Chapter 246: Today’s Buns Are Not for Sale

Chapter 246: Today’s Buns Are Not for Sale

Hongbin followed Zhu Xiuyu to make a batch of braised pork buns and put them on the breakfast stall converted from a tricycle.

He was about to pedal towards the hospital, but Zhu Xiuyu pointed him in another direction.

"Mom, aren't we setting up the show at the hospital today?" Hongbin asked curiously.

Zhu Xiuyu shook her head: "Son, let's go to a different place today. It's a bit far. If you find it tiring, you can let me ride."

“Then where should we put it?”

"Your Aunt Huang's place."

Hong Bin seemed to understand: "Do you want Aunt Huang to help me choose a school?"

"Your Aunt Huang knows a lot, so you can be right by listening to her," Zhu Xiu Yu said firmly.

Hong Bin paused and said in embarrassment:

"Mom, but Dad seemed very angry yesterday..."

"This is a big deal. Your future is more important than him being angry. Don't worry, if he is angry, he will only be angry with me. Don't be afraid." Zhu Xiu Yu said firmly.

Hongbin had actually planned to ask Huang Ling quietly, but because there was a huge gap between his grades and Tuanan's, he thought Huang Ling would only pay attention to good schools and not provincial or even local schools, so he gave up.

When the two arrived at the garment factory, it was working hours.

Hongbin was familiar with Uncle Zhang, so he gave him five big buns for breakfast.

"Uncle Zhang, my mother made this herself, try it!"

"I can smell the fragrance even before I eat it. Hongbin, what are you doing..."

"My mom said that I did well on the test this time thanks to Aunt Huang, so she made some buns for her."

"Then come in!" Uncle Zhang wanted to help Zhu Xiu Yu push the car into the gate, but Zhu Xiu Yu refused.

"Thank you! Let's wait for Sister Huang Ling to come!"

"Five more minutes." Uncle Zhang looked at the clock on the wall.

Huang Ling has a husband who is a soldier. They don’t even need an alarm clock at home because there is a wake-up service on time every day.

When Tuanan was at home, Huang Ling would not bring Xiaoting to work and let the two siblings stay at home.

Dongzhe brought Xiaoting with him on the day he came to class, because if Xiaoting didn't come, Huang Ling would have to keep her eyes on Dongzhe, otherwise he would go to heaven.

Tuanan didn't go out today and Dongzhe didn't come to class, so Huang Ling didn't bring Xiaoting with her.

The two people waiting outside the gate saw Zhou Huaiyi riding a bicycle to pick up Huang Ling.

Huang Ling is a person who has all the good qualities, except that she is not accustomed to the road, uncoordinated, and likes to think about things. After she fell off her bicycle twice, Zhou Huaiyi now gives her a ride whenever he can, for fear that he will have to look for her in the ditch one day.

Zhou Huaiyi parked the car at the factory gate, asked her to get out, and handed her the bag from the basket.

The two men came forward to greet Zhou Huaiyi.

"Director Zhou."

"Uncle Zhou."

"Sister Zhu, Hongbin, congratulations in advance! I heard from Tunan that you did well in the exam."

"Thank you, Uncle Zhou." Hongbin felt a little embarrassed.

The three of them watched Zhou Huaiyi leave, and then Huang Ling looked at Zhu Xiu Yu.

"Sister, I made some meat buns to thank you. Hongbin also helped." Zhu Xiu Yu pointed to the cart.

Huang Ling saw the buns were full and asked, "Why didn't you go to the hospital to set up a stall today when there are so many?"

Zhu Xiuyu smiled and shook her head.

"No, I can't accept it. So, Hongbin, help your mother push it to the gate of the second factory. It's working hours now, and it can be sold quickly." Huang Ling didn't want to accept it.

The main reason was that she saw that there were dozens of buns in the cart, and the cost was quite high.

"No, no, it's not for sale today. I brought it here specially for you to try." Zhu Xiu Yu hurriedly stopped him.

"Auntie Huang, we don't sell buns today." Hongbin also shook his head.

Seeing that the two had made up their minds, Huang Ling had no choice but to say:

"It's not easy to run a business, but I just wanted to change the food for my employees at noon. How many buns are there? I'll buy yours. Your buns are delicious. I know they're better than any other buns in other shops."

"It's free, really. You can decide how to eat it. Even Hongbin can't tell the number of people in the factory. I can only estimate how much I made based on my ingredients, and I don't know if it's enough to share." Zhu Xiu Yu looked at Huang Ling eagerly.

Huang Ling knew her character. If she didn't accept the gift, she might not dare to ask about the application process. So Huang Ling nodded.

"Okay, then I'll take it. Thank you, Sister Zhu."

"Oh, good!"

Accepting the things meant agreeing to help, so Zhu Xiu Yu felt relieved.

Huang Ling handed the car and buns to Uncle Zhang to arrange, and led the two of them into the negotiation room.

Seeing that the two were sweating, he poured them some water first.

Hongbin didn't want his mother to work hard, so he rode the bike all the way. He picked up the water and drank half of it in one breath.

"Drink slowly!" Huang Ling and Zhu Xiu Yu reminded gently at the same time.

"It's all my fault. I was in such a hurry to get out that I forgot to bring him some water." Zhu Xiu Yu looked at her son with heartache.

"It's too far for you to come from the Chinese medicine hospital." Huang Ling said as she took out two handkerchiefs, one green and one blue, from the cabinet and gave one to each of them to wipe their sweat.

Zhu Xiu Yu took the "new" one in her hand and took a look.

"Well, this is made from scraps as a gift to customers. Take it." Huang Ling replied.

Zhu Xiu Yu held the handkerchief in her hand, thanked him, and then mentioned the registration matter.

Huang Ling smiled and said, "Yesterday, Tunan came back and said that Teacher Zhuang wanted Tunan to lower his application. I knew that Tunan's trip yesterday was in vain."

Zhu Xiuyu hurriedly said:

"How could this be a wasted trip? I carefully read what Tunan copied, but I still don't understand it. Hongbin can't make up his mind, so I figured I'd come here today to ask for your help."

"But..." Huang Ling hesitated a little.

"I know. His aunt, you are just suggesting it. Whether or not he can go is up to Hongbin himself. Please help me."

"I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about Teacher Zhuang..."

As for Tuanan's application for college, she may not care about Zhuang Chaoying because it doesn't matter, but the mother and son don't know.

Unexpectedly, Zhu Xiuyu said firmly: "I will listen to you. I don't believe anyone else."

No matter who you are, you have to line up behind Hongbin.

Huang Ling stood up, took out a notebook from her bag, tore off a piece of paper and handed it to Hongbin.

Hongbin took a look and saw that the first line listed estimated scores and hobbies, followed by two application options below.

"Choose one of the two. The schools are of similar quality, but there are slight differences in their majors. Hongbin, consider your future career prospects and choose the industry you want to work in first."

Huang Ling's tone was confident and firm, and Hongbin and Zhu Xiuyu finally put their minds at ease.

She explained to them the composition of the plan and why she chose that plan, and Hongbin suddenly felt enlightened.

"Just for your reference, Hongbin, go back and think about it carefully. There's still time."

Hong Bin nodded heavily: "I know, thank you Aunt Huang."

The two men put the paper away and left the garment factory.

Uncle Zhang told Huang Ling that Zhu Xiuyu had sent a total of sixty buns.

"It tastes really good." Uncle Zhang was still a little unsatisfied.

"Right! Then we can ask Sister Zhu to make it for us a few times every month and send it to everyone to change the taste." Huang Ling replied.
