Chapter Seventy-Eight: Helping Each Other

Before the last word could even finish, he was punched hard in the nose.

The person who hit him struck so hard and so fast that he was caught off guard and fell to the ground due to inertia.

Just as he instinctively reached for his nose, a shadow loomed over him, and a hail of fists rained down on his face.

Waaah, his face was only half a year old after he went to South Korea for plastic surgery, and now he's being pinned to the ground and brutally beaten. I feel like crying.

Don't let his status as a rich second-generation fool you; he's a rich second-generation who dares to do what he thinks. He thought about crying, and he actually cried.

"Help! Someone save me!" The rich kid not only cried, but also shouted for help.

He shouted for a long time, but no one came to his rescue. He was desperate. He couldn't just let himself be beaten to the ground forever. The rich kid started to save himself, "Big brother, I was wrong, I was really wrong. Please, hero, have mercy on me this time!"

Young Master Pei could have punched faster and harder than he was doing now, but unfortunately, if he had gone any faster or harder, it would have caused a burning pain in that indescribable part of his body. That's why he slowed down his speed and power considerably.

As the rich kid begged for mercy, Young Master Pei stopped hitting him, but still pinned him to the ground and asked him sternly, "Do you really know you were wrong?"

The rich kid was so embarrassed that his face was pressed to the floor that he couldn't nod. Otherwise, he would have been nodding like a pounding garlic. He kept saying, "Hero, I really know I was wrong. Please, have mercy on me this time!"

Young Master Pei released him abruptly. As he straightened up, he accidentally aggravated that indescribable part of his body again, and couldn't help but gasp.

The rich kid, whose nose was visibly deformed from the beating, was afraid that Young Master Pei might get in a bad mood and beat him up again, so he asked him ingratiatingly, "Big brother, is your hand alright?"

He thought that Young Master Pei gasped because he had hurt his hand by hitting him.

Young Master Pei sighed, not wanting to bother with the rich second-generation. Now that he had resolved the issue in a simple and direct way, he prepared to leave Li Shaojun's office.

Just as he turned around, the rich kid's voice came from behind him, "Hero, I'm so sorry, my skin is too thick, I hurt your hand, I'm so sorry..."

Young Master Pei turned around and saw that the rich second-generation was practically slapping himself in the face. Another master of acting. He snorted coldly, turned around, and continued walking towards the door.

The rich kid's voice continued from behind, "Hero, please slow down. I have a few questions to ask you."

To be honest, Young Master Pei felt he had gone a bit too far. He had beaten up a complete stranger, a rich second-generation heir, and now everyone was calling him a hero and addressing him with the respectful title "you." It was a bit of a mess.

To make amends to the innocent rich kid, Young Master Pei actually turned around and looked at him, "Ask whatever you want."

The rich kid shuddered. Clearly, he was terrified of Young Master Pei after being beaten by him. However, despite his fear, his thirst for knowledge overcame his psychological trauma.

The rich kid stared intently at Young Master Pei with eyes that were instantly filled with curiosity. "Hero, I just want to ask, what are the answers to those questions you gave me earlier?"

Young Master Pei stroked his chin. "Listen carefully. The answers are: losing more than you gain, trying to break a rock with an egg, making a baseless rumor, and immortality."

After saying this, Young Master Pei left without lingering.

The rich second-generation heir, still slumped on the ground, was initially bewildered, but later filled with admiration.

This is a true master, a master among masters.

Young Master Pei stood in the hospital corridor, looked up at the ceiling, and thought, "What kind of expert is he? He was forced into it, you know."

As the most prestigious private hospital in City B, where even wealthy people might not be able to get an appointment, you can't hear any noise even standing in the corridor.

The scent that enters the nose is not the pungent, unpleasant smell of disinfectant found in public hospitals; it's a delicate floral fragrance that, when inhaled through the nose and into the lungs, greatly calms the mind.

Young Master Pei walked to the window, took out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket, lit it, took a deep drag, then took out his phone, found a number he had recently called, and dialed it back.

Xu Moran answered the phone quickly, "Dr. Pei, hello."

After several meetings, Young Master Pei was quite satisfied with his future sister-in-law. He could tell from the details that she was a very well-mannered person, even though she grew up in an orphanage.

"Sister-in-law..." Young Master Pei was thinking about his future sister-in-law when he almost called her "sister-in-law." Fortunately, he reacted quickly and corrected himself in time. "Officer Xu, are you free at eight o'clock tonight? I've already made an appointment for you with the best neurologist in our hospital."

Xu Moran didn't pay much attention to Pei Hang always calling her "sister-in-law" before changing his address. After all, there was a story Pei Hang had written and acted out: his current girlfriend was one of his many former "sisters-in-law," creating a somewhat messy relationship.

On the other end of the phone, she repeatedly thanked Pei Hang, "Dr. Pei, thank you so much, thank you, thank you."

Pei Hang was so startled by Xu Moran's repeated thanks that the hand holding the cigarette trembled, and cigarette ash fell into his palm, almost burning him.

Feeling unworthy of the thanks from Young Master Pei, Xu Moran swallowed nervously and repeatedly said to Xu Moran, "You're welcome, you're welcome. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions in the future."

Xu Moran laughed on the other end of the phone, "Dr. Pei, given your profession, it's best to avoid contacting you."
