Jiang Manyue frowned, looked up and pondered, "Nonsense, the strange thing is that you made up a story about how I fought with you and how I caught you cheating and had a tantrum, making it seem like there was a cause and effect."
"That mistress, unfortunately, didn't reveal any useful information, but everyone says she's a great beauty."

Lu Fan knew that Jiang Manyue genuinely didn't take it to heart. They had been dating for so many years and had two children together; they knew each other's character very well.

However, no one felt that Lu Fan was being overconfident, trying to "gild his own lily" like that.
As someone who had been in close contact with Gu Ying, Jiang Manyue knew how bizarre Gu Ying's thought process was, and how selfish and self-serving her actions were.
Otherwise, there's no way to explain why the rumors about her and Lu Fan are so detailed and convincing, yet the woman's identity is always kept out of the question. This in itself raises enough questions.
The couple were talking when suddenly a commotion broke out in the crowd ahead.
It's not entirely accurate to call them a crowd.
Lu Fan and Jiang Manyue both turned their gazes in that direction: "What's going on?"
"I don't know, it seems the head of the Wang family has something to say."
Lu Fan was tall and immediately spotted the center of the crowd, where the head of the Wang family was smiling and gesturing for everyone to quiet down.
"I am very grateful to everyone for taking the time to attend this banquet tonight, in celebration of my eldest grandson."
A waiter handed a microphone to the old patriarch of the Wang family.
Some people below, who were likely from the Wang family's businesses, fawned over the former patriarch on the stage.
"You're too kind. It's our honor to be able to attend the banquet at the Wang family's house."
"Absolutely! It's a rare opportunity to have everyone get together!"
With the support of the Wang family, their relatives and friends won't suffer any setbacks.
Looking at this scene of people in all walks of life, Lu Fan couldn't help but let out a low sneer.
Jiang Manyue glanced at him and couldn't help but ask:
"What's wrong? Did you think of something fun?"
Lu Fan couldn't help but lean close to her ear:
