Chapter 10 Chapter 10 Rules

Chapter 10 Chapter 10 Rules

Ning Yu glanced at the crowd with a cold face again, then took out a piece of paper and began to read it out one by one.

"All the rooms on this level are for you to rest in. There are snacks and water in them. If you're hungry or thirsty, feel free to take some. But these things are only for on-demand use. You're not allowed to take them off the ship privately. Especially not hiding snacks and water bottles under your crotch!"

"You may either rest in this cabin or enjoy the scenery on deck. Walking around or making loud noises is prohibited."

"There are toilets at both ends of the cabin. Do not relieve yourself anywhere else. Violators will be immediately kicked off the ship if discovered!"

"No quarreling, fighting, or causing trouble."

"The Immortal Boat is a magical treasure, but not all the potted plants, ornaments, and dishes on it contain spiritual energy. Regardless of whether these items have spiritual energy or not, stealing them is prohibited. Don't try to get away with it."

"You are prohibited from directly bribing the elders and disciples on board with visible items such as roast chicken, roast duck, suckling pig, gold, silver, and spirit stones. You are also prohibited from harassing them with suggestive behavior such as ogling, licking lips, and using lewd language... ahem, bribing the elders and disciples in subtle ways. Especially the latter, if discovered, you will be kicked off the ship immediately!"

"So please don't talk to the elders or disciples unless necessary, to avoid being mistaken for harassment."

"If anyone suddenly feels that their talent is mediocre and they can't pass the test after the boat is launched, and wants to escape, or suddenly regrets not wanting to join the Xuantian Sect and wants to join another sect instead, you can tell us directly, and we will send someone to escort you out of the Xuantian Mountains alone. So please don't jump off the boat in tears."

"The Xuantian Mountains have always belonged to the Xuantian Sect's territory. I fully understand that some people's lives are worthless, but littering is prohibited here."

"It is not recommended to do unnecessary labor such as sweeping or mopping the floor in front of us. The Immortal Boat has the ability to purify itself and is not stained by dust. We will not allow you to pass the test and join the sect just because you sweep the floor particularly well."

"Of course, if you say this is your hobby and you feel uncomfortable without working for a day, then we understand."

Everyone was originally listening to the words of the Xuantian Sect disciple very seriously, but as they listened, many people's eyes became confused or guilty.

Everyone: Ah... Is there something wrong with these regulations?

Yun Miao was just the opposite. She was originally waiting nonchalantly for this forced plot to pass, but ended up becoming more and more serious the more she listened.

After a moment, Ning Yu finished reading and swept his cold gaze over the crowd again.

"That's all I have to say. Do you understand? If you have any questions, you can ask me now. Otherwise, you might accidentally break the rules later and regret it too late."

This time, most people avoided her gaze, fearing that if they looked at her any longer, they would be accused of harassment and kicked off the boat.

However, just when Ning Yu was secretly satisfied, he suddenly caught a glimpse of a girl in blue in the crowd staring at him with bright eyes.

As their eyes met, the girl in green immediately raised her right hand and said loudly, "I have a question!"

"What's your problem?"

Ning Yu thought this was a troublemaker, and his voice became three points colder, but then he heard the girl in green speak in a very loud voice.

"I want to ask if you still want the piece of paper in your hand? Can you give it to me? I want to keep it for my collection!"

Ning Yu and the others were all stunned: Collection?

Huo Xin didn't expect Yun Miao to start making a fuss again as soon as he got on board. He gritted his teeth and whispered, "Can you please stop wanting to collect everything? What's the point of keeping this thing?!"

Yun Miao: "But it sounds interesting. As the saying goes, behind every outrageous rule there is an even more outrageous story, a painful lesson, and a handful of bitter tears. What do you think is behind these rules..."

"cough!"

Ning Yu quickly came to his senses and interrupted the green-clothed girl with a dry cough.

"I'll put this paper at the entrance of the cabin. If you really want, you can peel it off and keep it when everyone gets off the boat."

Yun Miao: "Thank you!"

Ning Yu pretended not to hear the thank you and asked the others again with a cold face if they had any objections. Seeing that no one said anything, she nodded slightly and threw the rice paper in her hand away.

The piece of paper immediately floated to the wall at the entrance of the cabin, and no matter how strong the wind was, it did not move at all.

She then retreated back to the rest of the Xuantian Sect disciples and stood there without saying a word. No one dared to speak to her; most had gone into the cabin to rest, leaving only a few still wandering around on the deck.

Guan Dahai and Gao Zhu, who had been pushed elsewhere by the crowd, immediately walked towards Huo Xin and Yun Miao: "The sun is too hot, let's go inside and rest."

Huo Xin nodded and was about to pull Yun Miao into the cabin, but when he reached out his hand, he didn't touch anyone. When he turned around, he saw Yun Miao had already walked towards the Xuantian Sect disciples.

Huo Xin immediately rushed forward and grabbed Yun Miao's hand. "What are you going to do now?!"

Guan Dahai and Gao Zhuye also hurried forward and stretched out their arms to stop the people.

"Didn't they give you the paper you asked for?"

"We'll help you get it when you get off the boat."

Yun Miao patted his small bag and said, "I want to say hello to that girl and give her the flowers I picked."

Hearing this, Ning Yu tilted her head slightly. It was that girl in green again...

Huo Xin's expression was grim: "No, if they don't accept bribes, you will be kicked off the boat."

Yun Miao said seriously, "I'm not trying to bribe her to help me pass the test. I simply want to be her friend because she's beautiful."

Huo Xin immediately restrained both of Yun Miao's hands. "That's even worse. Judging people by appearances is wrong. After all, the most important reason for us to come here is to join the Xuantian Sect. If we are kicked off the boat now, then the storage bag you've been longing for will fly away."

Yun Miao retreated upon hearing this, and she looked at the cold and beautiful disciple NPC with disappointment.

"Okay, then after I join Xuantian Sect, can I go and make friends with her?"

Huo Xin nodded hesitantly to indicate that it was okay. He guessed that Xuantian Sect didn't have any rules prohibiting disciples from making friends with each other, right?

Yun Miao and the others spoke in a very low voice, but those Xuantian Sect disciples were at least in the Foundation Establishment Stage, and Ning Yu was even a master in the Golden Core Stage, so even though they were more than a hundred meters apart, they could still hear the whispers of Yun Miao and the others clearly.

Someone winked at Ning Yu and moved his lips almost imperceptibly.

"Senior Sister Ning is so charming!"

"If such a lively and lovely little girl asked to be my friend, I would definitely agree immediately."

"If such a lively and lovely little girl said she wanted to give me flowers, I would definitely be beaming with joy."

"Alas, it's a pity that no one has ever expressed such enthusiasm about wanting to be friends with me."

"Alas, it's a pity that no one has ever been so enthusiastic about offering to give me flowers. Senior Sister Ning is so lucky!"

Ning Yu: ...

Ning Yu glanced at him coldly and said, "Whoever talks too much will be responsible for cleaning the toilets on the Immortal Boat after the disciple-taking ceremony."

As soon as these words were spoken, several disciples immediately shut their mouths and looked into the distance in a deep and profound manner.

Huo Xin was afraid that Yun Miao would make some noise again, so he held her hand tightly all the way to the cabin.

The corridors on both sides of the cabin were indeed lined with rest rooms. One of the rules just read out was "It is forbidden to close the door and engage in sexual activities in broad daylight, polluting the tranquility of the immortal ship." Everyone was afraid of being misunderstood by others if they closed the door, so they tacitly left it open.

The doors of all the rooms were open, and noisy chatter could be heard coming from them. Huo Xin knew that the rooms near the entrance must be crowded, so he walked straight in.

Yun Miao let her lead him, looking around curiously: "Didn't you say you wanted to come in and rest? Why don't you go into the room?"

Huo Xin: "There are too many people. I want to go inside and find a quieter room with fewer people."

Got it, now it's time for 'Side Quest: Find a Quiet Room'!

Yun Miao broke free from Huo Xin's hand: "Then let's look for them separately!"

Huo Xin: "Don't run around!"

Yun Miao pretended not to hear and stood in front of the open door, looking inside. She looked at each room one by one until she finally found the room she liked.

There were no tables or chairs in the room, but twelve low, long desks.

The rich, dark brown wood exuded a warm, lustrous texture. Atop it lay a simple lacquer tray and ceramic tea set. The various snacks on the tray formed a spire, while the teapot exuded a delicate fragrance. Three cushions sat on the floor on either side of the table, offering seating and rest.

There was only a teenage boy in the room wearing an apricot-yellow silk shirt. He had a necklace around his neck and a jade pendant around his waist, and the word "wealth" was written all over his body.

When Yun Miao looked over, he saw that the man was sitting cross-legged on a cushion, raising his hand to hold a teacup tilted over his eyes, staring at the teacup intently, not knowing what he was looking at.

She glanced away without interest and turned to wave at Huo Xin and the other two in the aisle.

"Come quickly, there are the fewest people here, only one person!"

Tan Xiaobai, who was concentrating on staring at the teacup in the room, was startled by the sound. His hand trembled and a few drops of steaming tea splashed into his eyes.

"Ouch! My eyes!"

Huo Xin and the other two heard screams from inside the room and hurried over to Yun Miao to look inside. They saw a fair and handsome young man from a wealthy family sitting inside. His eyes were red and tears welled up in the corners. He lowered his head and wiped his tears with his sleeves, looking like he had been badly bullied.

Huo Xin, Guan Dahai and Gao Zhu looked at Yun Miao silently and then quickly looked away. Yun Miao had been standing outside the door and was in their sight, so they were very sure that Yun Miao had not done anything to this rich young man.
