Chapter 76 Team Formation

Although he verbally agreed to Lao Qin's request, Chen Chongshan began to worry. In order to ensure the personal safety of the hunters and prevent them from being attacked by a large group of wild boars, the county government mandated that each hunter team must have at least three people.

Chen Chongshan had always been used to acting alone, and he couldn't find a suitable person to form a team with him at the moment.

Although Lao Qin mentioned that there were some villagers in his village who made hunting a side job, Chen Chongshan's family had always been impoverished, which led many people to look down on them. As a result, the two brothers didn't have a very good relationship with the villagers, and Chen Chongshan didn't want to associate with them.

The last time Huang Mao came to the house to cause trouble, the neighbors' behavior had already chilled Chen Chongshan's heart.

"A close neighbor is worse than a distant relative"—but it depends on the person.

As for the veteran hunters in other places, Chen Chongshan didn't even need to think about it.

Experienced hunters usually have their own hunting teams and don't easily add others. Hunting is sometimes a team activity, requiring not only good coordination between people but also good teamwork between dogs.

Adding strangers or their dogs randomly can sometimes lead to misunderstandings and cause unnecessary harm.

Chen Chongshan hesitated for a whole day. He even thought about asking two of his former close classmates to help him out, but then he thought again that hunting boars was an extremely dangerous thing, and it would be too dangerous to take people with no experience up the mountain.

Besides, they don't own dogs, so it's not very meaningful for just one person to go.

What was once the simplest problem has now become the most difficult one.

In desperation, Chen Chongshan thought of Huang Maosan again. Although this guy had never hunted, he was a dog breeder and had a few Dogo Argentinos for hunting. Although he had never been to the mountains, the Dogo Argentinos that Xu Jiaming and his group brought last time were quite good at hunting.

Thinking of this, Chen Chongshan breathed a sigh of relief. He didn't rush to call Huang Maosan. He felt that should be his last resort. He wanted to find other ways. However, a day passed, and Huang Maosan was still Chen Chongshan's only option.

The next day, with no other choice, Chen Chongshan had to ride his motorcycle to find Huang Maosan, since he was going to report to the county and set off on a hunting trip the next day.

He couldn't delay any longer; if something went wrong with Huang Mao San, he could take other remedial measures.

However, shortly after he left home, his cell phone rang. Chen Chongshan stopped his motorcycle, took out his phone, and saw Xu Jiaming's number.

"Hey, Brother Xu?"

Chen Chongshan pressed the answer button with some doubt.

"Haha, Chongshan, hurry up and come to Boss Qin's Wild Game Manor."

Xu Jiaming's hearty laughter came from the other end of the phone.

"Where is Lao Qin?"

Chen Chongshan was taken aback for a moment, then asked, "Brother Xu, you've arrived in Meishan?"

"Yes, I've arrived. Come over quickly and let's have lunch together. I have something important to discuss with you."

Xu Jiaming said with a smile.

"Important matter?"

Chen Chongshan was filled with doubts. The last time he saw Xu Jiaming was just over half a month ago. What important matter could Xu Jiaming have to discuss with him in the past two weeks? And why did he come all the way to Meishan?

Despite his doubts, Chen Chongshan obediently hung up the phone and turned around to drive towards Lao Qin's Wild Game Manor. Anyway, the journey wasn't far, and he could find out what it was all about once he got there.

Chen Chongshan quickly arrived at Lao Qin's Wild Game Manor. In the parking lot in the front courtyard, Chen Chongshan immediately spotted the flashy Maserati, and next to it, there was a Land Cruiser.

Upon seeing the car, Chen Chongshan became somewhat puzzled. He recognized the license plate very well; it belonged to Wen Fei.

How did Xu Jiaming and Wen Fei end up meeting?

Full of doubt, Chen Chongshan entered the Wild Game Manor. Old Qin was already waiting for him in the lobby. Upon seeing Chen Chongshan, he greeted him with a hearty laugh and then led him into a private room. On the way, he quietly asked Chen Chongshan a few questions about when he had developed such a good relationship with this group of rich young men.

Chen Chongshan smiled, shook his head, and remained silent.

After being led into the private room by Lao Qin, they found that in addition to Xu Jiaming and Wen Fei, Lin Jianbin was also present.

Chen Chongshan greeted Xu Jiaming and Lin Jianbin, and then nodded slightly to Wen Fei. Although he didn't like this person, Chen Chongshan didn't show his dislike.

Since he appeared with Xu Jiaming, I should at least give Xu Jiaming some face.

Besides, since I borrowed money from them, I should just consider that matter closed.

Speaking of which, Chen Chongshan should also thank Wen Fei. If it weren't for the trouble that the kid caused, Chen Chongming's medical expenses would still be nowhere to be found.

Xu Jiaming cheerfully invited Chen Chongshan to sit down, and then said, "Chongshan, something's not right. You didn't even tell me about such a big and fun thing happening here."

"Huh? What is it?"

Chen Chongshan was taken aback, and was instantly filled with confusion.

"Don't pretend with me. Boss Qin already said that you agreed to participate in that pig-hunting competition. Are you still pretending not to know?"

Xu Jiaming replied with some dissatisfaction.

Chen Chongshan was stunned. Such a thing was actually considered a big deal and an interesting matter by someone of Xu Jiaming's level.

He smiled somewhat helplessly and replied, "Brother Xu, is this what you came for?"

Of course.

Xu Jiaming took a sip of beer and replied, "How could I miss out on something this fun?"

"Thanks to Xiaolinzi for remembering me and notifying me in time."

Xu Jiaming said casually, and Lin Jianbin smiled and nodded slightly. Although he was not quite satisfied with the nickname "Little Lin," he didn't care about the nickname as long as he could be associated with Xu Jiaming.

Most people wouldn't deserve to be addressed as Xu Jiaming.

"Great, that's perfect since I don't have anyone to team up with yet."

Chen Chongshan replied with a smile. After spending more time with Xu Jiaming, Chen Chongshan had become much more relaxed and was no longer as reserved as he was at the beginning.

"Haha, I knew you were all alone."

Xu Jiaming replied with a smile, "I brought Wenfei with me this time. There was a misunderstanding between you, or rather between him and us, but since we've put it behind us, let's just let it go."

“Ah Fei is also a skilled hunter, and he has several good hunting dogs, so I asked him to come along.”

Xu Jiaming explained again, and Chen Chongshan nodded, smiling at Wen Fei: "The team needs three people. Since Brother Fei is here, that's perfect."

"Haha, I've brought the man, and I've brought the gun too."

Xu Jiaming laughed and continued, "In my car, there are three double-barreled shotguns. Their firepower is much stronger than the one you used in Chongshan last time. If we encounter one of those big guys again this time, it will be much easier."

"I can take it down with two shots."

Xu Jiaming said confidently.

"Okay." Chen Chongshan nodded.

"Xiao Linzi, go and get the registration sorted out for us this afternoon. Tomorrow we just need to follow the team and set off."

Fueled by alcohol, Xu Jiaming spoke to Lin Jianbin again.

"No problem, it's just a phone call away." Lin Jianbin nodded.
