Even though she knew it was An Jingfeng who told Zhenzhen, she still wanted to ask him in person, as if she wanted to further confirm An Jingfeng's attitude towards the child in her womb.
Zhenzhen took a bite of the shrimp dumpling, her little mouth and cheeks puffed out. "My godfather told me."
"Godfather?" Jiang Moli frowned slightly. She didn't know when An Jingfeng had become Zhenzhen's godfather.
Zhenzhen said earnestly, "Mom, Uncle An is my godfather."
Looking at her daughter's cute and innocent face, Jiang Moli had so much to say, but she couldn't bring herself to say it. The child's heart was so pure, and she couldn't bear to taint it by saying anything more.
Zhenzhen took Jiang Moli's hand and shook it back and forth. "Mom, I think my godfather likes me more than my original dad. I really want my godfather to be my dad."
In the past, if Zhenzhen had said such things, Jiang Moli would have definitely criticized her harshly. No matter how indifferent Zheng Heping was, or even how much he disliked Zhenzhen under the influence and instigation of Zheng's mother, she would not allow Zhenzhen to say anything bad about Zheng Heping.
Things are really different now. She believes that we should not stifle children's true feelings and resolutely avoid moral blackmail, especially when it comes to children.
Zhenzhen's innocent words reminded her of something very important, so she asked Zhenzhen, "Zhenzhen, if Mommy and Daddy separated, would you be sad?"
No matter how wonderful the plan is, it must be combined with reality. She had completely given up on Zheng Heping, and the child in her belly further strengthened her determination to leave him.
Her only worry was that Zhenzhen might disagree.
Zhenzhen raised her little face and looked at Jiang Moli seriously. "Mom, if the dad you're talking about is Uncle An, I'll be sad. If not, I won't be sad at all."
Jiang Moli was a little surprised by Zhenzhen's answer and asked her cautiously, "Zhenzhen, do you think Daddy is bad?"
Zhenzhen thought for a moment, "Mom, I think Uncle An is better."
Jiang Moli tapped her daughter's little nose, "You silly child."
Zhenzhen whispered a few more words to Jiang Moli's lower abdomen before brushing her teeth again and going back to her room to sleep.
Jiang Moli felt that she was much lazier during this pregnancy than when she was pregnant with Zhenzhen. Normally, she would not want to look at the dishes that were left overnight, but today she just didn't want to wash the dishes.
People always have to be a little willful sometimes. Jiang Moli left the restaurant and sat on the sofa in the living room. She took out her phone, wanting to call Xu Moran, but for a moment she didn't know what to say.
Should we just tell her that she's pregnant and that the child is the same person whose portrait was drawn at the police station last time?
Even though Xu Moran was her best friend, she was too embarrassed to say it directly.
I'm so worried, so very worried.
The phone she was holding suddenly rang, the abrupt ring startling her. Looking down, she saw it was Zheng Heping calling.
