Just as the two were talking, someone at the door overheard their entire conversation.
After listening, I left in a hurry.
"Sun Yue, if anything happens to me, I'll leave the plants in this office to you."
The two people in the office were completely unaware that someone was eavesdropping outside. Old Wu walked to the windowsill, looked at the potted plants he was growing, and entrusted them to Sun Yue while watering them with a watering can.
"Master, what could have happened to you?"
Sun Yue understood the meaning behind Lao Wu's words: he was telling her what was going to happen after he passed away. Sun Yue stood up and spoke to him.
"Alright, in our line of work, who can guarantee what will happen in the future? I'm entrusting this flower to you."
Seeing Sun Yue's puzzled look, Old Wu waved his hand and said to her.
"Don't you know what kind of person I am? I can't take care of these flowers and plants at all. I'll give them all to people who like growing flowers."
Looking at the flowers and plants her master had planted, Sun Yue felt it was all pointless and then said to Lao Wu.
"You brat! You're in charge of taking care of this flower. When you're feeling really confused, seeing this will help you clear your head."
Upon hearing Sun Yue's words that she didn't want to support him, Old Wu kicked Sun Yue in the buttocks and said angrily to her.
"Okay, I got it. Oh dear! I have to go back and have dinner with my daughter He Xiang. I'll come back to see your master when I have time."
Seeing that his master was angry, Sun Yue reluctantly agreed, but then suddenly remembered something and slapped his forehead.
After saying something to Lao Wu, he hurriedly opened the door and ran out.
I thought you wouldn't come back.
When Sun Yue rushed back, He Xiang was sitting there with his arms crossed. When He Xiang saw Sun Yue return, he turned his head away and said in an angry tone.
"I'm back now, aren't I? I just went to my master's place and we chatted for so long that I lost track of time. Here, eat while it's hot."
Seeing that He Xiang was angry, Sun Yue sat down in her seat, opened the takeout box and said to He Xiang.
Snore!
"I'll let you off this time."
He Xiang's stomach started rumbling. Seeing that Sun Yue had ordered all his favorite dishes, he swallowed hard, picked up his chopsticks, and said to Sun Yue.
“Brother Wu, the person you asked me to take care of says he wants to see you now.”
The guard who should really be watching Lu Yi dialed Old Wu's number and said to him.
Did he say what it was about?
Hearing that Lu Yi wanted to see her, and seeing that it was already past the end of the workday, and that she had made plans to go home for dinner earlier that day, she didn't want to waste too much time, so she asked the person on the phone.
"He wouldn't tell me; he'd only talk about the war if you came."
The guards didn't know what Lu Yi was up to. He had been perfectly fine all day, but suddenly he wanted to find Lao Wu. If Lao Wu hadn't specifically instructed them, they wouldn't have wanted to lock Lu Yi up at all.
"Okay, I'll just go over there for a while."
Hearing Lu Yi only talking to him made Lao Wu feel that something was wrong.
When I left, Lu Yi's emotions were perfectly stable!
It doesn't seem like they want to leave at all. The fact that they're suddenly contacting me means they must have something to say.
After hanging up the phone, he hurriedly grabbed his things and left the office, planning to go straight home after visiting the detention room.
"Alright, just behave yourself. Officer Wu will be here soon."
After finishing his call, the guard put down the phone and walked to the door, looking at Lu Yi who was peering out the window.
Thank you!
After listening, Lu Yi still looked anxiously in the direction they had come in.
"Alright, I'd better leave when the section chief comes over. If he sees us chatting here, we'll get a good scolding."
The person standing with the guard heard that Section Chief Wu would be coming soon, so he quickly told the guard watching over him and hurriedly left.
"What do you want from me?"
Two minutes later, Old Wu walked in, came to Lu Yi's door, and asked Lu Yi inside.
"I."
Lu Yi glanced at the guards still standing next to A Zi and gave Lao Wu a look.
"You can go out now."
Following Lu Yi's gaze, Old Wu looked at the guard beside him and understood what Lu Yi wanted to do. He then gave the order to the guard standing next to him.
"Yes, Section Chief. Please feel free to call me anytime if you need anything."
The guard glanced at Lu Yi, then smiled and said something to Lao Wu before leaving the detention room, closing the door from the outside as he went.
"Now you can speak, right?"
Seeing that the person had been sent away, Old Wu looked at Lu Yi in front of him and asked.
"Officer Wu, I have an urgent matter to attend to and need to go to the hospital immediately."
Seeing that no one was around, Lu Yi anxiously grabbed Old Wu's hand and said...
"Are you feeling unwell? I'll go call a doctor for you right away."
Old Wu looked down at Lu Yi, who was holding his hand, and said that he needed to go to the hospital urgently. He had noticed that Lu Yi's condition was not right and thought he was sick, so he was going to go out to find a doctor.
"No, no, it's because my brother Lu Fan seems to have had an accident at the hospital, and I have to go see him right now!"
Seeing that Lao Wu was about to go and fetch a doctor, Lu Yi pulled Lao Wu back and, after thinking for a moment, explained his reasons to him.
"You mean your brother had an accident, and the Dongfang Group did something to him?"
Upon hearing that Lu Yi was so excited because of Lu Fan, Old Wu voiced his question to him.
