Chapter 1: A Man at Sea, Starting with a Fishing Rod (2/2)

Even if you don't get much useful information, it's still nice to watch them chat.

[Yao Le: Family, does anyone understand? I just won 60 million in the lottery and this news came in. That's 60 million! I've never seen so much money in my life. Now, it's all gone. My 60 million is worthless. I'm so unwilling to accept this! Aaaaaah!]

Weining: Holy crap, you're both lucky and unlucky upstairs, but I'm so happy.

Ye Shengsheng: According to some kind of law, although you were in pain, your smile was transferred to my face. Thank you, stranger, for bringing me my first joy in this helpless world.

Wang Min: Who says otherwise? They just suddenly appeared here out of nowhere.

Zhao Xiaoxiao: Hey, what do you guys have there? I don't have anything, just a four-square-meter wooden raft and a broken fishing rod.

Li Li: Same here, we're all just a broken raft and a broken fishing rod.

Zhang Guo: Waaah, it's so scary! I saw a shark! It's been circling my raft so many times.

Zhao Keke: It's the newbie protection period now, the shark won't attack you, don't worry.

Lin Yin: Oh no, I'm doomed! I was just being curious and poked that shark with my fishing rod, and it chewed it up. Is there anyone who can help me fix it?

Zhao Keke: The fishing rod is a bound item; it can't be repaired. The game system mentioned this in the system manual; didn't you read it?

Jiangnan: The guy whose fishing rod got bitten by a shark is really stupid, case closed.

Yunting: I just went for a swim in the sea. Family, I'm telling you from my own dangerous experience, never go into the water, sharks will attack you. If I weren't a swimming champion, I would be dead here.

Shen He: May good people live long and peaceful lives. Thank you for making me give up that idea.

In addition, there were other meaningless, miscellaneous, and complaining remarks.

Shen Jue noticed that the world chat was indeed grayed out, meaning that people in her area couldn't speak. However, people in her local area could, and she even saw a few people chatting nearby.

Those people chatting nearby were clearly looking to meet up in person.

But didn't the game conclude by saying that players can't trust each other?

She should take a look at the game manual first, and see if there's anything she doesn't know.

Shen Jue opened the game manual.

Quickly review the beginner's guide in the game manual.

The following conclusions were drawn.

First, they are newcomers to District 66, meaning there were 65 districts before them.

There are 100,000 people in their district, and so far there have been no casualties.

Secondly, new players have a three-day protection period during which their raft is safe and will not be attacked by sharks or other players.

Thirdly: You only have one fishing rod, which can be upgraded later. Once it is damaged, you will lose your most basic ability to survive.

Fourthly: Wooden crates. These are a source of supplies, and may contain food and materials. If you see one, be sure to use your fishing rod to catch it.

Fifth point: Do not trust unfamiliar players unless they are close friends or family members. Unfamiliar players can steal your raft.

Sixth point: Survive until the large-scale merger.

This beginner's guide is alright, but judging from the last two points, this game is anything but safe. It hints at the possibility of death.

Let's just take it one step at a time. There's no other way now.

P.S.: This is a female-centric story with no romantic pairing. The initial setup might be a bit boring, but the gameplay changes after you arrive on the island.

Additionally, later in the story, it's possible that some male or female characters will develop feelings for the female protagonist.

But the female protagonist is cold-hearted and indifferent, loving no one but her pets. She's determined to be a lone wolf to the end; she has friends, but not many. (If you're going to do this, do it like an invincible protagonist.)

Here's a place to store your thoughts; enjoy reading and seeing pictures for fun. Wishing everyone a happy reading experience!
