Chapter 1 I am not a zombie, I am Nuwa

Chapter 1 I am not a zombie, I am Nuwa

Kyoto forensic room.

When Lin Ji was checking the autopsy report for the eighth time, the tip of his pen suddenly pierced the paper.

He took off his gold-rimmed glasses and looked wearily at the dissecting table.

The unidentified female corpse that was brought in three hours ago was as quiet as before, as if seeing her eyelashes fluttering just now was just an illusion caused by staying up late.

The tip of his scalpel gently pried open the sutures on the woman's chest.

The blade was suddenly stuck by something, and a drop of blood rolled down the silver blade.

Lin Ji's pupils contracted violently, and he saw the heart beating in the chest of the female corpse.

The surface of the organ was covered with ice crystals, but it showed a strange temperature on the instrument monitoring screen.

The dissecting scope fell to the ground with a clang, and he stepped backwards, knocking over the instrument rack. He didn't even feel the pain when the surgical scissors pierced his instep.

Feng Tianning was awakened by the strong smell of blood.

When I opened my eyes, I saw an incandescent light swaying above my head and a man in a white coat stumbling towards the emergency button.

She instinctively reached out to block the light, and this action caused the entire row of freezers to suddenly buzz, and a dozen metal drawers popped out simultaneously.

“Don’t press it.”

Her voice had the texture of cracking ice, and Lin Ji's hand froze above the red button as if being controlled.

The surveillance screen flickered with snowflakes, reflecting the image of the female corpse slowly sitting up:

Her black hair swept across the bloodstains on the dissection table, her bare feet hung in the cold air, with a plastic number tag from the morgue hanging on her ankle.

"Where is this?" Feng Tianning pressed his aching temple, the only scene in his mind being the successful repair of the sky.

She saw her face reflected on the mirrored stainless steel, strange yet familiar.

Lin Ji's back was already against the fire door. This man, who had won the Outstanding Forensic Doctor Award three times, was now trembling with teeth: "This is the forensic room..."

"You are... the body found under the cross-river bridge this morning..."

Lin Ji uttered a complete sentence tremblingly.

Just as he finished speaking, the whole row of freezers suddenly shook violently, and the door of the forensic room slammed open.

When Feng Tianning turned around, he saw a corpse wrapped in waterproof cloth slowly sitting up.

The swollen fingertips were dripping with river water, and the white knuckles were clearly wearing the same numbered tag as her ankle.

"careful!"

Lin Ji shouted subconsciously, then suddenly realized what was going on.

This girl was most likely not human, so what did he have to worry about?

No, that cabinet was clearly filled with miscellaneous items, so how come there was suddenly a corpse?

Lin Ji's face turned pale in an instant.

Feng Tianning stepped barefoot on the ice debris on the ground, and the debris actually retreated in sync with her footsteps.

The moment she reached out and touched the corpse's forehead, sparks suddenly burst out from the circuits of the entire building.

When the emergency lights came on, Lin Ji saw a scene he would never forget:

The corpse knelt down in the direction of the resurrected girl, its rotten knees leaving bloody marks on the tiles.

The woman who was supposed to be lying on the dissecting table stood in the bloody light and shadow, her long hair moving without wind, and the frost under her feet was emitting strange colorful light.

"Don't come over here!" Lin Ji almost cried when she touched the door handle.

Seeing the female corpse walking towards him barefoot on the icy ground, Lin Ji's legs went weak and he collapsed in a pool of blood.

The corpse spots on the girl's ankles were being swallowed up by golden lines. Those lines were clearly the divine patterns for repairing the sky recorded in the Classic of Mountains and Seas.

"Ghost lady, I didn't kill you. I'm just a forensic doctor."

"Every wrong has its perpetrator, and you shouldn't come to me for revenge even if you're just pretending to be dead!"

Lin Ji was crying with tears and snot all over his face, his body crawling on the ground, as if he was kneeling down to Feng Tianning.

"I'm not a zombie, I'm Nuwa."

Feng Tianning looked at the little man in front of him and suddenly remembered the scene when he was making people with colorful clay.

"You are my mother, my mother."

There was only a buzzing sound in Lin Ji's ears, and he could only hear a few syllables uttered by the girl in front of him who was pretending to be dead.

He didn't care about anything and just followed Feng Tianning's words.

Feng Tianning looked at the man curled up on the ground with some helplessness, and began to doubt whether she had pinched the ears of her clay child.

Feng Tianning tore off the blood-stained plastic sheet, revealing a bowl-sized penetrating wound on his heart.

Lin Ji watched helplessly as the hideous blood hole was filled with golden light.

The moment the golden light appeared, the corpses broke out of the cabinets and rushed towards Lin Ji like crazy as if they were summoned by something.

Feng Tianning snapped his fingers without even looking back, and the rotten corpse that pounced on Lin Ji instantly froze into an ice sculpture.

"I am Nuwa."

Feng Tianning walked past Lin Ji to the door, then turned back and emphasized something to him.

Lin Ji Zhengzheng watched the door open automatically. The girl who was covered in blood just now now looked like a god.

It was not until the girl disappeared that he came to his senses. With trembling hands, he took out his cell phone and dialed an encrypted number.

"Special Case Team? I'm Lin Ji, a forensic pathologist from the Kyoto Public Security Bureau.

A female corpse suddenly resurrected and has left the Kyoto Public Security Bureau."

"Requesting a swift arrest."
