Chapter 526 The Gift Prepared

"You like pink cars too?"

Cheng Ruonan asked in surprise, "I didn't know you still had a girlish heart!"

"What are you talking about? Take a closer look at the car body."

Lin Fan said, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.

Cheng Ruonan curiously leaned closer for a look, and her eyes immediately widened.

It turns out that the car was covered in stickers, but that couldn't hide the fact that its surface was dented and battered from the collision.

In some places, the primer was even completely gone.

The most shocking thing was the wall behind the car, which was covered with scratches and marks.

There wasn't a single car parked on either side of this vehicle; it simply occupied three spaces with its own arrogance.

Blooming alone!

"The person driving this car must be a genius!"

Cheng Ruonan couldn't help but say.

"you do not say!"

Lin Fan smiled and said, "This car belongs to Senior Sister Qin!"

"ah?"

Cheng Ruonan was devastated upon hearing the news.

No wonder Lin Fan looked like he was being tortured when Qin Yu offered to drive him out for a late-night snack.

It turns out, this guy is a major road hazard!

"Senior Sister Qin, well done!"

All the words in the world can only be summed up in a sigh in the end.

"Hurry up, get in the car!"

Lin Fan sped up and walked towards his car.

It was as if if he stayed any longer, the MINI would immediately transform into a weapon and start beating people up.

After getting in the car, Lin Fan set the navigation and headed towards Chunfengtang on Nanfeng Street.

However, he still called Ding Yao beforehand to report the situation.

"Brother, you mustn't act impulsively."

After hearing what he said, Ding Yao immediately couldn't sit still.

"Sister Ding Yao, don't worry, I'm just going to scout things out, there won't be any danger."

Lin Fan explained, "Based on my guess, the other party has already left."

So, I'll see if I can find any clues.

"Should I report this to the provincial department now and ask them to send someone to provide support?"

Ding Yao asked with concern.

"No need... Too many people will only alert the enemy."

Lin Fan refused outright.

If too many people come, it will actually affect the overall situation.

"Okay then, call me if anything happens."

After giving her instructions, Ding Yao hung up the phone.

Lin Fan drove the car at breakneck speed.

About twenty minutes later, he arrived at the medicinal herb market on Nanfeng Street.

On a huge wooden archway, two giant dragons are carved, as if telling of past glories.

However, the inside was pitch black, and it looked quite eerie.

"Are you sure this used to be a medicinal herb market?"

Cheng Ruonan looked at the place from all angles; it resembled a large, abandoned shantytown.

"No doubt about it, the lingering smell of Chinese medicine is still there."

Lin Fan parked the car outside and got out with Cheng Ruonan.

The two of them quietly walked into the interior of the medicinal herb market.

It's so quiet here, almost eerily quiet.

The two could only hear their own breathing and footsteps.

They were worried about being discovered, so they put their phones on silent and didn't turn on their flashlights.

We can only move forward in the dark by relying on our senses!

If it weren't for their exceptional eyesight, they would have probably run into the wall.

Lin Fan suddenly noticed that Cheng Ruonan's movements were very quick and efficient.

She walked on tiptoe, trying not to make a sound.

Most surprisingly, her breathing rhythm didn't change at all.

This shows that Cheng Ruonan must have undergone very rigorous infiltration training beforehand.

"There's a sound!"

Cheng Ruonan suddenly stopped in her tracks.

Seeing this, Lin Fan also stopped.

Suddenly, a Southeast Asian-style chanting music came to my ears.

Sometimes near, sometimes far; sometimes high, sometimes low.

Intermittent, barely perceptible.

In the pitch-black night, it sounded rather eerie.

"call out!"

Suddenly, a dark figure darted past them.

"Is anyone there?"

Cheng Ruonan asked in a low voice.

She didn't panic, but remained highly vigilant, her hand instinctively reaching for her calf—where her cherished dagger lay.

"It's a cat!"

Lin Fan smiled and said.

"cat?"

Cheng Ruonan was a little skeptical.

Lin Fan didn't explain further, but instead gestured for her to listen carefully.

"Meow...meow...meow..."

That deep sound came from a wildcat.

“This place is now abandoned, so there must be a lot of stray animals around here.”

"It's perfectly normal to have night owls!"

Lin Fan gave an explanation.

He thought to himself, "This Shangyuan organization really knows how to choose a location."

Such a horrible place would normally never attract anyone—it could scare someone half to death.

They continued forward in the dark until they finally saw red lights.

The light shone from a shopfront, above which was a plaque with the three large characters "Huichuntang" written on it.

Lin Fan and Cheng Ruonan approached silently and found Huichuntang to be quiet.

The red light looked similar to that coming from a foot massage parlor, and it looked a bit eerie.

After three minutes of observation and stakeout.

"It seems like there's no one inside."

Cheng Ruonan whispered, "Should we go in and check it out?"

"That music just now seemed to be coming from here."

"Therefore, we must be extremely careful in everything we do."

Lin Fan couldn't help but give a word of advice.
