Chapter 387 Sending Loquats
Zhu Xiu Yu hurried to Suihua Tower. When everyone saw her, they just called her and then went about their own business.
She walked into the lobby and asked Xiao Liping, the floor manager, about the morning market today.
Several floor managers take turns serving as supervisors every month to hone their abilities.
Xiao Liping answered all the questions one by one, without missing a single one, and then added:
"Pengfei told Jiarong yesterday that he thought you might want to rest a little more today. Don't worry, we do the same work every day, so there's no problem."
As soon as Xiao Liping arrived at work in the morning, she saw the message left by Zhang Jiarong on the handover book, saying that Zhu Xiuyu was busy until very late yesterday and drank alcohol, so she would probably be late.
"Thank you for your hard work!"
Zhu Xiu Yu looked around and briefly checked the morning's accounts before she felt relieved.
Finally, she stood in the yard, looking at the wine jar in the corner of the yard, covering her chest and sighing "Ouch".
Zhang Jiarong, who was in the middle class, saw her standing there and thought there was something wrong, so she walked over and asked:
"Manager Zhu, what's wrong?"
"Oh, I drank so much in one meal, it's all money!"
Zhang Jiarong laughed and said, "You didn't feel bad at all when you drank yesterday!"
"I didn't know I drank so much..." Zhu Xiu Yu felt distressed.
"Do you know what they are calling you now? The whole Laodong Road knows it this morning." Zhang Jiarong pointed outside the house.
"It must be some embarrassing nickname. Don't say it anymore. My face..." Zhu Xiu Yu blushed suddenly.
"They call you 'Show Three Pounds'!"
"Ah, three pounds!"
"I estimate it's more than three pounds!"
"It's all money!" Zhu Xiu Yu rubbed her forehead hard.
This dinner earned Zhu Xiu Yu the nickname "Xiu San Jin" which became famous throughout the entire Laodong Road.
But she certainly didn't dare drink a drop of alcohol.
In the afternoon, Zhu Xiu Yu took advantage of the fact that there were not many customers and went to Yuesheng Department Store. She would check the situation of the sauce shop from time to time.
Now this shop is considered a small branch of Suihualou. It has hung up the Suihualou sign and sells some classic pickles. Suihualou makes them anyway, so they just make a pot and deliver it every morning.
If the items are sold quickly, you can ask Suihualou to deliver them. If they are sold too slowly, you can send them back to Suihualou before the night market.
When the girl working in the shop saw her coming, she called out, "Manager Zhu..."
"Oh, thank you for your hard work." But Zhu Xiu Yu did not stop in front of the shop and went straight into the department store.
The little girl reached for the cabinet door and then retracted her hand. It seemed that Zhu Xiu Yu was not here to check the food or the accounts.
Sure enough, Zhu Xiu Yu left after staying for a while. She passed by the shop and took a look at the goods. After finding that they were almost ready, she said "thank you for your hard work" and then went back to Suihua Tower.
-----
Pengfei got up early in the morning and saw Huang Ling and Zhu Xiu Yu still sleeping. He quietly steamed buns for himself for breakfast, and also steamed some for the two of them and put them in the steamer. He left a note for them and went to school.
Seeing that class hadn't started yet, Xiaoting came to him and said, "Brother, is Aunt Zhu okay?"
Pengfei nodded: "It's okay, when I left, she and aunt were still asleep, and I heard that they didn't make any noise at night, so it's okay."
"Aunt Zhu is more impressive. My mother got drunk once and started talking nonsense. She dragged Uncle Zhou along and kept talking for an hour. Uncle Zhou said that my mother shouldn't do business, but should write novels. She has a very rich imagination.
Then she pulled me and said, Xiaoting, if I go back, I'm not afraid. Aunt Song is your mother, you know. If I didn't answer her, she would shake me like this and would not let go until I said okay.
Xiaoting held Pengfei's book in both hands and stretched it in front of her and shook it.
"That...isn't nonsense! I think Aunt Song loves you more than Dongzhe. She's more than just half your mother, almost half." Pengfei said with a smile.
"That's right, but she said that she won't be able to see me again if she goes back. No matter where she goes back to, as long as she doesn't have money to buy a ticket, she can still ride a bicycle back to Changzhou, right?" Xiaoting said again.
"You probably can't ride mine."
After Pengfei finished speaking, Xiaoting was amused by him. Thinking of the bicycle, she suggested:
"Brother, the money you deposited with me is almost enough to buy a bicycle. I'll pay for the difference and buy you a new one."
Pengfei and Lin Dongzhe's money is all with Xiaoting, and she knows exactly how much wealth they have.
"No, no, no, I don't need it. My money is useful." Pengfei waved his hands quickly.
When the bell rang, Xiaoting had to give up.
After school in the afternoon, Dongzhe went out of the school with the two of them under the pretext of looking for Pengfei.
The three of them always left the school together and walked together for a while until they had to separate.
Xiaoting's foot has recovered and she can now ride her bike home by herself.
As the three of them walked to the school gate, they saw Zhuang Chaoying.
"Uncle."
"dad."
"Uncle Zhuang."
"Hey." Zhuang Chaoying responded.
Lin Dongzhe saw Zhuang Chaoying holding two net bags and immediately said, "Uncle Zhuang, Xiaoting, Pengfei, I'm leaving first. Goodbye!"
After saying that, he rode away on his bike.
Zhuang Chaoying hung two bags, one on Pengfei's handlebar and the other on Xiaoting's handlebar.
"These are loquats given by the school to teachers. You can take them home and eat them." Zhuang Chaoying looked at the two children with evasive eyes, afraid that they would reject him.
Pengfei and Xiaoting looked at each other and said at the same time:
"Thank you, Dad."
"Thank you, uncle."
Zhuang Chaoying breathed a sigh of relief and asked, "Xiaoting's grades are stable, right? How about Pengfei?"
"Yes, stable." Xiaoting nodded.
"Uncle, I'm doing pretty well too. My total score in the midterm exam has even been raised. Don't worry." Pengfei also told him.
"That's good, that's good."
The three of them chatted awkwardly for a few minutes, and Zhuang Chaoying waved his hand and said:
"Go back quickly! Be careful on the road."
So Pengfei and Xiaoting said goodbye to Zhuang Chaoying.
Xiaoting kept looking back while riding, and when she could no longer see Zhuang Chaoying, she called out to Pengfei, "Brother, wait a minute!"
Pengfei stopped.
Xiaoting hung the net bag of loquats on her handlebars to Pengfei's other handlebar.
"Take it to Suihua Building. There are many people there, and your little bit won't be enough to go around."
Pengfei thought about it and said happily, "Okay!"
"Then ride slower with things hanging on the handlebars!" Xiaoting instructed.
"I know, you are the one. Don't ride too hard or you'll hurt your feet."
"good."
The two separated at the intersection.
Pengfei rode his broken bicycle to Suihua Tower.
It was just the time for the evening market to begin. He parked the car, carried loquats and went into the yard to look for Zhu Xiu Yu.
Zhu Xiu Yu had just finished checking the private room in the back building and saw Peng Fei when she came out.
"Aunt, how are you? Are you feeling unwell?"
"No, it's fine."
When Zhu Xiu Yu came over, Peng Fei showed her the two bags of loquats in his hand.
"Where did you buy it?" Zhu Xiu Yu asked.
"No, it was given to me by my uncle's school. He just delivered it to the school gate for me to take home." Pengfei answered honestly.
He looked at Zhu Xiuyu's expression and said, "I'll put it in the lounge for my brothers and sisters to eat."
Zhu Xiuyu listened and nodded: "Okay."
She took the loquat and handed it to a passing waiter, asking him to take it to the lounge to share with everyone.
Pengfei was about to go to the office to do his homework, but Zhu Xiuyu stopped him:
"Pengfei, come here. I'll show you something."
