"Great frost, release some cold mist."
"Waaah!"
The scorching sun began to bake the earth, and even the Great Frost could not bear the heat. The sand beneath its feet became extremely hot, and upon hearing the Red Fox's voice, it immediately emitted a wisp of cold mist.
Having lived in the snowfield for more than twenty years, they never thought they would miss the cold so much. The cold mist was quickly dispelled by the warm wind.
Fortunately, the oasis forest that Fenghen had mentioned had appeared before them. It was much larger than the area where they had fetched water before, and the vegetation here was much denser.
More mechanical beasts can be seen nearby, mimicking living creatures as they graze on the grass or wander aimlessly.
Da Shuang ignored these guys and rushed towards the oasis as if the sand under her feet was burning hot.
In just three steps, we arrived at the oasis forest. Some creatures were drinking water by the lake in the forest, and they scattered immediately upon hearing the noise.
"Su Yuan, someone's here!"
Just as Da Shuang was about to plunge her head into the water, Chi Hu patted Su Yuan and pointed to the forest where several pairs of eyes were watching them.
Warcraft? Orcs? Or perhaps a divine race hiding here?
"come out!"
Su Yuan didn't have time to slowly guess. A fireball flew over the bushes, but was blocked by an ice spike.
"Hey! How can you be so rude? This isn't your territory, and you start attacking us as soon as you arrive!"
A dozen or so figures emerged from the bushes; they were all divinely bestowed beast girls, varying in size and strength, and they didn't seem to have established a tribe here.
Moreover, there doesn't seem to be any sign of construction here.
"This isn't your territory either. Do you want someone to watch you drink water?"
Su Yuan jumped down and looked at the group of people opposite him, asking them a question in return.
The leader was a beast girl with bronze skin, but her ribs and some fair skin could be seen through her clothes and chest. She had a pair of horns on her head, but one of them was broken off.
"You...who's going to watch you drink water? This place doesn't belong to anyone, and we can't tell you what to do."
"Let's go!"
After saying that, the group hurriedly left, but they didn't go far. They simply set up tents on the grass on the other side of the lake.
A three-meter-tall, somewhat clumsy-looking mechanical beast, under the control of those people, lay prostrate beside the tent to shield them from the wind and sand. Before long, they lit a fire and started roasting food there.
"Su Yuan, they..."
Red Fox was a little puzzled. The identities and origins of these people were unknown. They didn't seem to be people who came to fetch water or hunt, but they were supposed to be setting up a camp.
The tent made of a few tattered animal hides and a few iron plates didn't look like a tribe at all; to her, it looked more like a group of wanderers.
But those ice spikes weren't something an ordinary person or an awakened warrior could unleash.
"It's alright, don't worry about them, let's rest here for a while."
The intense heat of the sky made it impossible to open one's eyes outside; even in this oasis, waves of heat could be felt.
The three avoided the group of people, rested, and quietly returned to Moon Pivot City, leaving only the teleportation array in a bush.
"Sis, they're gone?"
After a while, when they finished eating and turned their heads, they found that the three people had already disappeared, and their eyes couldn't help but show some disappointment.
"If they're leaving, then they're leaving."
"Hey, I was just about to ask them if they were exiles. They're so amazing. It would be great if they could join us."
