"Uncle," Zhenzhen let go of Jiang Moli's hand and then reached for An Jingfeng's hand, "Do you think my mom is like a superwoman?"
An Jingfeng was so embarrassed that words couldn't describe it. He squatted down to be at the same height as Zhenzhen to talk to her, trying to cover up his embarrassment. "It's like, your mother is like a superwoman."
"Uncle," Zhenzhen said earnestly to An Jingfeng, "I want to be an even more amazing superwoman than my mom so I can protect her better."
An Jingfeng thought of the man he had seen at the bar that day, Jiang Moli's husband, and a feeling he couldn't quite describe welled up inside him. He felt sorry for Jiang Moli.
An Jingfeng, being a man, was thick-skinned and took the initiative to greet Jiang Moli, "What a coincidence, do you work here?"
Jiang Moli had just mumbled an "Mmm" when Zhenzhen's clear voice rang out again, "Uncle, we live in this neighborhood."
An Jingfeng said "Oh," looked at Jiang Moli, and said, "What a coincidence, Uncle also lives in this neighborhood."
"Really?" Zhenzhen asked excitedly, holding An Jingfeng's hand. "Uncle, can I play with you often from now on?"
"Of course, who can blame us when little Zhenzhen is so adorable?" An Jingfeng gently pinched the tip of little Zhenzhen's nose and smiled.
Jiang Moli scolded Zhenzhen, "You child, your uncle has to go to work and is very busy. You can't play with your uncle."
“Oh.” Zhenzhen immediately looked dejected. “I forgot that adults and children are different. Adults have to go to work so they can earn money to support us children.”
If Jiang Moli hadn't said those words to Zhenzhen, the child, who was only a little over four years old, would never have said such a thing.
Judging from her appearance, this woman has had a very difficult life in the past.
An Jingfeng didn't look at Jiang Moli, but said to Zhenzhen, "Little Zhenzhen, Uncle isn't busy at work. Uncle is usually quite lonely by himself. In the future, I'd like to play with you often, little Zhenzhen. Is that okay?"
Xiao Zhenzhen was naturally very happy, clapping her hands and jumping up and down to get the milk for An Jingfeng.
Jiang Moli wanted to pretend she didn't know An Jingfeng from this moment on and focus on arranging the shelves next to the cashier. But in her heart, she thought to herself, "I never thought this man was so good at coaxing children." She could clearly feel that Zhenzhen liked this man more than Zheng Heping.
An Jingfeng walked to the cashier, picked up a pack of Jiang Moli chewing gum, put it on the counter, and introduced himself: "My name is An Jingfeng, and I live at..."
He revealed the building and address of the apartment he was renting.
Jiang Moli pretended not to hear and paid the bill for him. Because she didn't dare to look him in the eye, her hand accidentally touched the back of An Jingfeng's hand.
Their hands suddenly touched, as if time had instantly reversed back to that night.
Thinking back carefully, it's not entirely accurate to say that Jiang Moli tried to pull on An Jingfeng's belt first. After all, An Jingfeng was tall and skilled enough that even if there were fifty Jiang Moli's, or even a hundred of them, trying to pull on his belt, he wouldn't succeed.
As for what happened later, there's no need to say more about the adult men and women. He was just surprised that Jiang Moli, a married woman who had been married for many years, had such a lack of experience.
After realizing what had happened, Jiang Moli quickly withdrew her hand. She looked down and saw that her hand was trembling violently.
An Jingfeng feigned composure, thus avoiding the embarrassment that Jiang Moli felt. As an adult man, although he mostly relied on his hands when he had needs, he couldn't rule out having a casual affair with someone he found attractive.
After dawn, no matter how much they clicked before bed, they would get dressed and part ways in perfect unison. If he encountered a difficult one, he would at most just pay a little more money.
In many ways, money really is a good thing; there's nothing that money can't solve.
There weren't many casual relationships, but they weren't too few either. Strangely enough, he had a different feeling for Jiang Moli; at least he felt embarrassed about it.
As he took the chewing gum, he turned to Jiang Moli and started making small talk, asking, "Which building do you live in?"
Jiang Moli suddenly looked up at him, and he was startled. He realized something and waved his hands to explain, "Don't misunderstand, I was just thinking that when I have time, I can go and play with Zhenzhen."
Jiang Moli didn't give him an answer, but he felt someone tugging at his clothes. He looked down and saw Zhenzhen holding a cup of milk that was clearly warmed up. She said to An Jingfeng in her clear voice, "Uncle, here's some milk for you."
An Jingfeng hesitated for a moment, then gently stroked Zhenzhen's head and said softly, "My dear, Uncle won't drink it, you drink it."
Despite her young age, Zhenzhen is quite opinionated and insisted, "No, Uncle, the milk is from Zhenzhen, so you must drink it."
An Jingfeng was deeply moved. He didn't stand on ceremony anymore, picked up the milk and drank it. It was a three-year-old child who had heated the milk, so you can imagine how bad the temperature must have been. The outside of the cup was hot, but the milk inside was still ice cold. However, he didn't show any disgust. He tilted his head back and drank it in big gulps.
After he finished drinking his milk, Zhenzhen waved to him, signaling him to squat down; she had something to whisper to him.
An Jingfeng was inexplicably captivated by this three-year-old girl, and she unearthed a soft spot deep within him that he had never even noticed.
Zhenzhen told him that her house was right across from his.
After whispering the secret, a smug and satisfied smile appeared on her little face.
Jiang Moli was puzzled and confused by the intimate behavior between Zhenzhen and An Jingfeng. What was wrong with the child?
Having been abandoned twice by Old Mrs. Zheng, she often made veiled accusations against Zhenzhen. She was timid and introverted. This was the first time she had ever seen Zhenzhen like a stranger so much.
