I went from being in a half-dreaming, half-awake state to fully awake.

"He said if we're capable, we can put him in jail!"
Ding Yao said with a rather helpless expression.

He took out tea leaves from the drawer and brewed himself a cup of tea.

"Liu Qingqing?"
Lin Fan wondered to himself, what's going on today? People keep calling me.
He picked up his phone and said with a smile, "Sister Qingqing."
"Lin Fan, are you free tonight?"
Soon after, Liu Qingqing's voice came through the phone, asking her questions.
"Is there something you need?"
Lin Fan did not readily agree.
"It's all because your godmother misses you."
Liu Qingqing's voice was still tinged with jealousy, "She said she hasn't seen you for several days and wants you to come home for dinner tonight."
"Great! That's exactly what I was worried about – what should I have for dinner?"
Lin Fan readily agreed.
Since he was going to the Criminal Investigation Detachment that evening, he could stop by and check on Gao Yushu and the others.
"So you're agreeing?"
Liu Qingqing was clearly very happy and lowered her voice to say, "We have another special guest tonight."
"Special guest?"
Lin Fan asked, puzzled, "Who is it?"
"Ah Hao went there in the evening too."
When Liu Qingqing said this, you could feel her excitement and happiness even through the phone.
"Oh, it's my brother-in-law who came to visit."
Lin Fan laughed and said, "Then I have to go there."
"Okay, then I'll come find you after get off work?"
Liu Qingqing immediately replied.
"OK!"
Lin Fan readily agreed.
The afternoon clinic hours passed quickly.
By the time the last patient was seen, it was already five o'clock.
Lin Fan stretched, picked up two packets of tea, and went back to his dormitory to change into casual clothes.
Just before leaving, he seemed to remember something and immediately opened the cabinet door.
