Chapter 21 A Chaotic Dance of Demons

The Elders' Hall is an ancient building with special significance in the Fang family.

This building has existed for hundreds of years.

This is the core gathering place of the Fang family's power, a sacred place where the Fang family head and elders discuss important family matters.

The Fang family, as a large clan, has many branches, and naturally, it is not limited to Fang Zhendong's bloodline.

Numerous collateral branches, like the branches of a large tree, spread and grow.

Those qualified to enter the Elders' Hall to participate in discussions all hold pivotal positions in the Fang family. They are either experienced elders or figures with significant influence in family affairs.

In addition, among the core members of the Fang family, such as Fang Han, Fang Yingxue, and Fang Qing, they also have the right to participate in discussions.

However, even if all these people are included, under normal circumstances, the number of people who can enter the Elders' Hall for meetings would not exceed twenty.

But now, there are more than forty people in the Elders' Hall.

The scene was chaotic and filled with noise.

These people looked furious and wanted to force Fang Zhendong to step down.

However, these people were not true elders of the Fang family at all, and they were not qualified to enter the Elders' Hall for discussions.

Their intrusion was like a group of uninvited guests, disrupting the existing order here.

What's even more surprising is that Fang Kunnan's son, Fang Shaohu, who is the same age as Fang Han, was also among the group of people who were forcing Fang Zhendong to step down.

He was tall and broad-shouldered, with a fanaticism on his face that seemed out of place for his age.

Fang Han stood quietly in a corner, watching everything that was happening before his eyes. Everyone's eyes were focused on his father, Fang Zhen, and no one noticed his arrival.

He saw his father, the once incredibly dignified patriarch, now looking utterly helpless.

Those people's words shot at my father like sharp arrows, but he was all alone and helpless.

Fang Han didn't rush to speak; he knew that this matter was far more complicated than it appeared on the surface.

Fang Kunnan is his cousin. For many years, he has been biding his time within the family, like a cheetah lurking in the shadows, waiting for the best opportunity.

This guy's sudden appearance must be because he's made thorough preparations.

Fang Han understood that many members of the collateral branches had probably been won over by Fang Kunnan. Driven by interests or other factors, they had stood on the opposite side of his father, Fang Zhendong.

Of course, he had even deeper speculations.

He felt that Fang Kunnan was likely just someone who stepped forward, while the one who was truly strategizing and controlling the overall situation behind the scenes was probably Fang Kunnan's father, Fang Yuantu.

Fang Yuantu was his great-uncle in terms of seniority, and many years ago, he had many supporters in the collateral branches of the Fang family.

This man is ambitious and has always harbored ill intentions.

Back then, he attempted to compete with Fang Han's grandfather, Fang Gaoyang, for the position of family head.

Now, by having Fang Kunnan cause trouble, he probably wants to reignite the power struggle within the family in order to realize his long-cherished ambition.

"Fang Kunnan, stop acting recklessly. The Elders' Hall is not a place where you can do whatever you want!"

At this tense, almost suffocating moment, an angry voice suddenly rang out.

Everyone looked in the direction of the sound and saw a boy of about eighteen or nineteen years old slowly pushing a wheelchair with a solemn expression.

A man nearing forty sat in a wheelchair, his eyes filled with anger at the group of rebels before him.

The man in the wheelchair was Fang Han's uncle, Fang Sihai.

He was once a spirited and ambitious man, serving as the deputy commander of the Demon Suppression Division's Yanming City Command Office, but now he is confined to a wheelchair.

The boy pushing the wheelchair beside him was Fang Sihai's son, Fang Qing. He stood tall and straight, with a resolute look in his eyes, but his brows were furrowed due to the situation before him.

"Fang Kunnan, do you still remember the heinous mistake you and your father Fang Yuantu made back then, which almost brought our Fang family to ruin? Because of this, my grandfather was furious and issued a strict order that you and your father are no longer allowed to participate in the decision-making of important family matters. The only thing you can do in this Elder Hall is to listen in."

"And now, you have gone so far as to lead these people to storm the Elders' Hall, threaten the Patriarch, and attempt to take your place. This is a heinous crime!"

"If you can pull back from the brink now and stop in time, you might still be able to salvage the situation. Otherwise, don't blame the family for being ruthless and expelling you from the Fang family!"

Fang Sihai spoke again, his eyes burning with rage that seemed to devour Fang Kunnan.

Fang Han stood in the corner, his gaze fixed on Fang Sihai.

Looking at his once valiant and extraordinary uncle, now looking listless and devoid of any true energy, he felt a pang of pain in his heart.

He knew that Fang Sihai's meridians were truly severed and he had lost all his cultivation.

For a cultivator, this is undoubtedly a blow more cruel than death.

Of course, this was because the Zhao family had plotted against his uncle, and he was determined to settle this score. He believed that Tantai Qiuyue would soon be able to find out who in the Demon Suppression Division was involved in this matter.

Fang Sihai's words caused some of the elders in the Elder Hall to fall silent and reminisce.

Twenty years ago, Fang Yuantu and his son Fang Kunnan became addicted to gambling. They sank deeper and deeper into gambling and lost a lot of wealth.

To pay off their huge gambling debts, they secretly stole the Fang family's alchemy formula and sold it to others to repay their debts.

The pill formula was the foundation of the Fang family. Fortunately, Fang Han's grandfather, Fang Gaoyang, discovered this in time and managed to retrieve the formula, preventing it from being leaked. Otherwise, the consequences would have been unimaginable.
