Chapter 1174 Something's happened!

“I was just looking for you. Arrest all those people above me and send them to the interrogation department.”

Seeing Liu Zheng enter the office, Sun Dahai handed Liu Zheng the statement that Sun Yue had brought from the table, and then gave him a few instructions.

"Should we interrogate these people first?"

Liu Zheng looked at the name on the paper, then whispered to Sun Dahai, "What do you mean?"

"No need. These people have all been sent to the interrogation department. They got the information from them. There's no need for us to do anything unnecessary."

Sun Dahai was preoccupied with the phone call he had just received, wondering whether he should complete the task given to him by Master Qu. Hearing Liu Zhen still bothering him, he waved his hand and said to Liu Zheng.

Sun Yue entrusted the task to them this time to see how they would handle it, and he didn't care about the small fry Sun Dahai at all.

"Okay, I'll take some people to do it right now!"

Seeing Sun Dahai's distressed expression, Liu Zheng didn't say anything more, then took his things and left the office.

After Liu Zheng left, Sun Dahai opened the drawer on his left, slowly took out a glass bottle, and looked at the poison in his hand, not knowing what to do for a moment.

The poison was given to me by Master Qu, who said it was extremely toxic and that just one drop could kill someone. However, it had been sitting in my drawer for a long time, and I never expected it to come in handy today. Knowing that there was no turning back, I put the bottle in my coat pocket and left the office.

"Brother Du, isn't everyone off work already? Didn't you say you were going home today?"

The interrogation department had staff on duty. Seeing Du Wanzhe still sitting at his workstation, they remembered that Du Wanzhe had been staying at the police station and asked him a question with suspicion.

"The section chief said he had some things to do and went out. I can leave after he comes back."

Thinking that he could go home soon, Du Wanzhe couldn't stop smiling and said to the police officer on duty.

Sun Dahai, pretending to pass by the interrogation room, overheard that Sun Yue wasn't at the police station. Knowing this was his chance, he smiled, checked the time (it was lunchtime), and took out his phone to dial a number.

"I'll send you a number in a bit and tell him that something happened at home and he needs to go to the hospital right away."

After giving instructions to Sun Dahai on the other end of the phone, he left the interrogation room.

What kind of cuisine is served today?

"I don't know, it's just so-so, nothing special, just something to eat."

The officers on duty began chatting idly at their workstations, as usual.

"Hey, you guys, don't forget to bring food to the prisoners!"

Du Wanzhe, who was sitting to the side reviewing the statements, heard them talking about eating and then reminded the officers on duty.

"Don't worry, we must not let her go hungry, otherwise how will we get any useful information out of her?"

The officers below knew what to do without Du Wanzhe's prompting.

"Hello, who is this?"

Then Du Wanzhe received a call from an unfamiliar number. After thinking for a moment, he answered it and asked the person on the other end of the line.

"This is Tongren Hospital. Your wife has been in a car accident and a family member needs to come to the hospital immediately. Please come right away!"

The person on the other end of the phone spoke anxiously to Du Wanzhe, while the surrounding area was filled with busy sounds.

"Okay, I'll be right there!"

Upon hearing that his wife had an accident, he quickly stood up, put on his coat, and rushed outside.

"Brother Du, what happened?"

The officers on duty were startled by Du Wanzhe's appearance; they had never seen him like this before. They all stood up and asked him questions.

“Something happened at my home. You guys keep an eye on her and don’t let anyone get close to Zhang Xinlei. When the section chief comes back, tell him I went to the hospital.”

As Du Wanzhe reached the door, he heard the officer on duty's words, stopped, turned around, and gave the group several more instructions before driving away from the police station.

"Everyone keep an eye on things and don't let anyone get close to the interrogation room."

The people on duty also became more vigilant and all moved closer to the interrogation room.

"What's going on? What time is it? Why hasn't the food arrived yet?"

Their meals were ordered from outside and usually delivered directly to the police station. They would call the police after the food arrived and the police would come out to pick it up. Seeing that more than ten minutes had passed, someone asked impatiently.

"I don't know, I'll call and ask now."

The person in charge of taking orders also found it strange, and then took out his phone and said...

"He said he wouldn't let it in, so he left it at the door. I'm going to the door to get it now."

After the conversation, I learned that the food was placed at the door and delivered by a newcomer. I stood up and addressed everyone.

After he finished speaking, he walked outside, and everyone else's stomachs were rumbling.

The food was quickly brought back, and everyone gathered around, ready to take their share.

"Why is this one different from ours?"

One of them looked at the four identical dishes, except for one that was different, and asked in confusion.

"The prisoner in this interrogation room is particularly picky and difficult to please. The reason she confessed was because she wanted to eat better. Brother Du and the section chief have already given her too much, so don't be envious."

The person in charge of taking orders knew what he was thinking, and then explained the whole story to everyone.
