Everyone felt their bodies plummeting rapidly, surrounded by darkness and cold.
Shen Jue tried his best to remain calm and mobilized his internal energy to slow down his descent.
Zhao Keke clung tightly to Shen Jue's arm; she didn't want to be separated from him.
As Mu Sheng fell, he shouted everyone's names in an attempt to calm them down.
Lin Jiao screamed in fright, her voice echoing in the darkness.
After an unknown amount of time, the group finally landed on the ground.
They all stood up and looked around.
It was a dimly lit cave with a faint glow emanating from the walls, like the light emanating from some kind of mineral.
"Is everyone alright?" Mu Sheng asked.
Everyone responded that they were fine.
Shen Jue frowned, looking at his surroundings, a sense of unease rising in his heart.
This cave looks very strange; I wonder what danger it hides.
"What do we do now?" Zhao Keke asked.
After a moment of contemplation, Shen Jue said, "Let's first see if there's an exit in this cave, and then we'll figure out a way to get back to the surface."
The group began searching for an exit within the cave. They moved cautiously, afraid of triggering any traps. The cave was filled with a damp, unpleasant atmosphere.
After walking for a while, they discovered a huge stone gate. The gate was carved with strange patterns and symbols, and it looked very ancient.
"Where is this place?" Lin Jiao asked.
Shen Jue stepped forward and carefully examined the patterns and symbols on the stone gate. She noticed that these patterns and symbols were somewhat similar to those on the base of the stone statue, and a thought struck her.
"Perhaps there are some important clues hidden behind this stone door," Shen Jue said.
Mu Sheng nodded and said, "Then let's try to see if we can open this stone door."
Everyone pushed hard on the stone door, but it wouldn't budge. They tried various other methods, but none of them could open it.
Just when everyone felt helpless, Shen Jue activated the Eye of Illusion.
She saw a faint light flowing on the stone gate.
Following the direction of the flowing light, Shen Jue found a hidden mechanism. She gently pressed the mechanism, and the stone door slowly opened.
The group entered the room behind the stone gate, which contained some ancient books and artifacts. Mysterious murals hung on the walls, seemingly depicting an ancient story.
Shen Jue carefully examined the mural, trying to find some clues about August's disappearance.
The mural depicts a mysterious island with a giant human-shaped stone sculpture on it. Strange symbols and lights surround the sculpture, as if it were guarding something.
At the end of the mural, Shen Jue saw a woman trapped by thorns, exactly the same as what she saw in the 3D version of the story.
She was overjoyed, knowing she had found an important clue.
"Finally, the story mission has been triggered!" Lin Jiao was a little excited.
"Great! After three or four days, the mission has finally been triggered." Xia Xiyue also triggered it.
"It seems everyone's missions were triggered at the same time. What missions did you trigger?" Mu Sheng asked.
Lin Jiao: "My mission is to find August."
Xia Xiyue pushed up her slipping glasses. "Mine is also about finding August."
"What a coincidence, my task is the same as yours." Mu Sheng was a little happy.
After brushing the snow off himself, Zhang Guole then checked his task.
"I am also searching for August."
Where are you two?
Zhao Keke glanced at Shen Jue, and seeing that Shen Jue nodded slightly, she felt relieved and told the others.
"My mission and that of Boss Shen are the same as yours: to find August."
“Since everyone has triggered the search for August, these murals must be related to August’s disappearance,” Shen Jue said.
