Chapter 13 The Disdained Zhuang Chaoying

Chapter 13 The Disdained Zhuang Chaoying

Zhuang Chaoying looked at his brother in surprise.

He pushed his glasses up, with some anger on his face, but tried to speak in a calm tone:

"Ganmei, why isn't this my home?"

"This is originally..." Zhuang Ganmei was about to answer when Zhuang's mother came over.

She glanced at the third brother and said with a smile:

"Your brother didn't mean it like that. He just spoke too quickly! Then you can stay here today! But you have to sleep on the floor."

Zhuang Chaoying glanced at Zhuang's mother and immediately felt grateful.

A child with a mother is like a treasure!

A mother still loves her son!

During dinner, Zhuang Chaoying received countless cold stares from his sister-in-law, but he said nothing.

He remembered that Huang Ling once said that when she took the two children to dinner, Lin Fang's face was longer than a horse's. He didn't believe it. In his eyes, Lin Fang was a well-educated and well-mannered woman. Unexpectedly, what Huang Ling said was true.

When serving him rice, Lin Fang deliberately loosened the rice grains so that it looked like a large bowl, but in fact it was only two mouthfuls.

Moreover, he was drinking water in the kitchen just now and clearly saw Lin Fang cooked four dishes, but now that everyone sat down to eat, there were only three dishes on the table.

The meal is definitely not enough to fill you up.

Zhuang Chaoying recalled the past days, before his mother's birthday, when Huang Ling would always give the food in her bowl to him and Tuanan.

But now, no one gave him more food, and he didn't even dare to add another bowl.

I guess there is no need to add more.

Because he saw that the rice in his brother's bowl was packed so solid that it wouldn't fall over even if he stuck his chopsticks in it.

After dinner, he wanted to use the excuse of going out for a walk. If he went out, they wouldn't feel so crowded, but after thinking about it, he gave up.

Go out for a walk, the food I hadn't eaten yet will be digested, how can I sleep in the second half of the night?

When he rested at night, Zhuang's father used stools to make a bed for him, and gave him a thin quilt, letting him use it as a cushion and a cover for himself, just to make do with it.

It was obvious that there was no intention to let him stay for two more days.

He is stupid, but not that stupid.

There was already a quarrel in Zhuang Ganmei's room. Although they seemed to be suppressing their voices, they were actually talking to him.

Lin Fang didn't learn anything good, but she learned a lot from Zhuang's mother's weirdness.

She hesitated, as if she was quite worried:

"What should I do? It's the end of the month and the rations are running low! How can someone come here so suddenly and stay for several days?"

Zhuang Ganmei angrily said, "How should I know? They're all hungry!"

Lin Fang sighed: "No, let's go borrow some tomorrow! He is the eldest brother after all."

One of them played the good cop and the other the bad cop, and they worked together very well.

Zhuang Ganmei scolded again: "You have a pig brain! Who has extra money these days? Lend it to me, what family? Besides, how can you be so shameless?"

It turned out that they also knew that no one had any surplus food.

But they still wanted to send their two sons to their uncle's house for the winter vacation, but they didn't think about where the two sons would get food from.

Zhuang Chaoying lay on the uncomfortable bench, his nose running with runny nose from the cold. His heart was even colder, and he couldn't fall asleep.

After thinking for a long time, he felt that there were only two solutions:

First, borrow money to buy a ticket to find Huang Ling and invite her back.

Second, he would pry open the door lock first, then borrow some money for himself and wait for Huang Ling to calm down.

In short, you have to borrow money.

The next morning, the family woke up and had vegetarian noodles.

The bowl in Zhuang Chaoying's hand was quite big, but there was more soup than noodles with just one chopstick. He hadn't eaten enough in the evening, and he was already starving. When he saw the chopstick again, he was really angry.

I took a bite and found that there was not even any salt in it.

So, he said to his sister-in-law, "Lin Fang, give me some more."

"Brother, I have to go to work now! It's too late."

"Then I'll go down by myself."

"We've run out of coal briquettes. We can't buy more until Gan Mei gets off work."

"Then you don't eat lunch?"

"I bought lunch from the company cafeteria at noon, but I didn't have enough meal tickets, maybe..." Lin Fang pretended to be weak.

"Brother, why are you talking to Lin Fang so loudly? It's none of her business! How can I serve you? The meal is ready!" Zhuang Ganmei finished his noodles in a few mouthfuls, put on his coat and went out.

Zhuang Chaoying felt that he could not swallow the noodles in his mouth. He put down his chopsticks, lowered his head, and did not speak for a long time.

It was not until the couple left the house that he spoke to Zhuang's father and mother in a hoarse voice:

"I give you twenty-five bucks a month, and that's how they treat me.

Every time Huang Ling comes, she buys food for the two children. My son Tunan and Xiaoting have never eaten a single candy from them.

Every winter, Huang Ling would knit new sweaters for the two children, but Lin Fang didn't give Tunan and Xiaoting any wool.

Zhuang's father was unhappy when he heard his son's words:

"You're the eldest brother! You're the eldest uncle! Why are you arguing with your younger brother and nephew?"

Zhuang Chaoying sneered: "It's always the same. Besides this, what else have I gained from you? Should our whole family pay for it?"

Zhuang's father slammed the table: "What are you talking about? You didn't give me the 25th of every month this month!"

"Dad, but I have been giving it to you for so many years."

"You want to settle accounts with us now, right? We have raised you for so many years, why don't you settle accounts with us? You are such an ungrateful person!" Zhuang's father slammed the table.

"Bang", the table legs tilted, the table broke, and all the confiscated bowls on the table fell to the ground.

Zhuang's mother cried out in pain.

Zhuang Chaoying lowered his head and stood aside timidly.

The thought of borrowing money was no longer an option.

He silently packed up his things and was stopped by Zhuang's mother.

"Okay, okay, don't be angry with your dad. Don't you know his temper? Stay, stay. Find a way to get it. There will always be a way."

After hearing his mother's words and having her hold his hand, he felt less sad.

Begin to understand the difficulties faced by my father and mother.

"Mom and Dad, I'm sorry, I was wrong." He apologized sincerely.

"Okay, okay, it's all Huang Ling's fault! Why did she go back to her parents' home for free and brought the children with her? Two children together only need one adult ticket! Oh! She is so willing to give it up!" Zhuang's mother kept nagging.

"That's right! I've never seen such a neglectful person! Doesn't she want her husband anymore? Doesn't she know that her husband is the sky of the family! The head of the family? That's really too much! Chaoying! When she comes back, you must criticize her!" Zhuang's father also chimed in.

Zhuang Chaoying didn't say anything else. He stood up and planned to go out to borrow money.

After walking out of the dealership, he was still confused.

After wandering around for a long time, he still couldn't decide who to borrow money from. He was shy and it was the end of the year, so he couldn't bring himself to ask.

At noon, he returned to the banker.

Before I even entered the room, I heard a small meeting in the room discussing something about him.

He subconsciously slowed down his pace and listened attentively to what they said.
