Chapter 77 Playing Tricks on Wang Dazhu
In the quiet village, only the occasional whistling of the north wind could be heard. A crescent moon hung in the sky, and the entire Shizi Village fell into deep sleep under the silvery moonlight.
There were bursts of snoring and soft mumbling sounds coming from the Wan family's house.
Three figures holding fire sticks crept towards the Wan family's thatched cottage.
"Brother, mother asked us to find a room, how can we do this? We can't even enter the yard."
"You idiot, can this yard stop your brother? Just wait."
Wang Dazhu patted Wang Sizhu on the head and kicked him on the leg before walking to the gate of Grandma Wan's house.
He pulled a machete from his back, walked to the fence, and started chopping hard at the bottom of the fence.
After each chop, Wang Dazhu stopped and pricked up his ears to listen. When he found that the snoring in the room was not disturbed at all, he felt relieved and continued to chop.
When he was slashing for the third time, he suddenly felt a chill on his neck. He thought it was snowing and couldn't help but look up.
But he found that there was still the crescent moon in the sky and no snowflakes were falling. He was startled and looked down at his neck.
He saw a sword flashing with cold light across his neck.
Wang Dazhu was almost frightened to death. His heart was pounding. The machete in his hand fell to the ground. He raised his hands nervously. His eyes were full of fear. The flesh on his face was tense. His whole body was stiff. He dared not move. He said in a trembling voice: "Sir, spare my life. I didn't do anything."
"Bark like a dog and let me hear it." A young man's voice came coldly from above his head.
A look of disbelief flashed across Wang Dazhu's face. He thought that this man must be teasing him. However, the sword on his neck exerted a little force and he was so scared that he couldn't help but start shouting "Woof woof...Woof woof..."
"Let me hear your cat's meow again." The man's emotionless voice sounded again.
Wang Dazhu was already sweating profusely. Who on earth was this person? Why did he have such a habit?
But Wang Dazhu didn't dare to delay and imitated the cat's meow a few more times: "Meow... Meow..."
"Learn to quack like a duck again. I want to listen to the mother duck quacking."
Wang Dazhu wanted to die. He really wanted to turn his head to see who the person behind him was and why he was playing such a trick on him. However, the sword was across his neck, making it difficult for him to resist. If he showed any sign of resistance, the opponent seemed to see through it immediately. The sword on his neck moved violently and he could already feel a trace of blood on his neck.
"Quack...quack...I am a mother duck, quack...quack..."
"Stand up."
When Wang Dazhu heard these words, he stood up immediately as if he had heard an order of pardon. He wanted to turn his head to look, but the other party's words froze him in place.
"Don't turn your head. If you turn your head, you will die."
Wang Dazhu immediately became like a pillar fixed in place, not daring to move.
He pricked up his ears to try to hear the movement behind him, but there was dead silence behind him. Wang Dazhu couldn't help but feel cold in his heart. His two brothers followed him, but now they couldn't hear any movement. Could it be...
Just as Wang Dazhu was daydreaming, the person behind him finally spoke again.
"Go back and get a rope. I'll only give you half an incense stick of time. If you can't get it within half an incense stick, you'll have to collect your brother's body."
Then Wang Dazhu heard a slight sound, and Wang Sizhu's voice sounded behind him: "Master, spare my life. I will go right away. Please don't harm my eldest brother's life."
After saying this, Wang Sizhu ran away crawling.
Soon Wang Sizhu brought a rope, but Widow Wang was still following him.
Widow Wang ran after him, asking Wang Sizhu: "Sizhu, why are you running? What are you holding the rope for? Where is your elder brother?"
Wang Sizhu didn't have time to answer, he just kept running forward.
Soon they arrived in front of Wang Dazhu.
"Sir, the rope is here, can you please let my brother go?" Wang Sizhu handed the rope to Wan Xingmo, trembling and gasping.
Wan Xingmo had been on guard against these people causing trouble at night since they withdrew at night. Sure enough, before he went to bed, he heard the noise coming from outside, and he came silently behind these people, first he used acupoints to freeze Wang Sizhu and Wang Sanzhu, and then he played tricks on Wang Dazhu.
Wan Xingmo took the rope and untied Wang Sanzhu's fists.
"You two can go now. This beast must stay and guard the gate until he catches the other thief. Otherwise, my sword will not recognize the beast and I will kill him directly."
Wang Sizhu and Wang Sanzhu were frightened by Wan Xingmo's words. In the evening, they had already experienced Wan Xingmo's power. This person was not someone they could afford to offend.
Widow Wang finally caught up with him, but she was dumbfounded by the situation.
I saw that Wang Dazhu had been tied to the fence post by Wan Xingmo, with a rope around his neck. He was squatting in front of the fence gate like a watchdog.
"Dazhu, what's wrong with you?" Widow Wang shouted and wanted to rush over and pull her son up.
Wan Xingmo flashed forward and swung his hand at her quickly. Widow Wang became silent instantly and fell limply to the ground.
Wang Sizhu and Wang Sanzhu didn't even dare to move. They watched Widow Wang fall to the ground, motionless, not daring to breathe.
Wan Xingmo glanced at Widow Wang who had finally calmed down, then glanced at Old Lady Wan's yard. Seeing that there was no sound coming from the yard, he breathed a sigh of relief. He was really afraid that the widow's loud voice would disturb other people's sweet dreams.
"Take this woman back. If you dare to rescue people privately, I will carry your entire family out to feed the wolves tomorrow night."
After saying this, Wan Xingmo turned around, took a few steps, and disappeared from everyone's sight.
Wang Sizhu rubbed his eyes and said to Wang Sanzhu in disbelief: "Brother San, did you see where that person went?"
Wang Sanzhu was so scared that he peed his pants. He quickly said, "Fourth brother, that man is too powerful. We are no match for him. Let's carry mom back quickly."
Wang Dazhu said sternly, "You two are so heartless, don't you care about me? If you let me stay out here all night, I will be a corpse tomorrow morning, and you will have no big brother."
Wang Sizhu looked at Wang Dazhu with some embarrassment and said, "Brother, it's not that we don't want to help you, it's just that that person is too powerful. What if he really throws our whole family out to feed the wolves tomorrow night? We don't have any descendants in the Wang family yet, but don't worry, I'll bring you a bed and mattress later, you can make do with it for one night, and we'll try to find someone to replace you tomorrow."
After Wang Sizhu finished speaking, he and Wang Sanzhu carried Widow Wang and ran away quickly.
Wang Dazhu was shivering alone in the cold wind.
The next morning, Wan Ersao got up early to clean the yard, but she found a person squatting at the door. She was so scared that she screamed in the yard: "Ah! How come there is a person here!"
Wan Ersao's voice immediately woke up the Wan family members who were still sleeping on the kang. Thanks to the dry firewood that Lu Jingyu had people buy last night, they finally had a good sleep. No one woke up yet, and when they heard Wan Ersao's scream, the men of the Wan family were awakened and immediately climbed down from the kang with their clothes on.
