Chapter 1074 Breeding Discontent!

Hearing Sun Yue thank him, Xiao Du was momentarily dazed, as if the two of them were not on bad terms now.

Instead, it was like seeing a long-lost friend. Just this one sentence made Xiao Du quickly turn his head away, his back to Sun Yue, his head down, not daring to look at Sun Yue.

"Master, what's wrong?"

As the master's apprentice, I had never seen my master like this before. I thought my master was not feeling well, so I asked him anxiously.

"I'm fine, I just remembered a lot of things from the past."

When his apprentice asked him this question, Du Feng recalled the past. He and Sun Yue had arrived at the police station in the same batch, and they were very good friends, though they were also rivals.

But they are good friends in private. However, since becoming mentors, Sun Dahai and Officer Wu have been at odds, both vying for the position of deputy captain of the criminal investigation team.

Therefore, the competition between the two fell to Du Feng and Sun Yue.

Sun Yue's mentor surpassed his own mentor in every aspect. In the end, Sun Dahai used some means to become the deputy captain of the criminal police team.

He also transferred all the threats in the police force from their original positions, which made Sun Yue hate him. From then on, they became irreconcilable enemies. Under Sun Dahai's guidance, he slowly strayed from his original self.

Hearing that Sun Yue had taken the initiative to reconcile with him today, Du Feng felt relieved.

It felt as if a weight had been lifted from my heart over the past few years.

Sun Yue was walking towards Sun Dahai's office when she glanced at where Du Feng was sitting. She caught a glimpse of Du Feng's profile and saw a slight smile on his face.

He felt a sense of relief, knowing that Du Feng had put aside his grudges, Wu Ge was doing well at work, and Sun Yue had also thought things through after a night and decided to let go of the matter.

Knock knock knock!

He then walked to the door of Sun Dahai's office, took a deep breath, and knocked on the door.

"Come in!"

After Sun Yue finished knocking on the door, an annoyed voice came from inside the office.

Sun Yue, standing at the door, let out a long sigh, then opened the door and went inside.

"Captain, Du Feng just said you were looking for me?"

Sun Yue, who had just entered, pretended not to know anything and said to Sun Dahai with a smile.

"Have you forgotten what I told you? Why was your phone off last night?!"

Sun Dahai was already angry when he saw Sun Yue pretending to be stupid, but seeing Sun Yue only made him angrier. He angrily asked Sun Yue a question.

"Explanation? Huh! You mean you want me to find Angkor Wat, right?"

Seeing that Sun Dahai was angry, Sun Yue pretended to recall for a moment, and after thinking for a long time, asked Sun Dahai.

"That's right! How's it going with Lao Wu?"

Seeing Sun Yue's irritating expression, Sun Dahai suppressed his anger.

For the sake of the bigger picture, he had no choice but to hold back and asked Sun Yue with a stern face.

"Is there any need to ask? He won't help with anything that doesn't comply with the rules. Even if I, his apprentice, went, it wouldn't have mattered. He even kicked me out."

Sun Yue shrugged and said to Sun Dahai with a helpless expression.

"Then why did you turn off your phone last night?"

Actually, Sun Dahai had expected that Sun Yue would not be able to accomplish this task. Old Wu was the most stubborn person in the police force, and no one could make him violate his principles.

What Sun Dahai found most unbearable was that Sun Yue wouldn't answer his calls, and he angrily pressed her for an answer.

"My phone ran out of battery yesterday, so I didn't receive the call."

Knowing that Sun Dahai was going to talk about this, Sun Yue took out her phone, turned on the missed calls, and spoke to Sun Dahai.

"Fine, then why did your apprentice He Xiang also hang up on my phone?"

Seeing that Sun Yue had clearly turned off her phone on purpose, Sun Dahai was at a loss for what to do. He wanted to grind his teeth to pieces at Sun Yue's annoying look, and then asked her a question.

"I took He Xiang home early that day. As for why he didn't answer your call, you'll have to ask him. Maybe his family saw it and hung up on you?"

When Sun Dahai asked about He Xiang hanging up the phone again, He Xiang had already prepared his response and shook his head in reply to Sun Dahai.

"Alright, I see now. You're deliberately trying to go against me. There's a case that hasn't been handled yet. Go and take care of it."

Sun Dahai dared not ask He Xiang, lest he upset the other party.

He told the bureau chief that he had bullied her, but then he would have no way to defend himself and could only blame it all on Sun Yue. Sun Dahai did not believe that He Xiang had done it; it must have been Sun Yue.

Then he took two file folders out of the drawer, threw them on the table, and said to Sun Yue.

"Okay, I'll get on it right now."

Sun Yue was a little surprised that Sun Dahai hadn't punished her.

Knowing Sun Dahai's personality, he certainly wouldn't let it go so easily. He picked up the documents on the table, nodded, and said...

"Wait a minute, Xiao He is almost proficient now, it's time to assign him a good place. Do you have any recommendations?"

Of course, Sun Dahai wouldn't let it go so easily. He stopped Sun Yue from leaving and then asked her with a smile.

"I think she needs more training. Isn't it a bit too hasty to assign her to a lower-level position so quickly?"

Sun Yue had already anticipated this when she heard that Sun Dahai wanted to transfer He Xiang.
