Ji Xueping entered the room and asked curiously, "How did you get in without a key?"
"Because I'm a villain."
Tang Xiaobao was pouring himself some water to drink.
"What's the meaning?"
"A room lock can only lock up a gentleman, not a villain."
Ji Xueping was amused.
"That makes sense. You're not a gentleman to begin with."
Tang Xiaobao laughed: "Did you get the subpoena?"
Ji Xueping took it out of his bag and handed it to Tang Xiaobao: "Look, it's half past eight the day after tomorrow."
"Okay, okay, that's great."
Tang Xiaobao immediately took out his cell phone and called Huo Guangdi of the Municipal Party Committee. The two parties agreed to meet at the gate of the Intermediate Court at 8:30 the next day.
"You really want him to go with you?"
Ji Xueping stuck out his tongue.
"Yes, that's what we agreed on."
"But you have evidence now, so you don't need him."
"He told me repeatedly last night that he must be notified."
Ji Xueping said, "Did you have dinner with him last night?"
Tang Xiaoding said: "Yes, if you ask someone to do something for you, you must treat them to a meal."
"Thank you."
Ji Xueping suddenly said something.
Tang Xiaobao frowned. "Don't say thank you in the future. It sounds too awkward. Is there any need for that word between us? We're family, so we don't have to talk behind each other's backs. From now on, your business is my business. Come on, pack up your things. Throw away what can be thrown away. I suggest you only bring the necessary clothes and daily necessities. I heard they're well stocked over there."
Ji Xueping said, "That won't do. I just bought these things not long ago. I have to take them with me. I'm too lazy to buy new ones."
In the end, Tang Xiaobao failed to convince Ji Xueping.
The two began to pack their luggage.
Ji Xueping notified the landlord to come over and completed the formalities.
Tang Xiaobao became a laborer, carrying things onto the car one trip at a time.
