Chapter 354 Shanshan and Zheyu (additional update)
【Guangzhou】
Wu Shanshan walked out of the teaching building with her books in her arms, and saw a young man in white clothes waving at her with a bright smile.
Just like the day she finished the college entrance examination, Wu Shanshan's eyes were filled with tears.
"Shanshan, who is that?"
"Is he your boyfriend?" asked the female classmate who left get out of class with Wu Shanshan.
"Ah... yes..." Wu Shanshan blushed and nodded.
"Wow, so handsome!"
"It's nothing to do with you being handsome!"
"I mean, they're a perfect match, a perfect match for our Shanshan!"
"Don't delay others, go away quickly!" Everyone left with a smile.
Xie Zheyu came forward to greet him.
"Why didn't you call in advance so that Xiaojun and I could pick you up?" Wu Shanshan asked in surprise, the blush on her face still not fading.
"What a surprise! How can a phone call be called a surprise?" Xie Zheyu said with a smile.
Wu Shanshan saw that he was carrying a schoolbag alone, so she asked, "Where's the luggage?"
"I just went to your house and left my things at the aunt's house next door. Come on, let's pick up Xiaojun from school and then take you to dinner." Xie Zheyu took the book from Wu Shanshan's hand and the schoolbag on her shoulder.
"Let's go to the factory cafeteria..." Wu Shanshan suggested because she was afraid of spending money.
"Hey, you said it! I have no objection." Xie Zheyu looked at her with a smile and raised his eyebrows.
Wu Shanshan immediately understood that everyone would probably not even have time to eat and would just stare at them, so she decided to forget it.
She led Xie Zheyu to Wu Jun's school.
Along the way, Xie Zheyu kept talking, and Wu Shanshan felt as if a breeze was blowing through her heart, sweeping away all her fatigue and gloom.
Guangzhou was already very hot. Seeing beads of sweat on Xie Zheyu's forehead, she took out a handkerchief from her pocket and handed it to him.
"My hands are busy." He said, and bent down, bringing his face closer to her height.
Wu Shanshan was almost going crazy. She looked around and luckily there were not many people in the alley, so she wiped his face a few times and then walked forward quickly.
Xie Zheyu chased after him with a smile.
As soon as Wu Jun got out of school, he saw the two of them waiting for him outside the school gate. He jumped for joy and came over:
"Sister~~~~husband~~~~!"
“Hey~~~~!”
The two of them called out to each other and responded, and gave each other a big hug.
Wu Shanshan, who was standing by, wished she could find a hole in the ground to crawl into.
The three of them chose an affordable restaurant near the school to eat.
Xie Zheyu enjoyed the mixed fish pot, sizzling lettuce pot, steamed spare ribs with black bean sauce, and stuffed tofu with great relish.
After dinner, Xie Zheyu wanted to pay, but Wu Shanshan refused. She said, "I have a salary, and you don't."
Xie Zheyu rolled his eyes at her:
"Do you think our Factory Director Huang would leave a talent like me in Beijing without using me? If she wants to use me, would she not pay me? Even if she doesn't use me, I can still find something to do to earn money!"
After being asked three times, Wu Shanshan withdrew her hand.
The three of them walked home side by side. Wu Shanshan couldn't help but curl up the corners of her mouth as she listened to her brother and Xie Zheyu chatting animatedly.
Xie Zheyu told them that the cotton mill was no longer recruiting workers.
"Someone's wishful thinking was wrong, haha!" Wu Jun said happily.
Xie Zheyu then told the two of them all the information he knew:
"Anyway, I heard from Dongzhe that Zhang Min is in a pretty bad situation. Her uncle swindled all the family money, and her mother smashed up the store and lost a lot of money. That's not all. She had originally been hired as a temporary worker at the branch factory, but was fired not long after.
I haven't even gotten my diploma yet, and this is just an internship. I haven't signed a formal temporary contract. If they say they don't want me, then they don't want me. I don't know what to do when I get my diploma in June. Anyway, the textile industry is not hiring anymore."
Wu Shanshan smiled and said, "Auntie Huang said it long ago. The cotton mill has a large business, old machines, low efficiency, and a single product. It will fail sooner or later."
Xie Zheyu nodded: "Our dyeing factory is quite profitable."
"Well, the director of your dyeing factory is a friend of Aunt Huang. He has improved his service direction. He not only accepts orders from cotton mills but also orders from other private factories. He also provides customized services, so business must be good."
"I see. I have to thank Aunt Huang on behalf of my parents," Xie Zheyu said with emotion. "No, why do I feel like you have Aunt Huang's flavor when you talk about serious matters?"
The three of them had put Zhang Min's matter behind them and started talking about their upcoming summer vacation plans.
After Xie Zheyu returned to Suzhou to visit his family, he came to Guangzhou to find a job. Wu Shanshan and Wu Jun were very happy to hear his decision.
