Once Lu Fan has made up his mind to do something, no one can stop him.
All she hopes now is that she and her son can calm down and have a proper talk.
It's a small matter if she suffers a little grievance, but if it sows discord between mother and son, that would be a big deal.
Soon, Lu Fan arrived at Wu Hui's room. After calming himself down, he saw that the door was not closed tightly, so he knocked and went in.
As soon as I entered, I saw Wu Hui leaning against the bed, looking worried.
Wu Hui managed a forced smile only after Lu Fan entered.
"Son, what brings you here?"
Seeing his mother's reaction, Lu Fan didn't rush to explain his purpose.
Instead, he sat down on Wu Hui's bedside.
"Mom, what's wrong? You just called Yueyue over to talk, and she went back to rest as soon as she got home."
Wu Hui immediately perked up upon hearing Jiang Manyue's name:
"What do you mean by that? I didn't give Yueyue a hard time. Why did she complain to you?"
When Lu Fan heard Wu Hui say that, he realized that the situation was not good.
"Look at what you're saying, how could Yueyue be that kind of person? The way she used to complain this time is quite illogical."
"How is it illogical? What I said makes perfect sense. Don't be fooled by what Yueyue says; she may not actually think the same way."
I apologized to her today, so don't think you can boss me around.
Wu Hui was also furious, and her words naturally became sharp.
The thought of Jiang Manyue criticizing her like that makes her feel suffocated.
How can a daughter-in-law be considered filial if she treats her mother-in-law like this? She can't even do the most basic things.
"Mom, that's a bit unreasonable of you. I mentioned opening a coffee shop to you before. Now you're saying you didn't know anything about it. Aren't you deliberately making things difficult for me?"
Seeing her son rummaging through things like this, Wu Hui was also displeased.
"Although I mentioned it before, did you discuss it with me afterwards? Did Yueyue discuss it with me?"
"You two don't take this seriously at all. You don't respect your father and me at all."
Seeing that Wu Hui was also getting emotional, Lu Fan quickly began to comfort her.
"Okay, Mom, it's my fault. Don't blame Yueyue. Besides, your attitude towards her was indeed a bit bad. Everyone can see that clearly."
"I don't mean to blame you, but it's just too unfair to Yueyue."
Upon hearing this, Wu Hui immediately felt unwell.
It turns out that his own son is now completely devoted to his wife.
She completely disregards her mother.
"Since you listen to your wife so much, then you don't need to care about your mother anymore."
"Mom, how could I possibly ignore you? I'm just giving you this suggestion, and I hope you can listen to it. Yueyue is your daughter-in-law after all, and she's carrying the Lu family's child."
"If you're not good to her, who are you good to? Why are you acting like the two of you are enemies?"
These words sounded reasonable, and Wu Hui's anger subsided a little.
In fact, her ultimate goal was to get a stance.
As long as you have the right attitude, anything is negotiable.
"Yueyue is carrying my grandson, and of course I'm happy, but she keeps going against me. What kind of situation is this?"
I didn't intentionally want to cause any conflict with her. After all, I'm a mother myself.
Seeing that his words seemed to have some effect, Lu Fan continued speaking.
“I knew my mom wasn’t such an unreasonable person, since you’ve already said so.”
"You know that Yueyue's body can't take it now. If you keep making her angry, she might die. Then where will you go to complain?"
Wu Hui said:
"You brat, you're such a jinx! The baby in Yueyue's belly will be fine. Look how bold you've gotten, daring to bring up your son now."
"Alright, since you've brought it up, I'll tone it down a bit. I'll treat Yueyue well, but you shouldn't put pressure on your mother either."
Wu Hui also noticed Lu Fan's predicament.
Thinking that she shouldn't continue to act so recklessly, she realized that she wouldn't gain anything from it and would only cause herself more trouble.
"Mom, look, you understand now, don't you? I've explained everything to you, and you feel much better now."
Lu Fan was very happy to see that his mother had come to terms with it.
I thought to myself that I had finally convinced them.
"As long as you behave and don't cause me any trouble, everything will be fine. Yueyue sent you to tell me these things, right?"
Seeing that his scheme was about to be exposed, Lu Fan immediately began to defend himself.
"I only came to you because I couldn't stand it anymore. Yueyue wasn't involved at all. He even said it was all his fault and had nothing to do with you."
Upon hearing this, Wu Hui realized she shouldn't continue to hold a grudge.
Let's just consider it as giving face to Jiang Manyue's unborn grandson.
"I'm not going to hold it against you now, whether you say it or she says it. But I want to tell your son that if something like this happens again, I will never back down."
Upon hearing Wu Hui's compromise, Lu Fan finally felt a huge weight lifted from his heart.
This day was even more tiring than running a company.
"Don't worry. Mom will never let this happen again. I'll also talk to Yueyue and teach her to be more sensible so she can help you out."
Wu Hui didn't dare to hope for such things; she just hoped that she wouldn't always look like a wronged little wife.
