Xia Youyou was safe and sound throughout her pregnancy under Qi Siling's meticulous care.
Qi Siling was afraid of accidents, so she checked into the obstetrics and gynecology department of the hospital where Na Ru worked a week in advance.
While everyone was waiting anxiously, there was no movement in Xia Youyou's stomach.
Qi Siling leaned against the hospital bed, holding Xia Youyou in her arms, but her hands were playing with the little guy in her belly who refused to come out, "Little guy, come out quickly, don't bother your mother!"
Xia Youyou smiled, but her face didn't look good. Her heart was still too heavy, and she could often feel her heartbeat speeding up and her chest feeling tight and short of breath.
Qi Siling has always been with her. Even when he is not around, she has hired a confinement nanny from Hong Kong to ensure that there is always someone by her side.
The little guy in Xia Youyou's belly moved, as if kicking Qi Siling's hand with its feet.
Qi Siling ignored the kick and moved his hand to Xia Youyou's little face. Seeing her looking a little thin, he became even more panicked.
He had seen her look when she was pregnant. At that time, she was much rounder than before she was pregnant. Why did she look thinner when she came to Xia Youyou?
Looking at the bulge in the quilt, even her belly is smaller than that of an average pregnant woman!
Xia Youyou often comforted him, saying that the fetus was small and it would be easier to give birth!
But he didn't believe it! Judging from her expression, although she didn't get sick during her pregnancy, she suffered a lot.
An earlier threatened miscarriage had left her bedridden for three months. Three months later, when she finally managed to get out of bed, she vomited violently again! After enduring morning sickness, her belly swelled even further, putting pressure on her already weakened heart.
Xia Youyou took the scan and told him that there would be no danger, but how could he not be worried!
Perhaps the only good news is that the baby in her belly is healthy, and Xia Youyou is very relieved about this.
She was also worried that congenital heart disease would be passed on to the baby in her belly.
The scan results were good, so she felt relieved and waited for the baby to be born.
She knew that giving birth was a test of life, especially for her condition, so she sternly refused Qi Siling's request to go into the delivery room.
Qi Siling agreed verbally, but when the time really came, how could he possibly sit back and watch outside the delivery room?
Xia Youyou's stomach tightened, and she knew that this was the contraction that Na Ru had told her about.
She gathered her thoughts and sat up, supporting herself on the man's chest. "Brother Qi, help me up and walk around."
Qi Siling thought she wanted to go to the bathroom, so he quickly lifted her up and leaned her weight against him.
Xia Youyou didn't go anywhere. She held his wrist tightly and paced back and forth.
Qi Siling put his arms around her back, holding her waist, and felt her originally soft belly suddenly tighten.
"Youyou, are you having contractions?" He suddenly became very angry. She was willing to tell anything!
Xia Youyou's stomach felt tight, but it didn't hurt.
She leaned against him softly, looked up and smiled, "Don't be so nervous, okay? I'm not in any pain, it's just normal late pregnancy contractions. Didn't we read the book before? My water hasn't broken yet!"
"You don't tell me anything..." Qi Siling felt aggrieved, but couldn't bear to be angry with her.
"I'm keeping track of the time. From just now until now, the interval between contractions has been three minutes. It's still early for birth!"
Qi Siling knew that what she said was true, but that didn’t mean she wouldn’t be nervous!
He held her steady as she walked, and with his other hand he pulled out his cell phone to report to his family.
Cao An was in the company at the time. After receiving the call, he quickly explained the situation to Xiao Hai and drove back to the manor. On the way, he asked his mother to prepare food and wait for him to pick her up.
He gripped the steering wheel tightly with his nervous hands, feeling that this time was even more stressful than when he gave birth!
When I accompanied Na Ru into the delivery room, Na Ru clenched her hands tightly, screaming in pain, and her muscular hands were squeezed purple. You can imagine how painful it was!
If I were in good health, I wouldn't have been in so much pain at the time.
As for Xia Youyou, she was weak, small, had a bad heart, and was much thinner during pregnancy than before. Looking at her huge belly, he was worried that it would explode one day!
Cao An was so worried that he could hardly sleep at night.
Xia Youyou's belly is a time bomb, and it has finally entered the countdown.
After picking up Liu Hui and Chenchen, Cao An drove to the hospital.
Chenchen felt everyone's nervousness and was being extra well-behaved today.
When they arrived at the hospital and saw their aunt's frail face, Chenchen went up to her and grabbed her clothes tightly.
Xia Youyou endured a contraction, smiled, lowered her head and touched Chenchen's little head, "Chenchen, don't panic, auntie is fine."
Chenchen didn't say anything, but the worry in his eyes was obvious. He was five years old and already knew what it meant to have a child. Looking at his aunt's big belly, his little heart was deeply shaken.
Cao An and Qi Siling supported her on both sides. The petite Xia Youyou was so weak between the two big men that their hearts ached!
Liu Hui and the confinement nanny were preparing things for the delivery room when they heard messy footsteps approaching in the corridor outside.
It was Na Ru who came with the director of obstetrics and gynecology.
"Get on the stretcher and go to the delivery room." The doctor asked about the contraction time and said while touching Xia Youyou's belly.
Qi Siling picked up Xia Youyou and placed her on a trolley nearby. She and Cao An accompanied her to the delivery room.
Na Ru held her son and followed behind with Liu Hui on her arm.
Liu Hui wiped her tears in panic, and unconsciously tightened her grip on the hand she was holding.
"Mom, don't worry, Youyou will be fine! The director told me that she will do her best. If anything goes wrong, she will perform a cesarean section in time."
Liu Hui panicked even more. "Isn't a cesarean section even more dangerous? How can someone survive if they cut into the stomach?"
