"yes."
Qian Chengde nodded, "I just called and they said they're on their way and should arrive in a few minutes."
"Professor Zheng, please come into the ward first. My father just woke up not long ago."
After saying that, he glanced at Lin Fan, but did not offer any greetings.
In his view, Lin Fan was so young that he was obviously Zheng Chaofeng's assistant.
"Take us there."
Zheng Chaofeng gestured for him to lead the way.
This way, please!
Qian Chengde turned around and began to lead the way to the ward upstairs.
"Xiao Lin, Qian Chengde is Qian Xiangyang's eldest son."
"He also has a brother, Qian Chengqian, whom he just mentioned."
Zheng Chaofeng slowed his pace and whispered, "You'd better keep an eye on the people Zhou Zhiqiang is bringing later; they might be your opponents at this exchange conference."
"Okay, I understand."
Lin Fan, however, didn't care at all.
Just as they were about to reach the door of the ward, someone suddenly rushed out of the ward and almost bumped into Lin Fan.
The man reacted quickly, stopping in his tracks and glancing at Lin Fan impatiently.
He turned and left without saying a word.
"This is Qian Chengqian, the second son of the Qian family."
Zheng Chaofeng lowered his voice and spoke into Lin Fan's ear.
"Um."
Lin Fan frowned slightly.
This person seems incredibly rude; he doesn't act like someone from a prominent family should at all.
"Professor Zheng, please don't mind."
"The second brother is always so reckless. Please come in."
Qian Chengde was used to his younger brother's temper and took the initiative to explain on his behalf.
"It's fine!"
Zheng Chaofeng smiled and walked into the ward side by side with Lin Fan.
The ward was like a medicine storage room, filled with all sorts of complicated medicinal smells.
As soon as Lin Fan entered the room, he looked at the person on the hospital bed.
The elderly man on the hospital bed was none other than Qian Xiangyang, the head of the Qian family.
His face was sallow, and his eye sockets were deeply sunken.
Watching his chest rise and fall, each breath was incredibly difficult.
"Old Zheng...please sit down."
Qian Xiangyang opened his eyes and laboriously raised his hand.
He speaks with very small mouth movements, as if he uses all his strength just to speak.
The nanny moved a pear wood stool over from the side.
"Old Qian, I'm here!"
Zheng Chaofeng didn't sit down immediately but walked to the bedside and carefully observed Qian Xiangyang's complexion. "How are you feeling?"
"I won't die... but it's no different from being dead."
Qian Xiangyang smiled bitterly.
"Old Qian, this is the young man I mentioned to you, Lin Fan."
Zheng Chaofeng pointed to Lin Fan beside him and began to introduce him, "His medical skills are exceptional; he might have a solution."
"Old Zheng, thank you for your trouble."
"After all these years... I guess my illness is incurable."
Qian Xiangyang glanced at Lin Fan briefly before speaking weakly.
The greater the hope, the greater the disappointment.
The young man in front of me was wearing an ordinary shirt and looked unremarkable.
It's really hard to associate it with exceptional medical skills.
He believes Zheng Chaofeng is now doing this as a last resort!
"Mr. Qian, you shouldn't speak too soon."
"Every illness has a cure."
"If we can clearly understand the location of the lesion and treat it accordingly, the disease will naturally be cured."
Lin Fan stepped forward and smiled slightly.
"You make it sound so easy!"
"My grandfather's illness has baffled countless renowned doctors. Do you really think you can cure it so easily?"
A young man standing nearby couldn't help but purse his lips.
The young man was quite handsome, probably in his early twenties, but his face was full of arrogance.
"Don't think that just because you have the opportunity to treat my grandfather, you can climb up to the Qian family."
"How could I not know what you so-called doctors are here for?"
Another slightly overweight young man followed with a sarcastic remark.
The other young members of the Qian family whispered among themselves, clearly questioning Lin Fan.
"Jun Chu, Jun Peng, shut up!"
Qian Xiangyang coughed a few times. "You disrespectful brats, get out of here!"
Qian Junchu and Qian Junpeng were embarrassed after being scolded by their grandfather in public.
But they dared not argue back, and could only grit their teeth in hatred from the sidelines.
They are now guarding Qian Xiangyang as if he were a huge treasure trove.
Once Qian Xiangyang dies, they can divide up his enormous fortune.
Do you really think they can be that filial?
"I do not ask patients about their social status, wealth, or social standing when I see a doctor."
"I will do my best whenever I encounter such a situation."
Lin Fan spoke frankly, his gaze sweeping over the group of descendants.
It's like watching a bunch of clowns.
"What do you mean by that? Who are you trying to insult?!"
Qian Junchu looked displeased and retorted again.
"Stop pretending to be high and mighty!"
Qian Junpeng couldn't help but mutter to himself.
"Enough!"
Qian Chengde's face turned ashen, and he turned around abruptly, "Didn't you two see that Grandpa is being disturbed by your noise and can't even breathe?"
If you dare utter another word, believe me, I'll break your legs!
The two brothers, Qian Junchu and Qian Junpeng, shrank back in fright at his thunderous rage.
My uncle usually looks very serious and has a fierce appearance.
When they saw Qian Chengde, they would avoid him as much as possible.
"Brother, you don't need to worry about educating our son."
"I'll definitely teach them a lesson later."
No sooner had he finished speaking than Qian Chengqian led several people in.
