Chapter 262 Wen Hu is defeated

"Want to make a move? Wen Hu, your opponent is me, Gongsun Yaoqin."

In an instant, a clear and firm voice pierced the tense air.

Gongsun Yaoqin moved gracefully, flashing out and drawing her long sword, its cold light gleaming, blocking Wen Hu's path.

She was dressed in white, her clothes fluttering gently in the breeze.

The man before them, Wen Hu, was a renowned mid-level Martial Grandmaster.

Given Zhou Chi's current strength, the outcome of a battle against Wen Hu is truly unpredictable.

Gongsun Yaoqin, although her cultivation level is comparable to Wen Hu's, if they were to truly fight, her combat power would be enough to crush Wen Hu.

"You little girl, you think you can stop me?"

Wen Hu glanced at Gongsun Yaoqin, his voice icy and chilling, as if carrying the frost and snow of winter. His eyes were full of disdain and contempt, as if Gongsun Yaoqin was nothing more than an insignificant ant in his eyes. "You'd better get out of the way right now. I'm going to kill this Zhou Chi first."

Gongsun Yaoqin's lips curled up slightly, revealing a mocking sneer: "Shi Wenshan and Shi Yujiao were both crippled by me, as was Shi Xiu of the Shi family. I'm only doing you a favor by fighting with you. Let me tell you the truth, you won't last fifty moves against my sword."

These words immediately caused an uproar among the surrounding crowd.

Everyone started talking at once, discussing it amongst themselves.

"Wen Hu is a renowned expert in Guyue City. His Cloak Sword Technique is unparalleled and invincible. How could Gongsun Yaoqin underestimate him so much?"

A middle-aged man in a gray robe stared in surprise, his eyes wide.

"Perhaps it was because Zhou Chi killed Wen Ligong in an instant that Gongsun Yaoqin thought the Wen family members were nothing but empty-headed fools."

A slender young man next to him stroked his chin and analyzed the situation.

"But Zhou Chi is tall and strong, and his strength and physical strength are his advantages. The reason he was able to defeat Wen Ligong this time was largely because Wen Ligong did not understand him and even suggested not using his true energy, which was exactly what Zhou Chi wanted."

An elderly man with white hair stroked his beard and spoke slowly.

"It would be such a pity if such a beautiful girl died by Wen Hu's sword."

In the crowd, a young man sighed with regret.

"Yes, I've never seen such a beautiful woman in my life."

Another voice echoed.

"I've heard that the women of Yanming City are graceful and charming, far superior to the women of our Guyue City. I thought it was just Yanming City people exaggerating, but it turns out it's true."

A voice said with a hint of envy.

"Then why don't you go and play the hero and save the damsel in distress? Maybe you can win her heart!"

Someone jokingly remarked.

"I wouldn't dare. Look at Wen Hu, Wen Keren, and those experts from the Wen family. Their eyes are so fierce, it's like they want to eat people."

The person being teased quickly waved his hand, his face showing fear: "I love beautiful women, but I don't want to lose my life because of them."

Gongsun Yaoqin's words were like a boulder thrown into a calm lake, creating ripples that spread far and wide, and the onlookers began to whisper amongst themselves.

"Anyone who stands in my way of taking revenge on Fang Han today, I'll kill them first!"

Wen Hu was thoroughly enraged by Gongsun Yaoqin's words, and the aura within him began to surge wildly like a raging tide.

He slowly approached Gongsun Yaoqin, and with each step he took, the aura emanating from him grew stronger.

The people around felt an overwhelming pressure rushing towards them, making it hard to breathe, as if they were being crushed by an invisible mountain.

"If you want to fight, then fight. Stop putting on airs in front of me. I'd like to see how many of my swords you can withstand!"

Gongsun Yaoqin looked at Wen Hu and snorted coldly.

She knew perfectly well that this Wen Hu was merely trying to suppress her with his imposing manner, aiming to subdue her without a fight—a despicable act.

Wen Hu, that old fox, seemed to be blinded by rage, his whole being like a volcano about to erupt, his aura raging wildly, as if he would burn everything in front of him to ashes in the next second.

In reality, he has always been cautious in his actions, each step like a chess player carefully planning on the board, taking precautions and scheming how to take himself down with the least cost.

Wen Hu also harbored many worries.

City Lord Ye Tiannan, Prefect Chu Wentian, and Commandant Guo Tianyi are all stronger than him, and he is afraid that these three will interfere halfway.

Therefore, a swift and decisive victory is his best course of action at present. Only by eliminating Gongsun Yaoqin as soon as possible can he avoid any unforeseen complications.

Therefore, when he makes a move, it is absolutely thunderous, leaving no chance for anyone to save Gongsun Yaoqin.

Gongsun Yaoqin would not give Wen Hu a chance to build up his strength. Her bright eyes were like cold stars as she stared intently at Wen Hu. Just as Wen Hu's momentum was about to reach its peak, with a "whoosh," her sword was drawn from its sheath.

The sword gleamed with a cold light, like a pool of autumn water.

Instead of gathering sword energy like a typical swordsman, she stomped her foot hard on the ground, causing several fine cracks to appear on the bluestone floor beneath her feet. She shot towards Wen Hu like an arrow released from a bow, with an unstoppable momentum, thrusting her long sword forward in the process.

This sword strike, seemingly simple, was incredibly fast, like lightning slicing through the night sky. The sharp sword energy tore through the air, emitting a hissing sound, giving people a feeling of unstoppable power and invincibility.

Although Wen Hu had been building up his strength, he did not believe that Gongsun Yaoqin had the ability to harm him.

In his mind, a girl who was only eighteen or nineteen years old could cultivate to the level of a high-level martial artist. Although she could be called a genius, the gap between her and him, a mid-level martial master, was like an insurmountable chasm.
