Qi Siling listened to his story, and her heart ached. She thought about how helpless she must have been when she came to this strange era alone.
"She's a good girl, don't let her down." Cao An looked at him seriously again. "If you ever stop liking her, just give her back to me. I'll take care of her for the rest of her life."
"I won't." Qi Siling sat up, "I won't give you this chance, but you can protect her together!"
Cao An put away his serious expression and looked at him with amusement. "I'm not that inconsiderate. I'm her family, so I'll naturally supervise you. Just treat her well."
"I would have done it even if you didn't tell me!" He lay down again. "How did she get to this era?"
"She drank a potion given by her parents, fell asleep, and woke up in a different body, becoming Liu Daya of the Red Star Brigade. Qi Siling breathed a sigh of relief. She called out several times but received no response, and thought something had happened to her inside.
"Youyou, are you okay?" I was a little worried about her. She was sleeping so soundly. Could she be sick?
"I'm fine, what's wrong?" He didn't want to move, so he pulled the quilt over his head.
Her voice was hoarse and unclear. "Auntie is calling you to eat. Get up and eat something."
Qi Siling had to stick his whole body to the door panel to hear clearly.
Xia Youyou was woken up and felt a little annoyed, so she simply got up and opened the door.
Hearing the sound of footsteps inside, Qi Siling stood up straight. Seeing her staring at her messy hair while opening the door, he felt amused.
"I don't want to eat. Tell mom. She knows me. I don't want to eat when I'm tired!"
Seeing that she was barefoot, he quickly went forward, picked her up by the waist and carried her to the bed.
"Why aren't you wearing any clothes or shoes? What if you're sick?" He tucked her into the warm bed and tucked her in. He then touched her forehead to make sure she didn't have a fever.
"Are you tired?"
Xia Youyou nodded sleepily, "I'll be fine after a night's sleep." Her body was still too weak and she couldn't stand any fatigue!
Qi Siling bent down and kissed her forehead lovingly, whispering softly in her ear, "Then go to sleep. I'll ask Auntie to save some food for you."
She reached out a hand, grasped the big hand beside the pillow, and rubbed it against her face.
He felt incredibly soft inside, a feeling of being relied upon by her. Thinking back to what Cao An had said earlier, he couldn't resist her action. He carefully laid down on the edge of her bed, and held her in his arms. "Are you really not hungry?" Seeing her shake her head firmly, he hugged her tightly.
"Go to sleep. I'll wait until you fall asleep before I leave."
Xia Youyou smelled the crisp bamboo scent on him and thought of the small bamboo forest in his yard, thinking that he must have picked it up from there.
Xia Youyou was sleeping soundly and didn't know when Qi Siling left. She only felt numb and itchy on her face, so she left the warm embrace.
When she woke up the next day, it was already bright and no one came to wake her. She glanced at the clock on the wall and saw it was already ten o'clock! She had slept for so long, no wonder her stomach was empty!
I didn't even have time to brush my teeth or wash my face. I took out a box of milk to fill my stomach first, and then I felt refreshed.
Qi Siling, who was outside, heard the noise inside and knocked on the door.
"Youyou, are you awake?"
He came early in the morning and when he opened the door he saw her sleeping soundly, so he didn't disturb her and let her sleep until now.
"Wake up, let me get dressed." Afraid that he would suddenly come in, she shrank back into the quilt.
A muffled laugh came from the doorway. "Get dressed first. I'll go to the kitchen to heat up breakfast for you and get you some water to wash up."
As the footsteps faded away, Xia Youyou breathed a sigh of relief. What was it like to be woken up by your boyfriend? It was embarrassing! What was it like to be found out by your boyfriend that you like to sleep in? Too embarrassing!

When Qi Siling came in with hot water, she saw the little girl struggling with her messy hair.

Xia Youyou's heart trembled, and she softened in his arms. The man's low chuckle sounded behind her, making her angry and wanting to break free.
"Be good, don't move, I'll hold you for a while." He dreamed of her all night and she came to him early in the morning.
There was a hot breath beside her ears, and Xia Youyou shrank her neck uncomfortably. When she woke up, it seemed like a dream yesterday. She didn't know how she suddenly had a boyfriend.
"Did you sleep well?" Qi Siling carefully observed her expression, and only let her go after confirming that nothing was wrong. He poured out the water from the kettle, soaked the towel in it, wrung it out, and handed it to her, "Do you want me to wash you?"
Xia Youyou rolled her eyes at him, grabbed the towel and wiped it on her face. After wiping, she handed it to him, took out the teeth whitening device from the space and held it in her mouth, trying to take the comb back from his hand.
Qi Siling looked at what was in her mouth curiously, avoided her hand, and took her to sit on the stool in front of the table.
"I'll help you comb your hair."
Xia Youyou looked back at him doubtfully, her eyes seeming to say, "Can you?"
"If you don't know how, I'll learn. I'll learn it eventually!" After we get married, I can help her comb her hair every day.
