Chapter 25

Chapter 25

"No way." Jiang Qiao was so curious that she stood on tiptoe to touch his face. Lu Xun couldn't dodge and was touched by her.

Lu Xun felt a warm and smooth touch on his face, and his breathing stagnated, unable to move.

Jiang Qiao had already stood up straight, and distanced herself from the two of them. Her delicate eyebrows knitted together, "Lu Xun, do you have a fever?"

"What?" Lu Xun seemed to not understand what she meant. A hint of confusion flashed across his dark and calm eyes.

How can you be so stupid!

Jiang Qiao touched his forehead again. The temperature under her palm was scorching. She gritted her teeth and said, "Do you know that you have a fever?!"

Lu Xun understood this time. His dull brain barely started to work. He pursed his abnormally red lips and said, “…I am not feeling well.”

He thought it was just a common cold.

Jiang Qiao was almost amused by his stupidity. If she didn't come, Lu Xun's reaction ability would burn her alive into a fool.

How can I still be Long Aotian!

She took a deep breath and said, "Let's go to the hospital."

Lu Xun followed her without resistance, staring at their connected hands with his eyes downcast. An inappropriate thought popped up in his mind: "Jiang Qiao's hands are so small."

Just like her, she is petite, but her temper can explode at the slightest provocation, like a little firecracker...

The school doctor had already gone off duty. Jiang Qiao called the class teacher to explain the situation and took Lu Xun to the nearest hospital.

I arrived and took my temperature. It was close to 39.5 and was still rising.

Jiang Qiao looked at Lu Xun's pale face covered in cold sweat and asked the doctor, "Why does he look so uncomfortable?"

"Of course a high fever is uncomfortable," the doctor said without taking it seriously.

For others, it is not difficult to understand why he had such an expression, but Lu Xun did not seem like someone who could not tolerate it.

Jiang Qiao frowned: "Can we give him a full body check?" She looked around Lu Xun's pale face and stopped at his left ear. After thinking for a while, she said to the doctor: "He had an injury to his left ear before, which caused him to lose hearing. I'm afraid that the high fever will have some impact..."

The doctor's face turned serious when he heard this: "Is there still such a situation?"

Lu Xun, who was groggy from a fever, lay on the hospital bed for examination while Jiang Qiao went to pay the bill.

Fortunately, the result was good. Lu Xun had a good foundation, and the accident on his left ear had happened many years ago. It was just a slight inflammation caused by the high fever, which did not cause much impact.

The IV drip needs someone to watch over it.

Jiang Qiao looked at the sick beauty lying alone on the bed and sighed.

Well, who makes her kind-hearted?

Jiang Qiao sat in front of the bed, holding his chin and staring at Lu Xun.

This dog is usually cold and sharp-tongued, but he is much more likable when he lies down and doesn't talk.

He had handsome eyebrows, long eyelashes, and a high nose bridge. Because he was sick, his eyebrows were wrinkled into the shape of a "川" character, and his red lips, which were neither thick nor thin, were tightly pursed.

She stared at him for a long time, and the more she looked, the more itchy she felt. She reached out and pinched his handsome face without any hesitation.

The feel...is so damn good!

Jiang Qiao's hand didn't stop, and the cheek where she pinched turned red. Combined with Lu Xun's aloof look, it was inexplicably funny.

Lu Xun seemed to feel pain while sleeping, and his eyelashes trembled. Jiang Qiao immediately rubbed his eyelashes with a guilty conscience.

Outside the window, fireworks exploded, lighting up thousands of lights. The brilliant lights turned to ashes in just a moment of glory.

Lu Xun suddenly had a high fever, and the doctor suggested that he stay in the hospital for two more days with an IV drip. Jiang Qiao took the initiative to ask for two days off from school for him.

When the school leaders heard that the potential top scorer had fallen ill, they immediately sent a teacher to express their condolences and also brought books and test papers.

Jiang Chao was not the main teacher and had a lot of free time, so he was the one to be sent for condolences.

In the ward, Jiang Chao put aside the beautifully packaged fruit basket and canvas bag of books, and asked politely: "How are you? Do you feel better?"

Lu Xun replied that he felt much better. Jiang Chao nodded and stopped talking.

The atmosphere was inexplicably awkward. Jiang Qiao had no good feelings towards this man who would make him bankrupt in the future, so he found an excuse to buy food and went out.

Lu Xun did not ignore the scrutiny from the new teacher Jiang. He asked distantly, "Teacher Jiang, do you have anything else to say?"

Jiang Chao glanced at the seat where Jiang Qiao had just sat and asked with a smile: "Are you... in love?"

Lu Xun frowned, his pale face looked a little cold: "Are you asking this question from the perspective of a teacher?"

"Well... not really." Jiang Chao smiled and shook his head: "Don't be so vigilant, I'm only a few years older than you."

Under Lu Xun's undisguised scrutiny, he no longer thought of beating around the bush and said directly: "You should have noticed Qingying's feelings for you. I want to know what you think."

"Song Qingying?" Lu Xun replied indifferently, "Not familiar with her."

"Not familiar?" Jiang Chao's expression faded: "Okay, I get it."

He stood up and patted his wrinkled trouser legs: "Student Lu, take good care of yourself."

Lu Xun watched him walk out of the ward, then turned his gaze away indifferently and looked out the window.

I went to buy a meal, and it’s been 20 minutes, but he still hasn’t come back.

On this side, Jiang Chao just came out of the hospital and ran into Jiang Qiao.

She actually bought some food, in big and small bags.

Jiang Chao walked over and said, "Student Jiang Qiao, aren't you going back to school for class?"

"I have to take care of my boyfriend." Jiang Qiao said proudly, with a hint of inexplicable provocation.

Jiang Chao smiled: "You seem to be very hostile to me."

"No." Jiang Qiao said word by word: "Teacher Jiang."

The unhappiness is written all over his face.

Jiang Chao suddenly wanted to tease this pretty fool: "Student Lu Xun said he wanted to go back."

Jiang Qiao: “……………………”

"I don't know what attracts him in school." Jiang Chao's gentle face was innocent: "Do you know?"

Jiang Qiao: “………………”

No, this person...is he seriously ill? !

Jiang Chao didn't seem interested in her answer. He left after asking, leaving Jiang Qiao alone and confused.

It was half an hour later when Jiang Qiao returned to the ward. Lu Xun was sitting on the bed reading a book, looking indifferent and aloof.

Jiang Qiao was furious and snatched his book away. Facing Lu Xun's puzzled look, she said angrily, "Eat!"

Lu Xun pursed his lips and said nothing.

It was said to be three days. On the second day, Lu Xun was almost recovered and went back to school to study.

That evening, Jiang Qiao received a transfer with the note "medical expenses" and some miscellaneous expenses from Lu Xun.

According to her personality, she would not accept it. She hoped that Lu Xun would eat her and use her to fulfill her wish of keeping him. But Jiang Qiao thought about it and still accepted it.

She didn't calculate it deliberately, but she could tell that the money Lu Xun gave her was more than the medical expenses she had paid.

It was estimated that Lu Xun had lost all the salary he had earned from working in the coffee shop over the past month.

Our strong brother is inferior, but he doesn't say it.
