When Cao An arrived at the scrap yard exhausted, the mother and daughter were just about to go home.
"Mom, sister." She called out to the two people who were about to lock the door.
They both turned around at the same time, their faces filled with joy.
"Brother~ I've been waiting for you for a long time!"
"Eanzi, did you run far today?" Liu Hui took a handkerchief with a bit of heartache and wanted to wipe the dust off his face.
Cao An took the handkerchief and wiped it off himself. "I didn't run far. I just stayed in the fields for a long time, so it got stained with dust."
Xia Youyou reopened the door and said, "Brother, come in and see something."
Liu Hui made way for Cao An with amusement. "She took in a sewing machine today, and I fixed it. I've been waiting for you to come back and fix the pedal for her." She waited until so late that the sun had already set.

Xia Youyou watched him repair things smoothly, thought of what happened in the morning, and reported to him in a low voice.

The three of them were cooking in the kitchen before Cao An analyzed the situation with Xia Youyou.

A few days later, Xia Youyou and Liu Hui continued to guard the scrap yard as usual. Cao An went to visit a friend that day, but as he expected, he couldn't get any information out of him. There was definitely something fishy going on, and Xia Youyou explained it clearly to the black market, so things remained peaceful for a few days.
When Cao An came back in the evening, he said that he had received a call from Qi Siling in the morning and would come to Baoshi to pick up the goods the next night.
Xia Youyou was a little worried. She always felt like there were a pair of eyes staring at her in the dark, and she felt a little uneasy.
Cao An rubbed her little head, noticing her uneasiness. "Don't worry, we're not shipping at the scrap yard at night. They can't find us there."
Xia Youyou was still worried, so she suppressed the discomfort in her heart and nodded, "I understand."
That day, Cao An went looking for Yan Er but couldn't find him. Yan Da said he hadn't seen him in a long time, and his family also said they didn't know where he had gone. Normally, if someone disappeared, they should have reported him missing, but they didn't think to do so. With a heavy heart, Cao An left the Yan family.
Time passed slowly, like the dawn before darkness, with an eerie silence.
On the night she had an appointment with Qi Siling and the others, Xia Youyou's heart was beating irregularly and even medicine didn't help.
Cao An didn't want her to follow him and wanted to go deliver the goods on her own, but she shook her head and sat on the back of his bicycle. He had no choice but to take her out of the city.
It was late, almost eleven at night, and the entire city was quiet. Only a bicycle sped through the alley and onto the main road.
There was a whistling sound in Xia Youyou's ears. She felt a little cold, so she wrapped her clothes tightly and moved closer to Cao An's back.
Cao An noticed her nervousness and teased her, "The night pearl that Qi Siling gave you last time was not broken, right? He seemed very nervous about that night pearl!" When he was teasing Xia Youyou, he clearly felt the tension in Qi Siling's body when the night pearl was thrown up.
"I guess it has some history." Xia Youyou also noticed it and deliberately tossed it in front of him for fun. Thinking of Qi Siling's nervous expression that she couldn't bear to look at, she chuckled.
The sudden appearance of a girl's silvery laughter on the empty road was strangely eerie. If anyone else were there, they would probably be frightened. And as it turned out, in the darkness, someone was indeed frightened enough to nearly run away.
The two of them chatted and laughed as they left the city, Cao An teasing her all the way. Xia Youyou no longer felt as nervous as before, and laughed at herself for becoming so timid. If there really was a problem, then they would just deal with it as it came.
When they arrived at the cabin, Qi Siling and Xiao Hai's car had not yet arrived. The brother and sister just stood in front of the cabin waiting.
Cao An wanted to go in and put out the food first, and Xia Youyou followed him in.
Soon, faint lights appeared on the official road in the distance, and then the roar of cars came from the empty fields. The brother and sister looked at each other and left the house together.
The car was wobbling because of the potholes on the road. Qi Siling saw two figures, one large and one small, standing in front of the house. He stepped on the accelerator and the car accelerated significantly. Xiao Hai grabbed the handrail and couldn't help but complain, "Brother Qi, you can't wait to see your little lover!"
Qi Siling rolled his eyes at him, then relaxed his pace and slowed down.
After the car stopped, Xia Youyou ran to the front of the car and greeted the two of them.
"Why are you so late? What happened on the way?" We had agreed to meet at 12 o'clock, and it was almost 1 o'clock now.
Qi Siling opened the driver's door, got out, and walked toward her. After not seeing her for a while, the little girl looked even more charming and delicate, and seemed to have grown a bit taller. It was true; spring was here, a time for growth.

"What's delicious?" Qi Siling walked beside Xia Youyou and looked down at her smiling eyes.
Xia Youyou looked up and met his dark eyes, thinking that he was becoming more and more handsome. After not seeing him for a few days, he seemed to have lost some of his cold aura, and the smile on his lips was a bit affectionate.
She curled her lips playfully and smiled mysteriously, "You'll know when you go in. It can't be poisonous!"
Qi Siling's smile widened. "I don't mind if you poison me to death."
Xia Youyou was captivated by his unbridled smile and stood there in a daze.
