Extra 4 Yucai Middle School

Extra 4 Yucai Middle School

"Do you really understand?"

"I really understand."

"I won't show up rashly."

Director Cai looked at her steadily for a long time before he sighed helplessly and waved his hand.

"Go quickly."

Feng Tianning nodded and led everyone from Group 11 to the bus.

When the new agents saw the newcomers, they looked at them with curiosity.

The bus's engine let out a dull roar as it pulled away from the Special Case Team headquarters, gradually leaving the hustle and bustle of the city behind. Inside, however, the atmosphere was far from relaxed.

Eleven new agents, both men and women, were wearing uniform combat training uniforms. They looked at Feng Tianning, who was sitting in the front row, and the old members of the eleven teams scattered throughout the carriage with eyes that were either curious, nervous, or pretended to be calm.

Feng Tianning closed his eyes and rested, seemingly unaware of the outside world's gazes.

She was dressed in simple casual clothes, without any iconic equipment or weapons, and looked even more... ordinary than some of the newcomers.

Apart from that overly pretty yet expressionless face, there was an indescribable calm aura surrounding her that made people subconsciously afraid to act recklessly.

A male agent named Gao Meng, who was sitting in the middle row, had a shaved head and a somewhat rebellious look in his eyes. He finally couldn't help but whispered to his companion next to him:

"What the hell? Didn't they say this exam was hellishly difficult, with the strongest person leading the team? That's it? He looks like a college student... Is he some leader's family trying to gild his reputation?"

His companion, Li Mu, who wore glasses and looked more cautious, frowned and motioned him to speak in a lower voice.

But these words were still heard by several newcomers nearby, and the whispers spread like ripples. Suspicious eyes fell on Feng Tianning even more openly.

Fu Ruxuan, who was sitting behind Feng Tianning, sneered, curled her hair with her fingers, and spoke lazily:

"Rookie, if you don't need your eyes, you can donate them to someone in need. The fact that you're even sitting here speaks volumes. Don't use your pitiful perception to measure something you can't understand."

Gao Meng was choked for a moment, his face was a little embarrassed, and he said with his neck stiff:

"Senior, that's not what you're saying! We're going to risk our lives! You have to let us know why the person leading the team is so talented? Just because she's pretty?"

Zhang Lan also turned around and stared at Gao Meng with a bad look:

"Kid, have you heard that words can cause trouble? If you keep talking nonsense, I won't wait for you to enter the strange realm. I will let you experience the true difficulty of hell first."

Xuan Gou Chen added expressionlessly, “Tian Ning’s ability rating is senior agent.

You just need to know that if even she can't solve the trouble inside, then headquarters can consider building a permanent wall outside the school."

Qin Guan didn't say anything, but just silently adjusted the weapon at his feet, which made a slight metal knocking sound and carried invisible pressure.

The newcomers were beaten and beaten by the old team members, and they calmed down temporarily, but the suspicion and uneasiness did not dissipate, but were suppressed.

Gao Meng curled his lips in dissatisfaction, obviously not completely convinced.

Feng Tianning never opened her eyes, as if all this quarrel had nothing to do with her.

Until the bus suddenly stopped.

The driver's voice came with a hint of subtle tension:

"Commanders, we've learned from Yucai Middle School. We can only stop here. We can't go any further ahead."

Everyone looked through the car window, and the noise inside the car suddenly became silent.

It was an area shrouded in a gray fog, with extremely low visibility. At the edge of the fog, one could see temporary isolation piers and flashing warning lights set up by the special case team.

Further away, the outline of a dilapidated campus loomed in the fog, like a mirage, but exuding a heart-wrenching coldness and silence.

The rusty iron plaque reading "Yucai Middle School" hung askew on the gatepost, its lettering peeling. The trees on campus were dead and twisted, their branches reaching toward the gray sky like desperate ghost claws.

All the windows of the teaching buildings were dark, and many of the glass was broken, like empty eye sockets with the eyeballs dug out.

The most uncomfortable thing is the "silence".

It was not pure silence, but a kind of dead silence that was forcibly suppressed, as if something was holding its breath and was greedily spying on these uninvited guests from behind the fog.

The air was filled with a mixture of rust, dust and some indescribable, sweet and decaying smell.

"Gudong." One of the newcomers swallowed hard, and the sound was particularly clear in the carriage where you could hear a pin drop.

The arrogance on Gao Meng's face had long disappeared, leaving only pale tension. He subconsciously gripped the armrest of the chair.

Even Fu Ruxuan and others who had spoken for Feng Tianning before became serious and checked their equipment quickly and professionally.

Feng Tianning finally opened her eyes. Her gaze calmly swept across the campus outside the window, which was engulfed by the strange fog. Her eyes did not waver at all, as if she was just looking at an ordinary scenery.

She stood up, and her voice was clearly heard by every uneasy newcomer:

"Get off the bus and line up in pre-determined groups. Remember, from now on, what you see, hear, and even feel may not be real. Control your emotions. Fear is the best bait here."

She walked towards the car door first, her steps steady. Behind her, the members of Group 11 immediately followed, forming a tacit escort formation.

The newlyweds looked at each other, took a deep breath, suppressed the throbbing in their hearts, and got off the bus one after another.

As my feet stepped on the cold and hard ground, a bone-chilling chill immediately rushed up along the soles of my feet. The gray mist seemed to have life, flowing slowly and trying to wrap around the living body.

Just as the last newcomer stepped off the bus, the huge car was suddenly dragged backwards by something, and the tires made a screeching sound.

He quickly reversed and turned around, disappearing back the way he came almost as if escaping, as if staying for even a second longer would be tainted with bad luck.

They were completely left in this gray area shrouded in isolation and weirdness.

Woo-woo-woo-woo

Without warning, an old air raid siren, as if jammed with phlegm, rang out from deep within the campus. It was hoarse and intermittent, distorting everyone's nerves.

Then, with a teeth-grinding creak, the rusted iron gate at the entrance to the school slowly opened inward, a gap just wide enough for one person to pass through. Inside the gate was an even thicker, solidified gray fog, making it impossible to see anything.

The newcomers' expressions changed completely, their breathing became rapid, and some even began to tremble slightly. The previous suspicion and nervousness were now replaced by a more primitive fear, facing the unknown horror.
