Chapter 7

Chapter 7

The smell in the alley is bad, and the sound insulation is poor. There are people scolding their children and couples quarreling next door.

Lu Xun's expression remained unchanged. He parked his bicycle at the doorstep and locked it.

I took the key out of my pocket and opened the door, revealing the small room. The furniture looked old, and even though it was cleaned very well, it still looked shabby.

The phone was still ringing. Lu Xun frowned and took out his phone. Suddenly, someone knocked on the door loudly, accompanied by a woman's shrill voice.

"Axun, I'm your aunt. I have something to talk to you about. Please open the door first." The knocking on the door was getting louder.

Annoyance flashed across Lu Xun's eyes. He opened the door and blocked the middle-aged woman from entering with his tall body. He said in a distant and polite voice, "Aunt, what's the matter?"

"I called you several times, but you didn't answer," the middle-aged woman said with a look of shrewdness that she couldn't hide: "Your cousin will take the high school entrance exam next year, and you also know Zhao Kai's grades..."

She said confidently: "I still need your help with tutoring."

"I'm busy." Lu Xun didn't like this profit-seeking girl and refused directly.

When the middle-aged woman heard this, her expression changed immediately: "What do you mean you don't have time? You have a holiday on the weekend."

Lu Xun said coldly: "Go get a part-time job."

"I thought so." The woman crossed her arms, no longer as gentle and affectionate as she had been at the beginning: "How about this, aunt, I do love you. You can give your cousin tutoring on weekend afternoons, and I will pay for it, okay?"

She made it sound like she had suffered a great loss when she talked about something that was a matter of course.

Lu Xun stood straight and was silent for a while. He neither agreed nor refused. In the woman's eyes, this was an agreement. She turned around and walked away with contempt.

The weekend arrived quickly, and Jiang Qiao followed the address given by 166 and found Lu Xun in the rest area of the milk tea shop, where he was correcting someone's wrong answers.

Lu Xun still had that cold face, while Zhao Kai sitting opposite him was doing the test paper with an impatient look on his face.

[Lu Xun is… tutoring someone?] Isn’t he a loner with no friends?

[The protagonist’s cousin.], 166 replied.

That's surprising enough. Doesn't the book say that he has a bad relationship with his aunt's family?

Jiang Qiao didn't dwell on this issue. He walked to the milk tea shop, ordered a cup of light fruit tea, walked behind Zhao Kai, and patted his shoulder: "Sorry, please make way. I want to sit here."

Zhao Kai, who was full of hatred and resentment at the test paper, raised his eyebrows and showed a bit of ferocity. After seeing that bright and beautiful face, he held back all the dirty words and stammered in a daze: "Okay...Okay."

"I ordered milk tea." Jiang Qiao raised his chin, handed the receipt to Zhao Kai, and said in a domineering tone: "Wait for it, and bring it to me when it's ready."

Jiang Qiao's eyes were always on Lu Xun, who had a calm expression.

Zhao Kai's mind became a little clearer. He knew that the beauty was not coming for him, but he still couldn't bear to refuse. He glared at his cousin and went to wait for milk tea in a frustrated manner.

Jiang Qiao moved the chair to Lu Xun's side, sat down, and reached out to pull the black pen in Lu Xun's hand.

Lu Xun's fingers paused slightly, then he let go and let her take it.

Jiang Qiao's smile deepened, and he moved closer to him, their breaths meeting.

Lu Xun stood up suddenly, and the chair made a harsh sound when it was pulled against the floor. He strode out of the milk tea shop, and Jiang Qiao followed him out.

He stopped at a corner and stared down at Jiang Qiao's stunningly beautiful face. His voice remained calm: "I told you, I don't like you."

Jiang Qiao frowned, then quickly relaxed his brows, saying indifferently, "So what? I don't care who you like."

"I probably didn't say that..." Jiang Qiao said proudly, "Lu Xun, I like you, you must be with me."

Lu Xun's face turned cold.

Jiang Qiao held her head high, and acted like a spoiled rich girl to the fullest: "Don't be ungrateful. With my looks and family background, so many people begged me to like them, but I didn't want them."

What this means is that you made money.

Lu Xun grabbed her wrist with great force and pressed her against the wall, with a distance of one person between them: "Go to whoever is begging you, no matter what you look like or how powerful your family is," his eyes were cold and intimidating: "I don't care."

He shook off Jiang Qiao's hand and went back to the milk tea shop to pack up.

Zhao Kai held the milk tea carefully, and when he saw him come back, he looked behind him, but didn't see the figure he expected. Just as he was about to question him, he was frightened by Lu Xun's low pressure.

What's going on? Where's the beautiful woman?

No, what should I do with his milk tea?

Zhao Kai was still confused. Seeing Lu Xun pushing the cart to leave, he couldn't hold it in any longer. "Will she come to the tutoring class tomorrow?"

It is obvious who this "she" is.

Lu Xun's gaze was as cold as the coldest day of winter. "I've put my notes in your book. There won't be any more tutoring in the future."

"What do you mean?!" Zhao Kai was anxious: "Didn't you promise my mom that you would pay for the tuition?"

Lu Xun didn’t know what his aunt had exaggerated, but he didn’t care: “No, I came here today to give you the notes. This is all I can do.”

This was as if he was trying to draw a line between himself and his family. Zhao Kai was immediately annoyed: "A broken notebook can offset the kindness of you staying at my house when you were a child?! No wonder my mother always says that you are cold-blooded. You deserve to be alone!"

Lu Xun wanted to leave, but when he heard that, he turned around and looked at him, his eyes cold and calm: "Maybe it's the same lineage." He paused and said: "Are you comfortable spending my parents' compensation?"

It seemed like a casual question, but Zhao Kai was already frozen in place in shock.

The white and slender fingers waved impatiently in front of him for a few times, and he came to his senses and found that it was the "milk tea girl" he had been thinking about.

"Where's Lu Xun?" Jiang Qiao spoke first, asking angrily.

Zhao Kai paused, his expression changed for a few moments: "Let's go..."

Gone, gone again! What a big deal to have long legs, Jiang Qiao complained crazily in his heart.

She thought of something, her expression softened, and she asked Zhao Kai: "You are Lu Xun's cousin, you must know him well, right?"

Zhao Kai hesitated whether to shake his head, so Jiang Qiao asked tentatively: "Then do you know what type of girls he likes? Or who has he mentioned to you?"

Zhao Kai: “…………No”

Tch, boring.

Jiang Qiao was a little disappointed that he didn't hear Song Qingying's name.

"Then... you should know where he lives."

"…………Know."

After asking Zhao Kai about Lu Xun's residence, Jiang Qiao came up with a new idea.
