Chapter 156 Provocation

The barking came from a Cadillac SUV that had just parked across from the dormitory. Through the back window, a brindle-colored Fila Brasileiro was barking fiercely and taunting Ah Huang.

In the front seat, a lean man in his early twenties sat in the driver's seat, looking at the playful man and dog with a few disdainful smiles. The young man in the passenger seat, wearing sunglasses, even whistled at Chen Chongshan, making a provocative expression just like the Fila Brake in the back seat.

Chen Chongshan was somewhat baffled by this sudden situation, but he was not prepared to respond to such provocation. There were too many boring people in the world, and he didn't need to waste his time with them.

Chen Chongshan tugged at Ah Huang, then grabbed the fur around Ah Huang's neck with one hand, keeping it under control.

Ah Huang has always been very obedient and has never been aggressive towards people, so Chen Chongshan feels at ease taking it out without putting on a leash. Giving it freedom is giving it respect.

But things are different now. Chen Chongshan was afraid that Ah Huang might act rashly when faced with provocation from the Brazilian Fila, so he held Ah Huang tightly.

Purebred Brazilian Fila dogs are excellent guard dogs and companion dogs, extremely loyal to their owners and family members, but suspicious of strangers.

The original purpose of breeding the Brazilian Fila was to capture slaves. Nowadays, they are used for guarding homes and property. Because of their excellent sense of smell, they are also used as military dogs and hunting dogs.

The history of Filabrasileiro is closely intertwined with the history of Brazil; in a sense, Filabrasileiro has played a very important role in various stages of Brazilian history.

Moreover, the Brazilian Fila is not only associated with history, but also with the lives and fates of the Brazilian colonists. Most modern dog breeds are "man-made" (artificially bred), but the Brazilian Fila is an exception. It was created out of necessity. The colonists needed a strong, sturdy breed that could do hard work, and it had to be a good cattle herder, jaguar hunter, guard dog, and legitimate companion.

This is Bilbao Fila, whose courage, individuality, and loyalty have been the hallmarks of his character throughout the centuries.

In modern times, due to its strong physique and courageous personality, it is also sometimes trained as a fighting dog.

At this moment, Chen Chongshan was facing a Brazilian Fila dog that had been trained to be a fighting dog. If it weren't for the frequent fighting and deliberate training, the Fila dog would not have developed such a strong desire to attack a stranger of its kind from the very beginning.

In China, purebred Fila Brasileiro dogs are extremely expensive, with even slightly better pedigrees commanding a very high price. Therefore, the fact that these two young men are willing to use Fila Brasileiro dogs for fighting and drive luxury cars like Cadillacs suggests that they come from wealthy and powerful families. Chen Chongshan has no reason to get into a conflict with these boring rich kids.

However, life is often helpless. Even if you don't go looking for trouble, trouble will inexplicably target you. Perhaps the two young men were waiting for their female companions to come down, and they were bored. They also happened to run into someone with a fierce dog at the entrance of the girls' dormitory, so they were naturally unwilling to let go of this fun.

A young heart is never willing to give up any opportunity that can make it seem more awesome.

Chen Chongshan ignored them, but the young man seemed even more smug. The man in sunglasses whistled at Chen Chongshan again: "Hey, buddy, are you playing with a dog?"

Chen Chongshan looked up at them a few times, but didn't say anything. He continued to hold Ah Huang and sat quietly on the flower bed.

However, Chen Chongshan's lack of response only emboldened the young man. The two of them got out of the car at the same time, and then led the barking Fila dog out as well. While looking at Chen Chongshan, they slowly walked over: "Hey, brother, I'm talking to you. Your dog is pretty good."

"Thanks."

Chen Chongshan nodded and responded. Ah Huang became somewhat wary. The damned guy opposite it kept provoking it, and Ah Huang could also smell an unfriendly aura from its two owners.

Ah Huang began to growl in its throat, seemingly warning the two people in front of it and the mad dog that looked like a pit bull.

"Waiting for your girlfriend?"

The man in sunglasses continued asking questions, but there was always a hint of something unpleasant about his words.

"Yes." Chen Chongshan nodded.

"It's quite a hassle for women to get dressed; it'll probably take at least an hour to come down. How about we find some fun to do?"

The man in sunglasses grinned and continued.

"No, thank you."

Chen Chongshan shook his head. He naturally knew what the man in sunglasses was talking about – nothing more than wanting Ah Huang to fight their Fei Le. Although Chen Chongshan had absolute confidence in Ah Huang's abilities, such a fight was meaningless, and he had no need to participate.

There is a type of person in this world who is the most difficult to deal with: those who have an inflated sense of self-worth. Ironically, most wealthy young people fall into this category.

"Hey, no!"

Chen Chongshan's refusal elicited a few strange cries from the man in sunglasses: "Waiting like this is so boring."

"Look at you, Central Asian, you're so healthy, have a good personality, and are much bigger and heavier than our dogs. Let's have a little fun and have a fight. It's so boring. We won't go for big bets, just ten or twenty thousand will do."

The man in sunglasses spoke with a grin, but Chen Chongshan's brows furrowed slightly. He wanted to get up and avoid the two men, but the two men and the dog formed a semi-circular encirclement around him, so he could only sit still, his hands tightly gripping Ah Huang.

This guy has already gotten out of control, and Chen Chongshan is worried that these guys might suddenly go berserk and get into some unnecessary trouble.

The commotion caused by the two fierce dogs drew the attention of most of the people waiting there. Their eyes were filled with curiosity and anticipation, as if they were all waiting to see when this excitement would begin.

The more Chen Chongshan ignored them, the more it provoked the two arrogant young men. Their laughter gradually turned into sneers. The lean man who hadn't spoken until now sneered and said to the man in sunglasses, "Forget it, Ah Biao, there are so many good-looking people in this world, but how many have the guts? What are you talking about, following a piece of trash like that?"

"Yeah, you're right. You bring it out but you're too scared to fight. What's the point of keeping a dog? Is it there to give you courage?"

The man in sunglasses, called Ah Biao, continued to mock with a sneer: "Look at your dog, it's gotten aggressive. You're not even as good as a dog?"
