Chapter 567 The Flying Man Comes Back to Help
Pengfei came out to see what was happening when he heard the sound of the courtyard gate. When he saw that it was his two brothers, he was shocked and hurried to greet them.
"Auntie, how are you? Are you not getting angry?" Tuanan asked in a low voice.
"How can I not get angry?" Pengfei answered in a low voice.
Tunan walked in the yard and called out, "Auntie, Dad."
Hongbin also shouted: "Dad, Mom, my brother is back."
When Zhu Xiu Yu heard Tuanan's voice, she almost ran out of the room.
Tunan said gently, "Auntie, I'm back."
"Why do you come back to work? Aren't you extremely busy every day?" Zhu Xiu Yu asked in a crying voice.
"It's okay. I happened to be on a business trip to Shanghai and was supposed to be back. Yesterday, my boss was shocked when he saw my attendance record. I've only had three days off in over four months since the Lunar New Year. He quickly told me to come home and visit. There's no rush."
Tunan patted her back comfortingly.
Zhu Xiuyu didn't believe it, but was very happy.
"Mom, I'll take the earliest train tomorrow so I won't be late for work." Hong Bin knew that he was the next one, so he took the initiative.
"Have you eaten? I'll go heat up some food for you." Zhu Xiu Yu asked, holding Tuanan's hand tightly.
"I really haven't eaten it." Hongbin replied.
"Oh, it's already this late, you must be starving! Come inside quickly."
Zhu Xiu Yu hurriedly turned around and went into the kitchen. She had left some food for Zhuang Hualin and Xiang Dong, so she gave it to the two children first and waited for Zhuang Hualin and Xiang Dong to come back to cook noodles for them.
Zhuang Chaoying leaned against the door, looking at her two sons at the bottom of the stairs. They were tall, straight, and steady. For some reason, tears just flowed down her face.
"Dad." Tunan called out.
Zhuang Chaoying couldn't hold on any longer and his legs went limp. Tuanan quickly caught him and Hongbin also stepped forward. The two of them helped him into the room.
"Dad is useless. Dad has embarrassed you. Now I want you to run back from so far away... Dad... I'm useless, really useless..." Zhuang Chaoying burst into tears.
He had never been so embarrassed in front of children.
"Dad, don't say that. This is not your problem. This is not bullying. This is a crime." Tuanan said calmly.
"That's right! It's too much!" Hong Bin gritted his teeth in anger. He knew how important this book was to Zhuang Chaoying, and how it also had a subtle impact on the relationship between his parents.
"Dad, take a rest, don't worry." Tuanan comforted him.
He looked at Pengfei again and said, "Hongbin, go wash your face. It's time for dinner."
The three brothers went out to the bathroom in tacit understanding.
Under the dim light of the bathroom, the two brothers listened to Pengfei's report:
"That grandson surnamed Sun didn't do it for money, but just for fame, so he didn't print many books. Currently, they are only sold in the Xinhua Bookstore in Suzhou.
We went to find Chen Shurui. His mother is now the manager of Xinhua Bookstore. After hearing what we said, she took the matter very seriously and put the books away. She said she would find a solution and that it would be okay to delay for a while.
"Well, I remember this Chen Shurui. He was Xiaoting's classmate in junior high and high school. I didn't expect him to be able to help. I must thank him well next time." Tuanan nodded.
Pengfei continued, "And then, all of my uncle's notes from the time he started writing the book weren't lost, not a single page. They were just a little messy. We've helped sort them all out over the past two days. This is information that Sun definitely doesn't have."
"Well done," Tunan nodded and asked, "Did you buy the book?"
"Yes, Xiaoting stayed up all night to read it and found several important places where the word "marking" was mentioned. However, the person surnamed Sun had no experience in marking college entrance examination papers. I guess he didn't read the whole book, so he didn't pick it out.
Xiaoting also said that we could start with those college entrance examination questions. There were several solutions to those questions, but not all of them were thought up by my uncle. Instead, they were discussed by the teachers who graded the papers at the time, so only those who graded the papers would know them.
Hong Bin couldn't help but admire:
"Xiaoting is so amazing! I really admire her!"
Tuanan looked at Pengfei and felt that his younger brothers and sisters had grown up.
Those noisy kids who followed him around are now adults who can stand on their own.
"Dongzhe and I used the address book my uncle gave us and contacted several teachers who had graded the papers with him. Two of them remembered that my uncle had contacted them when he was preparing materials for the book, and they had discussed several of the questions."
"Great!" Tunan patted Pengfei on the shoulder. "I've already asked our alumni in Shanghai for help, and tomorrow I'll ask our alumni in Suzhou for help. They're reporters and editors for newspapers and literary magazines. Let's organize a large-scale interview for Vice President Sun."
Only then did Hongbin realize that his brother Tuanan had gone to Shanghai for a whole day to do this.
"Brother...what can I do?" Hongbin asked, scratching his head.
"The time we agreed to meet is the day after tomorrow, which happens to be a weekend. You are responsible for taking good care of aunt and dad. I'm afraid dad will collapse. He will feel much more at ease with you around." Tuanan patted Hongbin's shoulder again.
"Okay, no problem." Hongbin nodded quickly.
"The transferred editor is also the key. It would be great if we could find him." Tuanan frowned.
"My aunt asked Brother Wanghai for help. He helped find the man's current unit, but my aunt said we can't go to him directly. We're afraid that if we go to him, people will say that we threatened us." Pengfei replied again.
"Okay, give me the information and I'll arrange it." Tuanan was completely relieved.
"Okay, I'll write them all down in my notebook!" Pengfei nodded quickly.
"Pengfei, Xiaoting just needs to do the work behind the scenes, but don't let her come into contact with these messy people!" Tuanan instructed again.
"That's right, and you too. This Sun guy has thugs, so you should be careful too. Don't force yourself when something happens, run away first." Hong Bin also said worriedly.
"Brother, don't worry! We won't take Xiaoting with us wherever we go. She will just be waiting for a call at home." Pengfei told them.
The three of them were returning home from the bathroom when they happened to meet Zhuang Hualin and Xiangdong who were returning from get off work.
During this period, a nurse in the clinic was on vacation after giving birth and could not be found, so she worked double shifts every few days, working from 7 am to 7 pm. Xiangdong would pick her up after get off work at 5:30 pm and come back together.
Seeing the three young men in the yard, Zhuang Hualin cried out in a tearful voice:
"Tunan and Hongbin are back, right?"
"Aunt, Uncle." The two responded.
"That's good! We have a backbone now! Your father and aunt don't dare to tell you." Zhuang Hualin was very happy.
"If I don't come back, there are still Pengfei and the others! They are the same, more capable than me." Tuanan praised sincerely.
He had dinner and went home.
The three members of the family at home were all awake, waiting for him.
He just stood at the door and laughed.
Huang Ling saw him laughing, so she deliberately put on a stern face and said, "I won't say anything about you if you laugh, right?"
Zhou Huaiyi hurried forward, put his arm around Tunan's shoulders, and helped Yuan:
"Come back and see how nice it is for us. You don't miss your son, but I do! We'll take a plane back too, and I'll pay for it."
"Just spoil them! After you spoil one, you spoil the other." Huang Ling shook her head, looking at her daughter and then at her son.
"Mom, I brought back a finished map for you to use to expand your territory. This map is so important that I was hesitant to mail it, but I also thought you would be anxious to see it, so I brought it back in person." Tuanan said with a smile.
Huang Ling's eyes lit up, and she quickly jumped up and said, "My dear son, you've worked so hard! Let's take a plane back home, and your uncle will pay."
