"Weren't the health certificates issued in the spring? They haven't expired yet, even though they're valid for a year."
Lin Fan was somewhat puzzled.
What kind of show is Gao Junliang putting on?
"That guy surnamed Gao said something about a system upgrade and asked us to make an electronic version."
"Oh dear... I don't understand either."
Liu Laosan shook the spoon in his hand and continued serving rice to people. "Don't rush, everyone. We're short-handed today, so take your time."
"Come on! This window is fine too."
Seeing how busy and overwhelmed he was, Lin Fan offered to help.
He opened a new window to serve meals to the employees.
About ten minutes later, Lin Fan finished helping.
He carried a bowl of food to himself and casually found a place to sit down.
The medical staff eating were whispering among themselves, mostly discussing the dramatic scene that had unfolded in the conference room that morning.
"Have you heard? The new dean started targeting us as soon as he took office."
I overheard a few nurses at the next table talking amongst themselves, their voices tinged with dissatisfaction.
"This work schedule is going to squeeze people dry!"
Another nurse sighed, "Look at me, I've been scheduled for four night shifts this week, and I still have to go to the outpatient clinic during the day."
That means I'd have to work over ten hours a day.
"Don't just talk about you, I'm the same way!"
A slightly younger nurse also looked aggrieved, "At least we used to have something to look forward to, and we could take regular shifts."
Now, things are even worse. Dean Gao has scheduled us for four or five more hours each day than before.
"They say it's to improve efficiency, but I think it's just deliberate tinkering."
"I think this is just targeting everyone, trying to make everyone quit."
"Shh... Keep your voice down, don't let anyone hear us."
Lin Fan listened to all these discussions and frowned slightly.
Is the person surnamed Gao already up to the task and making trouble today?
