Chapter 135 Do you regret it?
The person who came was Old Master Fu. He had been standing at the door for a while and had heard everything Wen Jingyu said clearly.
"Grandpa Fu!"
Yun Zhaozhao and Wen Jingyu quickly greeted the people. Wen Jingyu looked embarrassed; he hadn't expected to be caught red-handed and was losing face.
Grandpa Fu wasn't angry. He continued, "Jingyu is right, Zhaozhao. Shangluo was indeed in the wrong this time."
As he spoke, he sighed, "Our Fu family also made a mistake in this matter."
Old Master Fu is ashamed that he didn't come to see Yun Zhaozhao immediately after the incident, and hasn't even shown up yet.
"Grandpa Fu, this is none of your business."
Yun Zhaozhao tried to comfort her, saying that she was not a saint and that she had no intention of letting Fu Shangluo go. She just wanted to gain more benefits for herself and the Yun family.
As for Mr. Fu and his family, she finally saw through their true colors this time. However, she didn't have a deep relationship with them and wasn't sad. Her only regret was that Mr. Fu truly treated her as his granddaughter, and she probably wouldn't have any contact with him anymore.
“Zhaozhao, I cannot ask you to forgive Shangluo for what he did. If you need me, or if you need the Fu family to do anything, just tell me.”
"Old Master Fu spoke up."
This implies compensation. After thinking for a moment, Yun Zhaozhao said, "Grandpa Fu, I want the Fu family to stop making things difficult for the Yun and Pei families in the future, is that alright?"
This was something she had planned long ago. If it weren't Grandpa Fu who came today, she would have made additional requests.
However, since Grandpa Fu came in person, she had to give him face.
"There is no problem with the Yun family."
Old Master Fu frowned: "However, the Pei family is in some trouble."
He knew his family's temperament well. They might not hold a grudge against Yun Zhaozhao, but Pei Jiuyan and the others would definitely not let it go, especially since the incident in Shangluo had caused such a big stir and almost ruined his career. His family wouldn't let it go so easily.
He has been retired for several years, and he has no control over what they do behind his back.
"Zhaozhao, Grandpa Fu can only promise you that the Fu family will no longer make things difficult for the Yun family."
As Yun Zhaozhao wished, she did not agree immediately.
This whole thing started because of her.
Silence fell in the ward. Wen Jingyu didn't want to leave at this time, and he felt extremely uncomfortable. Fortunately, Pei Jiuyan and Grandpa Huang came in at that moment.
Grandpa Huang has been coming here whenever he has time these past few days. Xixi opened her eyes these past two days and looks even cuter. The little girl is simply an angel baby. She smiles every time she sees him, which makes Grandpa Huang feel very comfortable.
However, this good mood only lasted until he saw Old Master Fu. Upon seeing Old Master Fu, his face immediately darkened: "What are you doing here?"
He and Grandpa Fu were friends for many years, and their families became friends because of them. Now that things have turned out like this, Yun Zhaozhao felt sorry for them and whispered, "Grandpa."
Grandpa Huang glanced at Yun Zhaozhao but said nothing.
Grandpa Fu sighed, "Old Huang, don't be like this."
"No, please just call me by my name. Your Fu family has high standards, and I wouldn't dare to try to establish a connection with them."
Old Master Huang spoke without any politeness, which made Old Master Fu feel quite uncomfortable.
He had anticipated this outcome when he arrived. He took a deep breath and said, "I came here for Shangluo. Don't act rashly. Making things worse will not benefit either of us. Let's sit down and have a proper talk. We'll do whatever you ask for to make amends, and we'll accept whatever compensation you want."
"Can you lock your precious grandson up for a while?"
"That's what Grandpa Huang said without any politeness."
Upon hearing this, Old Master Fu's expression changed slightly, and Old Master Huang snorted coldly, "If you can't do it, don't talk big here."
“Fu Yuan, let me tell you, your grandson is precious, but my Zhaozhao is also someone I cherish and love. This matter won’t be so easily resolved.”
Pei Jiuyan couldn't help but glance at Old Master Huang. The old man never gave him a good look and his words were never pleasant to hear, but today he felt quite satisfied to hear him scolding others.
In the end, Old Master Fu returned empty-handed, and all the things he brought were sent away. In Old Master Huang's words, although the Yun family is not as powerful as before, they are not lacking in these things.
When asked to leave, Old Master Fu didn't get angry. He knew his friend's temper; if he were in his friend's shoes, he would have acted the same way.
After leaving the hospital, he had someone take him to the police station.
The police station is under immense pressure every day. Fu Shangluo's case isn't a huge deal, but it's not insignificant either. If the victim is willing to forgive, it can be resolved quickly. However, Pei Jiuyan hasn't budged, and there's also pressure from netizens. They don't know what to do for the time being.
Neither the Fu family nor the Pei family can be offended.
Upon hearing that Elder Fu had arrived in person, the senior management hurriedly came out to greet him.
"Mr. Fu, Director Fu is in the interrogation room. Don't worry, he's free."
They dared not put him in the detention room. They had originally thought he would be released on bail soon, but Pei Jiuyan interfered, and Fu Shangluo has been stuck in the police station for the past few days.
"I'll go take a look."
As he spoke, Old Master Fu went over.
Hearing the door open, Fu Shangluo didn't react, still looking at the book in his hand. He assumed it was a lawyer or someone who had come to deliver something.
Apart from the inconvenience of taking a shower, everything else here is fine, and no one really comes to interrogate him.
Then a familiar voice rang out: "Do you know you were wrong now?"
Fu Shangluo turned around in surprise and saw his grandfather standing at the door. He immediately stood up and said, "Grandpa."
He hadn't expected that this matter would alarm his grandfather.
Grandpa Fu, leaning on his cane, walked step by step to Fu Shangluo: "Now, do you know you were wrong?"
Fu Shangluo pursed his lips. He hadn't dared to recall what happened that day for the past few days. He couldn't understand how he had suddenly gone mad and actually pushed Yun Zhaozhao.
He was more anxious than anyone else when Yun Zhaozhao was injured since childhood; he never imagined that one day he would hurt Yun Zhaozhao with his own hands.
"Zhaozhao, is she alright now?"
Fu Shangluo couldn't help but ask. Although the lawyer had been visiting him these past few days and bringing in some news from outside, he didn't know much about Yun Zhaozhao, only that she had given birth and was in good health.
Hearing his eldest grandson's words, Old Master Fu sighed: "At least you still have some conscience."
"I just went to the hospital to see her. She's recovering well and gave birth to a daughter who's very well-behaved."
He didn't get to see the little girl; now that he was in a position to do so, it was no longer appropriate for him to pay too much attention to Yun Zhaozhao's child.
Upon hearing that Yun Zhaozhao had given birth to a daughter, Fu Shangluo smiled and said, "She must be very happy. Does the child look like her? If so, she must be very cute."
He still remembers what Yun Zhaozhao looked like when she was born. He was only a few years old at the time, but he remembers it very clearly. He saw the baby in the cradle at a glance and fell in love with her. He didn't have the same feeling when his younger sister was born.
"Shangluo, if I get you out of here, will you let Zhaozhao and Pei Jiuyan go?"
"Old Master Fu asked."
