Chapter 126

run!

The young goblin ran across the empty plain.

He was only wearing a pair of torn shorts and his whole body was covered with scars. He could hear the sound of the wind and the rustling of grass, and other than that, there was only the sound of his own breathing and heartbeat.

After running for an unknown amount of time, the goblin tripped over a stone and fell to the ground.

This pounce made the tireless goblin lose his last bit of strength. He turned over in the grass and raised his hands involuntarily, looking at the yellow sun and blue sky above his head through his fingers.

He only looked for a while, then covered his eyes with his raised hands. A low whimper came from his mouth, as if he was crying, but the corners of his mouth were raised.

He got out! He escaped!

He didn't have any broken limbs, and he wasn't caught up. From today on, he was free!

The goblin pulled a piece of grass from the side, put it in his mouth, chewed it and slowly climbed up.

He stood up, brushed the mud off his butt, looked around blankly, and after waiting for a while, he walked towards the sun.

Just keep walking forward. When you are thirsty, drink water in the mud like animals. When you are hungry, look for wild fruits and plant roots.

The goblin didn't know where he was going, let alone where he was. When he occasionally saw a village, he dared to go around it.

Occasionally, he would see slaves being escorted.

His people will be there.

But he didn't dare to go over and just took a look from a distance.

Sometimes when he passed by the woods, he could see signs of human activity, but the goblins did not look for them. Living in such deep forests, one could tell that the goblins were not much different from him and would not take him in.

Occasionally, the goblin would stay in one place for a while. If he saw that there was only one house nearby, he would carefully ask for some food and clean water.

He traveled to many places and saw slave goblins who were whipped like he had been, and he also saw goblin masters who were decent and served by elves.

Having been a slave since childhood, it was the first time for him to know that not all goblins were slaves.

After walking for an unknown number of days, the goblin stopped at the edge of a city. He wanted to find a place to stay where the household registration check was not strict and where he could find a job and make a living.

He walked around here several times and finally chose a small town.

The city is not big and the walls are low - the low walls mean that this city has not seen a war for many years. There are dense woods outside the city, and the goblins live on mushrooms and fungi these days. Even if they can't find a job in the city, they won't starve to death by taking a walk in the woods.

He would also go to high places to observe and found that there were many races living in this city, unlike other towns, where there was usually only one race and the other races were servants and slaves. He could see goblins living in single-family buildings, and elves flapping their wings to do business.

Such a beautiful place made the goblin think he was hallucinating.

Everyone living in this town seems to live an equal and beautiful life.

He could see goblins like him walking on the road holding children's hands. They were wearing linen clothes and had smiles on their faces. The children were holding a small basket with vegetables and fruits in it.

Others didn't look at them sideways.

It seemed like this family was extremely ordinary, with nothing worthy of attention.

The goblin observed for more than a month. The more he observed, the more envious he became, and the more he wanted to become a resident of this city.

With so many races living in one city, there is no fighting or discrimination between them, and even the weakest goblin can live with his head held high.

And he did not see a single slave in the city.

No one had shackles on their hands and feet.

Finally, one morning, the goblin sneaked in. He didn't dare to enter through the city gate. After walking around for a few times, he found a hole in the city wall. Fortunately, he was thin enough and naturally short, so although it was difficult and his skin was scraped, he still managed to get in.

But after entering the city, he still didn't dare to show up in front of people and could only hide from others.

Finally, after careful consideration, the goblin quietly found the door of the family of three he had observed before in the middle of the night.

They are all goblins, and the other party is living such a happy life, maybe they are willing to help him?

Even if you don't want to help him, you probably won't report him, right?

The goblin mustered up his courage and knocked on the door of the house. Soon, a kerosene lamp lit in the window.

The man's voice was rough, and he was dissatisfied with being woken up, but he still opened the door.

When the door opened, the goblin saw the dim light emitted by the kerosene lamp. Although the light had no temperature, it still made the goblin feel like he was in the sun.

The man looked at the goblin standing outside the door, who was so thin that only a bag of bones was left. He was stunned for a few seconds, and soon a kind and friendly smile appeared on his face. He slightly turned sideways to allow the goblin to walk into the house.

"Come in, where are you from? Are you hungry? I'll get you something to eat." The male host did not ask him anything more, but let him walk into the house without stopping him.

The goblin walked in cautiously, feeling surprised and terrified, for he had never entered such a house before.

He was afraid that his feet would bring dirt into this respectable house, so he kept rubbing the soles of his feet on the ground at the door, making sure that there was no dirt left before he walked in with a hunched back.

There was no light in the room, and the only source of light was the kerosene lamp held by the man of the house.

Although the goblin entered the house, he didn't dare to move. He just stood at the door. He was worried that the other party would think he was a bad guy.

The man of the house soon came out of the kitchen with a kerosene lamp and a small basket of bread in his hand.

"Come and sit here." The host waved to the goblin.

The goblin smelled the aroma of the bread and couldn't help but saliva. He stared at the bread in the basket, his eyes seemed to be glowing green.

Just as he was about to rush over, footsteps were heard on the stairs.

The hostess came downstairs with the little master.

The goblin didn't dare to move. He was afraid that he would be driven out by the mistress.

But the expected scolding and expulsion did not come. The hostess's voice was sweet and gentle. She stood on the stairs and said to her husband: "Is it a traveler?"

The man looked up and smiled at his wife, "Maybe he got lost? He must have been hungry for a long time. Wait until he is full before asking."

The hostess walked to the host, holding the child in her hand, and the family of three had the same happy smile on their faces.

"Don't be polite, please come and eat." The hostess said, "I'll go get you a glass of milk. Cow's milk is hard to buy now, so I only have goat's milk. Is that ok?"

The goblin had already pounced on the table, wolfing down the bread. When he heard the word "milk", he quickly looked up and nodded at the hostess.

He had seen slave owners drinking milk. Milk was very expensive, and even slave owners couldn't get it often, let alone slaves like them.

The hostess quickly went to pour a glass of milk.

The young master also took out his own sugar jar from the cupboard and put a handful of sugar on the table in front of the goblin.

As the goblin ate, his eyes became red.

He had never felt such kindness before.

This family are all good people.

The goblin chewed with tears in his eyes, and he swore in his heart that he would repay this family in the future.

After eating, the goblin was taken to the living room, where there was a kerosene lamp on the table. The whole family gathered around him, asking him why he came here and why he was in such a mess.

Maybe it was because the environment here was too cold and the three members of this family were too kind-hearted, and the goblin's psychological defenses all collapsed. He thought that since they were all goblins, it would be okay even if he told them everything, so he told them his origins.

"How pitiful." The hostess sighed, "Except here, the goblins can't live well anywhere else."

The man asked again: "You have been running away for so long, will no one find you?"

The goblin shook his head. “It took me a long time to find this place. Maybe dozens of days.”

The couple looked at each other and said with a smile, "You must be very tired now. We just happen to have an empty room where you can have a good rest."

The goblin said to them gratefully: "I will find a job soon and repay you! All my first year's income will be given to you."

"No need. We are all goblins. We should help each other." The male host took the goblin to the empty room. The space was on the first floor. When he opened the door, the goblin did not smell any dust. It seemed that someone had come back to clean the room.

There was a bed in the room, and the hostess also brought a quilt.

The goblin was extremely terrified. He had never felt so happy in his life. He wished he could dig out his heart and let the couple see how grateful he was.

"Go to bed early." The man stood at the door of the room. He said softly and gently, "I'll ask you to have breakfast with me tomorrow."

The goblin quickly responded, "Okay, okay."

The door closed slowly.

The light disappeared.

The goblin then realized that this room had no windows. He was shocked and walked carefully to the door and pushed it open.

The door is not locked.

The goblin breathed a sigh of relief. He blamed himself for being too suspicious and patted his forehead with his hand.

Others were kind enough to take him in and were from the same tribe, yet he actually suspected that they were trying to harm him.

What good would it do to harm him? He had nothing else but his flesh and blood, and his flesh and blood was worthless.

But the goblin did not go to bed - he had not washed himself, had fleas on his head, and was covered in mud and dust. He did not dare to dirty the good man's bed, so he went to the corner and curled himself up in a ball.

Although he was not sleeping on a soft bed and had no quilt on him, he did not have to worry about wild beasts appearing, nor was he affected by the cold night wind. The goblin closed his eyes drowsily and slowly fell asleep.

·

Is it daybreak?

The goblin was awakened by a blinding light.

He was still a little dazed and didn't know what was going on. He put his hands up to cover his eyes, and when he adjusted to the light, he finally remembered where he was.

He found a family who was willing to take him in and ate their bread.

He arrived at a place like heaven and met people who were like angels!

However, when the goblin put down his hand, he was horrified to find that he was not in the windowless room at all. He looked around and found that he was locked in a cage. He looked in the direction of the light.

A familiar figure appeared in his sight.

The male owner had his back to him and was talking to a human not far from the cage.

"He is a runaway slave," the goblin heard the man say to the human, "even if he dies, no one will find out, and no one will pursue the matter."

The host: "Can we continue to stay here this month?"

The human nodded at him: "Of course, as long as you bring people on time next month."

The host pursed his lips and whispered, "We have already called all the relatives we could..."

The human race said expressionlessly: "This has nothing to do with me. I don't care what you think. Every family must send one person every month. This is the deal we agreed on long ago."

"Then I'll think of another way." The man had a headache.

"What are you doing!" The goblin grabbed the railing and shouted at the man, "Where is this place? What are you going to do to me?"

The man turned his head and looked at the goblin. He seemed a little reluctant, so he quickly shifted his gaze and ran out.

The goblin could only charge the human standing there and yelled, "What are you going to do to me?!"

The human looked at him, probably because he thought this skinny and skinny goblin was too annoying, and said expressionlessly: "Don't waste your energy. This is underground. No matter how loud you shout, no one can hear you, and no one will save you."

"Don't worry, you will have food and be able to survive." The humans seemed to have always lived underground, never exposed to sunlight, and their skin was sickly pale.

"Hurry and bring her here!" a shrill young voice rang out.

The goblin felt the human in front of him turn pale again.

The goblin looked in the direction of the voice and saw someone coming down the stairs - it was a young boy.

He was wearing lambskin boots, a gentleman's hat, and a small-sized tailcoat. He was also very handsome, with golden hair that shone softly under the light of the oil lamp.

The young man took a rope from a hand behind him. His laughter was harsh and arrogant. "You are a third-generation direct descendant. Are you a mixed-blood bastard qualified to be my sister?"

He pulled the rope, and something seemed to roll down the stairs.

The goblin discovered that the "thing" seemed to be a person. The person was very small, but neither a goblin nor a dwarf. He looked more like a human. He had disheveled hair and was only wearing a torn skirt whose original color could not be seen - it was a girl.

She was so thin that the skirt covering her looked like a huge bag.

The rope was tied to her neck. The boy walked down from above, dragging the rope tied to the girl's neck. The girl could only crawl on the ground. The goblin then discovered that her hands and feet were bent to the sides at an incredible angle.

The girl was like a dog with broken limbs. In order to avoid being dragged, she could only crawl on the ground using her joints.

The boy led the girl and walked to the pale-faced human. He swung the rope and asked, "They said there's new stock today?"

The extremely cold-blooded human lowered his head before the young man, his voice filled with fear as he whispered, "Yes, Master, that's him."

The Terran pointed to the goblin in the cage.

The boy led the girl to the cage. A huge feeling of fear came over him and the goblin fell to the ground.

He saw the boy move his nose towards him, as if he was sniffing something.

"Why does he stink so much?" The boy pinched his nose.

The human race immediately said, "He is a runaway slave, and we haven't had time to deal with him yet."

The boy curled his lips and said, "I don't like goblins. Next time, let them capture some elves and humans."

The human race immediately said: "I will tell them. Doesn't the young master like the blood of elves the most? I have prepared it for the young master, Miss..."

He looked at the girl lying on the ground.

The young man kicked the human in the stomach. Although he looked young, his strength was enough to send the human flying more than ten meters away.

"What kind of lady is she? A bastard." The young man looked down at the girl and sneered, "Something that brings shame to the family."

"Not as good as my dog."

The human struggled to get up, his whole body trembling, but he still walked towards the boy and said carefully: "The Duke said that the nearby towns are investigating the disappearance of people recently, and asked you not to go out hunting by yourself..."

The boy kicked the girl irritably: "I know, mother has already said it, you don't need to repeat it."

The humans breathed a sigh of relief.

"By the way, I heard that mother brought back a few people?" The boy narrowed his eyes, "Is she going to create some brothers for me?"

The humans dared not speak.

This boy is a born devil. He is obviously a human being, but he is more cruel than a born vampire.

After being transformed, he quickly adapted to his new identity, and his jealousy became frighteningly strong.

He could not allow the "mother" who transformed him to have a bastard child.

But he himself could not touch silver and could not kill his "sister". Although he had sought help from other races, those people were still concerned that the "young lady" was the Duke's biological daughter and did not dare to do it.

At first, he did not show his cruelty and was willing to pretend to be a good brother in front of the "young lady".

It was not until he discovered that his mother cared about him more than the "eldest lady" that the shackles on him were removed.

He couldn't kill her, but he could make sure she would never appear in public, so that no one would know that he had a bastard sister.

This sister was his toy, his dog, and the test subject for all his cruel torture experiments.

He broke all four of her limbs. Although her limbs would not die, if no one helped her reconnect them, she would never be able to stand up and walk again.

Eternal life and immortal body became a curse to her.

The human looked at the girl on the ground as the boy finished with the bottle filled with blood.

Even he looked at her with sympathy in his eyes.

As the Duchess's only daughter, and a natural birth child, she should have been more noble and happier than a royal princess.

But she is a bastard.

So she was born unfortunate.
