Chapter 371 Chen's entanglement

Chapter 371 Chen's entanglement

But how could two little kids be as fast as an adult?

Not to mention that Guihua was carrying something on her back?

Guihua felt her back sink and the bag on her back was grabbed by someone. She was almost thrown to the ground because of the other person's strong pulling. Finally, because she could not hold on any longer, Guihua had to give up the bag on her back and prepared to run with Xiao Fubao.

But Chen seemed to have predicted Guihua's thoughts. The moment Guihua put down the bag, she reached out and grabbed the back of her collar. Guihua was running forward and was suddenly grabbed by the back of her collar. Her breathing tightened and she almost couldn't breathe, so she quickly stopped.

"You stupid girl, why did you run away when I called you? Am I a wolf or a tiger? Can I eat you?"

Chen's panting could be heard from behind. Guihua's face darkened slightly, and she said with a dark face, "Let go. If you have something to say, just say it. You are such an adult, and you are still touching me. If you don't let go, I will call for help."

Guihua was also annoyed and yelled loudly. Sure enough, Chen behind her looked around nervously. Seeing that there were only children on the drying yard and no adults, she secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

"What are you yelling for, you damn girl? I'm letting go, don't run, or I won't let go."

Guihua nodded unhappily, and Chen let go. Guihua then turned around, pulling Xiao Fubao.

"Are you Sister Guihua's stepmother? Why do you have the word thief on your face? Are you a thief?"

There was doubt in little Fubao's clear eyes, and he tilted his head to look at Chen's forehead.

Chen quickly tidied up her bangs that were blown by the wind to cover the tattoo on her forehead. Her face turned red and she glared at Xiao Fubao angrily. Guihua immediately pulled Xiao Fubao behind her like a hen protecting her chicks.

"Why are you glaring at me? If you have something to say, just say it. If not, I'm busy and don't have time to talk nonsense with you." Guihua stared at Chen with cold eyes. If she was not young and could not beat her, she would not be willing to waste time talking to Chen.

Chen felt a little angry when she saw Guihua's cold attitude towards her.

"Guihua, no matter what, I am still your mother. Even if I didn't give birth to you, I still raised you. If it weren't for me, would you have grown up like this? If I hadn't sold you to the Wan family, would you be where you are today?"

Chen looked at the clothes Guihua was wearing. There was not a single patch on them and the fabric was made of fine cotton. The one set of clothes she was wearing could buy her two sets of clothes.

Chen's words sounded a bit sour.

Guihua was so angry at Chen's words that she laughed, "Why, I should thank you for selling me out? Why are you so shameless? Even a spear can't pierce you, right? Why don't I send you to the battlefield? You are more useful than a shield. When the enemy's spear pierces you, you can still move yourself."

Chen was scolded by Guihua, and her face was blue and red. She wanted to hit Guihua, but she endured it when she thought that she still had something to ask her for help.

"Guihua, no matter what, you are here today because of me, otherwise you won't be able to eat eight dishes in your next life."

"Do you have any shame? I am where I am today because of the Wan family. It is the Wan family that gave me the good life I have now. What does it have to do with you? If you have nothing else to do, don't bother me."

Guihua was too lazy to argue with Chen anymore, so she bent down to pick up the bag on the ground and leave, but was quickly held down by Chen.

"Guihua, I have something to ask you. Can you please listen to me before you leave?"

When Chen saw Guihua was about to run away, she quickly told him her purpose.

Guihua's hand paused for a moment, and she looked at Chen with a half-smile on her face, then scanned Chen's body before standing up straight.

"Oh, you still need to beg me for help? Tell me, what's the matter? If you want to work in my uncle's workshop, don't ask. I can't make the decision, and I won't plead for you. You can give up on this idea."

Chen's face turned pale and she said angrily in her heart: This damn girl, how does she know what I am thinking?

But Chen was not giving up. With a flattering smile on her face, she tried to reach out and pull the corner of Guihua's clothes. Guihua quickly took a step back and said coldly, "Just talk, don't pull me. I don't want to have any contact with you. We are not related by blood. After you sold me, we have no relationship anymore. You'd better speak nicely."

There was a hint of indifference in Guihua's eyes, and she didn't want to pay any attention to Chen at all, but she couldn't leave, and she felt held back in her heart.

Chen stretched out her hand but found it empty, so she withdrew her hand awkwardly, thought for a moment, and began to cry.

"Osmanthus..."

But just as Chen started to howl, Guihua angrily shouted, "Shut up and speak properly. I still want to live two more years. Don't cry for me."

Chen's voice got stuck in her throat and she looked at Guihua blankly, not knowing whether to speak up or down, and was scolded by Guihua.

Chen sobbed and said, "Guihua, you sent your father to prison. We mothers have a hard time. I have just recovered from my injuries, but our family is on the verge of starvation. The big money your father earned is long gone. If I don't find a way to make a living, we will all starve to death. It doesn't matter if I die, but your brothers and sisters are still young. Can you bear to watch them starve?"

Guihua glanced at Chen, "First of all, let me correct you. I didn't send my father to jail. You are slandering my reputation by saying this. If he hadn't been dishonest and had bad intentions, how could he have been put in jail? There are so many people in the village, why don't others have their eyes on my uncle's family? Are you the only ones who have evil intentions? Aren't you thinking that I can go along with you? In the end, your wishful thinking failed, so you throw a bucket of dirty water on me. What? You two have taken all the good things?"

Guihua has never lost an argument. She has clear ideas and is eloquent, leaving Chen speechless.

"Guihua, mother was wrong and deserves to be beaten. Please help us and tell your master to let me work in the workshop. You can't force me to death, right? I am in this state now. Even if I go to the city to work, they won't want me and drive me out. I thought about it and came to you for help. Your brother and sister haven't eaten for two days. Please be kind and find a way for us to live. I was wrong before. I shouldn't have been so mean to you, but your brother and sister are your blood relatives after all. They are all innocent."

"Huh, you know you're wrong now? If you're wrong, you have to bear the consequences. I remember your family still has a few acres of land. Other families know how to grow potatoes and sell them, so why don't you grow any? My dad is working outside, and you've left the fields uncultivated and overgrown with weeds. The weeds are taller than people, and you don't even know how to clean them up. You deserve to starve to death. You help in emergencies but not in poverty. Now the whole village has become rich, and you don't make progress. I don't think there's much point in living. Don't bother me in the future."

After saying this, Guihua decisively picked up the bag and left.

How could Chen let go of such a good opportunity? She rarely saw Guihua alone on weekdays, and she finally caught her today, so she would not let her go so easily.
