day before the opening, Yi Hang drove to Lingshui Village where the flower garden was located and asked Uncle Li to buy a batch of vegetables. Lu Lingxi had already greeted Uncle Li before, and Yi Hang was familiar with Uncle Li because he had been running the flower garden for a long time. Uncle Li had already helped him to prepare everything before he arrived. The purchased vegetables were neatly placed in the baskets and piled up in his yard. The villagers in the village were worried about what to do with the vegetables in the vegetable garden? They were very happy when Lu Lingxi said he was coming to buy them. Although Lu Lingxi didn't ask for much, it was already a windfall compared to letting these vegetables rot in the vegetable garden.

Yi Hang brought the vegetables back, and Wang Shuxiu rushed to clean them up in the afternoon. She couldn't handle it alone, so Lu Lingxi and Yi Hang came to help, and even Dahei changed his usual quietness and barked a few times from time to time to join in the fun.

The three of them were busy until the evening, and Yan Yue rushed over after Micro Gardening closed. Wang Shuxiu felt a little embarrassed to bother Yan Yue, and Yan Yue politely said, "We will be neighbors in the future, and it is only right to help each other."

"Neighbor?" Wang Shuxiu was a little surprised.

Lu Lingxi interrupted and explained, "Brother Yan bought Aunt Hu's house next door."

Wang Shuxiu knew that the house next door had been renovated recently, but she didn't expect that the buyer was Yan Yue. Yan Yue said frankly, "Fengcheng has too much smog, and there are few communities with such a good environment. Although the house is a bit old, the environment is good, so other things don't matter."

His reasons were justified, but Wang Shuxiu felt that something was wrong. However, Wang Shuxiu had to admit that the environment of the community was really good this year. As far as she knew, several houses in the community had been sold recently. The feeling of disharmony flashed by, and Wang Shuxiu was busy with the business of opening a store, and soon she could no longer think about buying a house for Yan Yue.

Yan Yue raised his lips slightly. He deliberately chose to move his house to Wang Shuxiu when she opened the shop. Wang Shuxiu probably had no time to think about other things during this period. After a while, when the business of the small restaurant was on the right track, Wang Shuxiu would have time to think about it again. She had already gotten used to his existence.

By the time they were almost done, it was already 10pm. The entire restaurant was cleaned by them, and the tables and chairs were neatly arranged. Wang Shuxiu looked at all this with some emotion, and after looking around, she thought about having to get up early tomorrow, so she simply let Lu Lingxi and the others go home first, and she stayed on the second floor to save trouble.

Lu Lingxi was a little worried that it was unsafe for Wang Shuxiu to live alone because the house was facing the street. Wang Shuxiu laughed, "What's there to worry about? Once the iron door is locked and there are window guards upstairs, who can get in?"

With her insistence, Lu Lingxi had no choice but to leave with Yan Yue and Yi Hang. The three of them left the house. Yi Hang looked at his broken little golden cup, and then compared it with Yan Yue's car parked next to the little golden cup, with a miserable look on his face. Lu Lingxi was amused by his expression, and looked at Yan Yue and said, "Brother Yan, you go back first, I'll take Yi Hang's car."

Yan Yue glanced at Yi Hang calmly and nodded.

The two people and the dog got in the car. Yi Hang looked at Yan Yue's car with some envy through the car window, "When can I afford that car?"

Lu Lingxi comforted him: "You are still young. When you reach Brother Yan's age, you will definitely be able to afford it."

Yi Hang: "... Third brother, are you treating me like a child?"

Lu Lingxi hugged Dahei and laughed.

The laughter reached outside the car, and Yan Yue's eyes darkened. He drove around a corner and did not go home, but turned from another road to the community where Lu Lingxi lived. He got downstairs faster than Yi Hang and went straight into the corridor to wait for Lu Lingxi to come back. After a while, a voice came from outside, mixed with Yi Hang's shout, "Old Three, I'll pick you up tomorrow morning."

"Okay." Lu Lingxi waved at Yi Hang, turned around and took Dahei into the corridor.

The old-fashioned residential area was not equipped with voice-activated lights, but lights on the wall that needed to be pressed to turn on. Lu Lingxi took two steps and fumbled to turn on the light. When he looked up, he saw Yan Yue standing at the door. The dim light shone on him, making his originally cold eyebrows look unusually soft.

"Brother Yan?" Lu Lingxi was a little surprised.

Yan Yue's lips curved into a faint smile, and his eyes seemed to be filled with a layer of light. "I wonder if Xiao Xijie would mind if I stay with him for one night?"

Lu Lingxi was stunned for a moment, then he smiled brightly. Until he entered the house, Lu Lingxi was in a good mood, with a smile on his face. Yan Yue looked at his smile and unconsciously felt better. "Very happy?"

Lu Lingxi nodded obediently. He didn't know why he was so happy to see Yan Yue appear at the door.

Yan Yue couldn't stand his laughter and couldn't help but hold him in her arms and kiss him, urging him in a hoarse voice: "Go take a shower and go to bed, you have to get up early tomorrow." Maybe because he is nine years older than Lu Lingxi, Yan Yue treats Lu Lingxi like a lover, and also has the feeling of taking care of a "son".

Lu Lingxi obediently went to take a shower. Dahei wanted to follow him in out of habit, but was stopped by Yan Yue quickly.

"Xiao Xi, you wash first, and I'll help Da Hei wash it later."

Lu Lingxi didn't think anything else, and was quite happy to see Yan Yue getting close to Dahei. "Then Brother Yan, thank you for your help."

Yan Yue smiled softly, turned around and looked at Dahei with red eyes of jealousy. He had never taken a bath with Xiaoxi before, stupid dog!

After the two people and the dog finished bathing, they were faced with the big problem of how to allocate beds. Lu Lingxi's bed was a single bed, and it was a bit difficult to squeeze two people in, not to mention adding Dahei. Under the pressure of the situation, Dahei left the familiar head of the bed and slept on the small blanket on the floor. Yan Yue occupied Dahei's previous position, feeling quite proud in front of Dahei.

"Good night, Xiaoxi."

"Brother Yan, good night."

Lu Lingxi buried his head in Yan Yue's arms and soon fell into a deep sleep.

The next day was the opening day of the small restaurant, and Yi Hang came to pick up Lu Lingxi early in the morning. He was surprised to find that Yan Yue was also there, and was stunned for a long time before reacting, "...Brother Yan, you came so early."

Yan Yue didn't explain, but nodded to Yi Hang's statement. Lu Lingxi looked at Yi Hang with a guilty conscience and also agreed with his words.

To their surprise, quite a few people came to the small restaurant today. Although Wang Shuxiu had not deliberately promoted it in the community before, several close neighbors knew that she was going to open a store. As old neighbors for more than ten years, everyone had watched Wang Shuxiu grow up. It was not easy for her to get to where she is today. Everyone pooled money to buy a flower basket early and sent it to Wang Shuxiu early in the morning. In addition to the flower baskets bought by the neighbors, Lu Lingxi and Yan Yue each gave two, and Lin Mei brought another one when she came. Wang Shuxiu scolded them for spending money, but the smile in her eyes could not be stopped.

Just before the opening, Brother Feng came with his people and generously sent six flower baskets. Twelve flower baskets were placed outside, looking very impressive.

Wang Shuxiu named the restaurant herself, Xiaohua Home Cooking Restaurant. When she was young, she thought the name was too rustic, but now that she has seen more of it, she thinks Xiaohua is a good name. It looks inconspicuous, but it is full of tenacity. No matter how difficult the environment is, it can take root, sprout and bloom. The little bastard often said that the wild flowers growing on the ground outside are the same as the famous flowers carefully cultivated in micro-gardening. Unconsciously, she also thought so.

At Xiaohua Home Cooking Restaurant, Wang Shuxiu silently repeated these words, her brows relaxed and she smiled cheerfully.
