Chapter 88 alarmed

Chen Chongshan was quite satisfied with the house. After all, in a place like Tanzhou, it was not an easy thing to rent a room with a yard at such a low price.

It's clear that Yuan Yuan put a lot of thought into this matter.

At noon, Chen Chongshan suggested that he treat Yuan Yuan to lunch, but Yuan Yuan insisted that Chen Chongshan cook for himself, saying that the room had already been cleaned and all he needed to do was buy some oil, salt, rice and vegetables to cook.

Chen Chongshan rarely refused Yuan Yuan's requests. He immediately bought groceries and cooked a sumptuous lunch for himself.

In the afternoon, Chen Chongshan contacted Professor Jiang. After learning that Chen Chongshan had brought Chen Chongming to Tanzhou, Professor Jiang was very satisfied and said that the American medical team would also arrive in Tanzhou tonight and conduct a comprehensive examination on Chen Chongming tomorrow morning.

After receiving confirmation, Chen Chongshan became nervous again. Even Chen Chongming became somewhat silent after arriving in Tanzhou. Compared to Chen Chongshan, he was carrying a heavier burden.

The next morning, Chen Chongshan took Chen Chongming to Yaxiang Hospital. The American expert team had stayed in Hong Kong for a few days before, so they didn't need to adjust to the time difference and could start working immediately.

Professor Jiang's mentor was a white American expert in his sixties. After meeting Chen Chongming, this expert, who had been joking and laughing with Professor Jiang, immediately entered a serious working state.

The entire medical team consisted of eight people, plus the medical staff from Yaxiang Hospital, making a total of more than a dozen people. Apart from taking care of Chen Chongming's emotions, Chen Chongshan seemed to have nothing else to do.

Even so, he dared not leave the hospital. This was the most critical moment for Chen Chongming, concerning his entire life's fate, and Chen Chongshan dared not be negligent in the slightest.

Chen Chongshan spent the entire day in the hospital, watching Chen Chongming lying on the medical equipment, watching a group of medical staff and experts come and go, busy with their work. He even forgot about Ah Huang, who was still locked up in the courtyard.

………………

Ah Huang was locked in this courtyard by Chen Chongshan that morning. Before it could even react, the two Chen brothers had already left.

Ah Huang felt a little panicked again. This courtyard, the noise outside the courtyard, and the whole world of Tanzhou were all unfamiliar to it. Originally, because its owners were by its side, it would not have any other thoughts, but now, its two owners had disappeared once again.

Ah Huang had been waiting here all day. It had only eaten a little something in the morning and was a little hungry, but compared to its hunger, its inner panic was the most important thing. It began to doubt again whether its masters would come back.

As the sun gradually set, Ah Huang's panic intensified over time. It paced anxiously back and forth in the yard, but the yard walls were very high. Although there were a few lookout holes that allowed one to see outside, Ah Huang's enormous body could not possibly pass through them.

The only gate in the courtyard had been bolted shut by Chen Chongshan. Ah Huang couldn't find his way out, and there was no sign that the gate would be opened...

Ah Huang paced back and forth, whimpering. As the sunlight faded, it finally couldn't contain itself and began to bark loudly.

It was confined to this small space, which made it uncomfortable. Without its owner by its side, it felt panicked. It had no other way but to vent its dissatisfaction and dispel its panic by barking.

Ah Huang's roar was extremely loud and powerful, with a penetrating force, like the howl of a wild beast.

The roars coming from here could be heard all over the street outside the courtyard. Many people began to cross the lookout to see what was happening inside. Whenever Ah Huang saw someone appear in that spot, it would bare its teeth at them, as it didn't trust anyone there.

In this unfamiliar place, apart from the Chen brothers, no one else could gain Ah Huang's trust.

This enormous and ferocious dog startled everyone on the street. They had seen large dogs before; there were dogs on this street, such as Alaskan Malamutes, Samoyeds, Golden Retrievers, and Labradors, all of which were quite large. But they had never seen a dog this big, so fierce, with such a terrifying bark.

If it weren't for its distinctly canine features, people would have mistaken it for a wild beast. Some unfamiliar with large dogs even asked, "Is such a big dog a Tibetan Mastiff?"

"I reckon so, otherwise, where would you find such a big dog?"

The crowd exchanged opinions. They knew that fierce dogs were not allowed in the city, and they only knew that Tibetan Mastiffs were the most ferocious breeds.

"Tibetan mastiffs are fierce dogs. I've heard they can be very aggressive towards people other than their owners. And last week I saw on the news that a Tibetan mastiff killed someone."

"Yeah, such a big, ferocious dog, and it's still acting crazy. What if it gets out? Whose house is this? How did such a big, ferocious dog suddenly appear?"

"This is the house of the fifth uncle of the Yan family. It was just rented out a few days ago. I guess it's being maintained by the new tenant."

"That won't do. How can such a big, fierce dog be kept in this busy downtown area? What if it runs away and hurts someone? Does he have a dog license? Does he have a dog tag? Has the dog been vaccinated?"

"Yes, this is a safety hazard. No, no, I'm calling the police. How can you keep a dog here? Even if it doesn't run out and hurt anyone, the barking is disturbing the peace."

"Yes, call quickly. If the police station won't send officers, then call the urban management officers."

As the crowd grew larger, they began exchanging opinions, all expressing a strong sense of rejection towards Ah Huang, the outsider.

As the crowd at the lookout point grew larger and larger, Ah Huang's anxiety intensified. It seemed as if it could understand that they were plotting how to deal with it and how to harm it.

The Chen brothers had not yet returned, and Ah Huang became even more agitated. It bared its teeth, revealing its long fangs, and roared at the crowd at the lookout post.

Its expression turned somewhat ferocious, and its enormous form would occasionally lunge towards the lookout point, making the crowd outside the wall seem to feel a malevolent aura.

This situation made the group even more worried, so they started to split up. Some called the police station, while others called the urban management officers directly, hoping that while they were driving away the vendors, they would also occasionally do some good deeds.
