"Damn it! That bastard."
When Xu Song hung up the phone, Xu Bing threw his phone to the ground.
Xu Song's words were a great humiliation to him.
It even made him feel very uncomfortable.
How could I be mocked by that good-for-nothing!
However, Xu Bing didn't want to think too much about it now, because he was about to be arrested.
How could I possibly have the energy to think about so many things?
He's a normal person too; he gets scared too.
"What should we do? Is there any way?"
Xu Bing muttered something.
It's clear that the supervisory bureau has come to arrest me, which means the evidence is conclusive.
I'm currently still in China, and unless I have a private jet, there's no way I can escape.
However, at the current pace, finding a private jet is definitely impossible.
"I should have realized it sooner!"
Xu Bing slammed his fist on the table, his face full of regret.
When she realized that the assassin in black hadn't returned and hadn't called her, she should have guessed that something bad was going to happen.
However, Xu Bing didn't think too much about it at the time and chose to believe the assassin in black, which led to the current situation.
Even if he regrets it now, there's nothing he can do about it.
"Hoo~" Xu Bing lit a cigarette, his expression somewhat solemn.
It seems that now... all we can do is sit here and wait.
Since we can't change our fate, we might as well accept it.
Now you might consider hiring a good lawyer; perhaps there's still a glimmer of hope.
Just as Xu Bing was thinking, the door was suddenly kicked open.
And then a voice said, "Xu Bing, you have been arrested. Surrender now."
"Um."
Xu Bing nodded and slowly walked towards the people from the Supervision Bureau.
And silently extended his hands to put on the handcuffs.
The entire process was extremely calm, even excessively so, which surprised the inspectors.
Someone who didn't know better would think they were going home.
Does the new police station have absolutely no reaction?
This shouldn't be happening...
I've arrested countless criminals before, but it seems like very few could remain this calm.
——
In the interrogation room.
Xu Bing was led inside and sat down, where the inspector prepared to interrogate him.
"Do you know why you were arrested?" the inspector asked coldly.
Xu Bing shook his head: "I don't know."
"Oh ho, it's come to this point, and you're still trying to play dumb with me? You should understand the principle of 'confess and be treated leniently, resist and be punished severely,' right?"
"I understand, but I really don't know what you're talking about?"
Xu Bing shook his head, looking completely innocent.
He was prepared to maintain the facade until the lawyer arrived, and he wouldn't say a word more than necessary to avoid making a mistake.
If we hire a top-notch lawyer to help him handle these matters, we should be able to minimize the damage.
Otherwise, it wouldn't be as serious as it is now.
In fact, Xu Bing wasn't that scared, because he hadn't actually committed any murder.
The matter of hiring an assassin was never carried out.
So there is still hope...
"You mean... the assassin who killed Xu Song wasn't hired by you? Interesting."
The inspector smiled faintly and said with a slight smirk.
This is the first time I've seen someone so stubborn. The assassin has already confessed?
The employer still won't admit it, and I don't know why this situation exists.
Do you still think there's no chance of things turning around?
Isn't this just wishful thinking?
The charges against him will be settled quickly; there's absolutely no way he can escape now.
The inspectors couldn't understand why this guy was so stubborn, but if he just wouldn't talk, there was nothing they could do about it.
However, once the charges are established, he will be sentenced even if he doesn't speak up.
"Xu Song is my brother, why would I hire an assassin to kill him?"
"We've had our share of grievances, but forget it, I don't want to explain too much."
"Let's talk about everything after my lawyer arrives."
Xu Bing gave a brief reply.
After all, this is the supervisory bureau, and it's not acceptable to remain silent.
Then they'll accuse themselves of being uncooperative.
Wouldn't that be the end of us? We've already come this far, we might as well just be honest...
"Very good, that makes sense. You already knew these things wouldn't come back, right?"
The inspector knew that Xu Bing wouldn't say anything, but they still needed to go through the process, since interrogation was a necessary step.
Even if you know the other person is talking nonsense, you still have to write it down carefully.
The inspectors have pointed out this as unreasonable many times, but there's nothing they can do about it...
We still have to listen to our superiors; obeying orders is the most important thing.
"Okay, so what do you have to say about the fact that Xu Song and the assassin both identified you?"
The inspector continued.
After a brief moment of thought, Xu Bing spoke directly: "We can't just convict me based on their two statements. What if they're in cahoots to frame me?"
“There are many doubts about this matter before a full conviction is reached, so you can’t judge my guilt based on this alone. What if I’m a victim?”
Xu Bing is currently gambling that the supervisory bureau has not yet obtained any evidence.
Because being an assassin means you have to delete all related records.
