Chapter 372 Guihua prepares to buy steamed buns to help her younger brother and sister
Chen was about to stop Guihua when she suddenly felt a pain in her leg. She looked down and saw Xiao Fubao biting her thigh.
"Ah! You little girl, are you born in the year of the dog?" Chen screamed when she was bitten by little Fubao. She quickly let go of Guihua's bag and reached out to grab Fubao's hair.
Chen grabbed Fubao's finger directly. Fubao's scalp was numb with pain, but he refused to let go and bit even harder.
Chen was so angry that he used even more force.
"What are you doing? Not only do you bully me, but you also bully a little kid. Are you still a human being?" Guihua went up to pull Chen, trying to separate the two.
"Fubao, let go quickly, she is dirty." Guihua pried Chen's hands apart and tried to pull little Fubao.
Little Fubao finally let go and was quickly pulled behind Guihua. However, the little tuft of hair on her head was pulled loose by Chen again, and one side of her hair was loose, making her look like she had just had a fight.
Guihua quickly bent down, "Fubao, hurry up and spit it out. How many days has she not changed her clothes? She hasn't taken a bath? How could you bite her?"
Little Fubao still looked unconvinced. She was unhappy that she didn't beat Chen today, but what Sister Guihua said was right, so she quickly spat on the ground a few times.
Guihua no longer entangled with Chen and left with her bag.
"If you dare to follow me again, I will call people and tell them that you want to steal the child. If you also want to go to jail, I will grant your wish."
Chen was so frightened that she stopped her foot abruptly. She thought of her children, who would all die without her.
Chen was extremely anxious. She watched Guihua disappear in the drying yard, but she was helpless. She squatted down and cried. She regretted that she shouldn't have instigated the head of the family to steal things from the Wan family. But where in the world can you regret? She was just reaping the fruits of her own actions.
Little Fubao walked all the way home, looking up at Guihua's face. Seeing that she looked not very well, little Fubao asked carefully: "Sister Guihua, do you really not care about your brothers and sisters? Your stepmother is quite pitiful. How about we secretly send them some food? Fubao is also a child. Fubao knows that being a child is the most difficult. You have to listen to adults in everything. Moreover, adults have to sell children when they have no food. The children are so pitiful."
Fubao's words slowed Guihua's pace. She put down the bag on her back and said, "Fubao, I don't intend to ignore my brothers and sisters. They are innocent after all. They just got reincarnated in the wrong body and crawled out of Chen's belly. I can't watch them starve to death. But I can't let Chen know that I'm easy to bully. Otherwise, she will come to me every now and then for food. I'm not doing a good deed, but indulging her laziness. She thinks that if she can rely on me, she will be like before."
Little Fubao seemed to understand, but she knew one thing very well, that is, Guihua would not let her younger brothers and sisters starve to death. Little Fubao ran back happily.
"Sister Guihua, let's go back and get some food. I know where the snacks are at home. Let's take them to share with your brothers and sisters, shall we?"
Guihua quickly caught up with Xiao Fubao and said seriously, "Fubao, no, those snacks were bought by your father for you. They are not cheap. I don't have that much money to pay. I want to use the money to buy some food with grandma and secretly give it to them. After all, your family bought me, not my family. Can you promise me that you won't talk about this when you go back?"
Xiao Fubao doesn’t care, as long as no one starves to death, anything is fine.
"Okay, I'll listen to you. Let's go back quickly, shall we?"
Guihua nodded, and the two returned to the Wan family hand in hand.
But there was no one at home, so Guihua finished her work, washed her hands, and went back into the house.
She was in the Wan family, and Wan Er would give her wages every month, but it was always a small part. The bulk of the money was saved by Wan Er's wife. When Guihua grew up, it would all be given to her as a dowry. However, Guihua didn't know about this, and Wan Er's wife didn't tell her. Otherwise, based on Guihua's personality, she would definitely work harder. Wan Er's wife didn't want to put so much pressure on her child.
Guihua took out a money box from her kang cabinet, which she had begged Wan Laoer to make for her.
Although it was a bit rough, Guihua liked it very much. She opened the money box, which was filled with copper coins, heavy and numbering several thousand.
Guihua took out twenty copper coins from the box. She remembered that steamed buns in the town cost one copper coin each. She planned to give twenty copper coins to Old Lady Wan so that she could buy a few steamed buns every day and secretly give them to her younger brothers and sisters. As for Chen, she didn't want to care about her at all.
After making up her mind, Guihua put the money box away and went to find Old Lady Wan.
Old Mrs. Wan had just returned and was asking little Fubao where he had gone to play. Little Fubao did not hide anything and told her about Chen's incident in vivid detail.
After hearing this, Old Lady Wan's face darkened. This Chen was really haunting her.
"Grandma, can I ask you a favor?" Guihua stood at the door and looked inside, asking with some uneasiness in her voice. She was not sure whether Grandma Wan would agree to her doing this. After all, Chen had made enemies with the Wan family.
"Guihua, come in, grandma has something to ask you."
Old Mrs. Wan waved towards the door and asked Guihua to come in and talk.
Guihua clutched the corner of her clothes and walked in with small steps. There was some uneasiness on her face, which was completely different from her usual cheerful self.
"Grandma, what's the matter?" Guihua stood under the kang, with her head lowered and her lips pursed, not daring to look up at Grandma Wan.
"Guihua, Fubao told me about what happened to Chen just now. You did the right thing. We must not let such people into our workshop. But your brothers and sisters are innocent. For your sake, we will send some food to help them through this period. If Chen still doesn't repent, we can't save them forever. Don't you think so?"
Guihua looked up at Grandma Wan in surprise, tears in her eyes, "Grandma, aren't you angry? Chen did something wrong to our family, and you are still willing to save Chen's child?"
"Silly child, Chen is Chen, her child is still so young, innocent, if you guide him well, he will be fine in the future. After all, you, as a sister, are not bad, how bad can they be? What's the saying? I always hear Wan Wen and others recite what they call people, what kind of good?"
"Grandma, that's what they mean, 'Man is born good.'" Little Fubao quickly replied.
"Yes, yes, yes. Humans are inherently good. They are still young, but have been led astray by Chen. Teach them well in the future. They will definitely help you. Life is difficult for women in this world, and having a mother's family always gives you a backer."
Guihua was so moved that she rushed over and hugged Grandma Wan, "Grandma, thank you, you are so kind, Grandma, good people will be rewarded, and you will definitely live a long life."
Little Fubao also ran over and hugged Old Lady Wan's neck, and the two girls made Old Lady Wan laugh.
"Okay, I'll ask your fourth aunt to steam some more buns for lunch, and you can secretly send some over. Don't let Chen find out."
"Grandma, I have to pay. Although I don't have much money, I can still afford the steamed buns. If you don't want money, I will go to the town to buy them, or go to someone else's house to buy them." Guihua was very stubborn and put the twenty copper coins in her hand on the kang.
Old Mrs. Wan accepted it with a smile and decided to return it after paying Guihua more wages next month. She didn't think much of it.
