Lingshan was furious when he learned that Jin Chanzi had reincarnated and abandoned Buddhism to pursue Taoism.
The Buddhas immediately lost their composure and went into a rage.
On that day, the Buddha was preaching Buddhism, but he gave up Zen and left, and immediately summoned the relevant candidates for the journey to the West to obtain Buddhist scriptures.
Tathagata Zen Temple.
The people involved in the journey to the West have gathered, and they almost cover all the powerful figures in Lingshan, or they are all famous people.
Among the Eighteen Arhats, who are famous figures in the mortal world, only Jianglong and Fuhu have become venerable ones here and have a place at the bottom. Others are not qualified to come here.
After that, it was the five great Bodhisattvas, but Manjushri Bodhisattva was injured and has not recovered yet, so he did not appear.
There are also Medicine Buddha, Maitreya Buddha, Dipamkara Buddha, as well as Kashyapa, Ananda, Guanyin Bodhisattva and others, all here.
Some come late, some come early.
Those who arrived late were Guanyin and others who were far away. They rushed over in a hurry after receiving the news.
Everyone took their seats one after another, looking at Tathagata nervously, waiting for him to speak.
Tathagata looked around and did not show the anger that the other Buddhas had imagined. He was even unusually calm, his expression normal.
Picking up a flower, she smiled and said, "You all know about Jin Chanzi's abandonment of Buddhism to cultivate Taoism, right?"
The Buddhas nodded.
Tathagata said, "Two hundred years ago, Jin Chanzi behaved badly. He fell asleep while I was teaching Buddhism. When he woke up, he said that my Buddha was different from Amitabha Buddha. He was very obsessed with it, as if he was possessed. I punished him to go down to the mortal world to experience training. It has been two hundred years since then, and this is his fourth life."
The Buddhas are silent. This is a fact and they all know it.
Only Dipamkara Buddha and Maitreya Buddha had smiles on their faces, their expressions normal, but there was a flash of disdain in the depths of their eyes.
They all became monks late in life, just like Tathagata, who joined Buddhism later in life and then gained a high status.
They all wanted to become the top leader of Buddhism, but Tathagata was already the top leader, which made them very unhappy.
but.
Although they were unhappy, they did not show it, and even showed great support and support for Tathagata.
At least, that's what it seems.
Even if Tathagata knew that they were insincere, he could not say much, and even had to pretend to be nice to them.
Both of them became Tathagata's disciples late in life, so they felt that what Tathagata said was a bit false.
Jin Chanzi was not a person of bad character at all, nor was he discussing Buddhism with Tathagata. He felt that Tathagata's Dharma was different from the Buddha taught by Amitabha Buddha.
Instead, there was a conflict between Jin Chanzi's philosophy and that of Buddha Tathagata.
Jin Chanzi firmly believed that a pure Buddha must be purely good. If he was not kind enough, he could not be considered a true Buddha.
At the same time, Jin Chanzi does not agree with Buddhist theories such as "put down the butcher knife and become a Buddha instantly", which are completely unfair to ordinary people.
Another thing is that Jin Chanzi believes that Buddhism should truly be a place where all beings are equal, including those within their own sect.
In fact, the others are easy to explain. They are just excuses used by Buddhism to attract external believers. However, the latter one, which intends to promote true equality among all beings within Buddhism, is considered by them to be heresy.
Respecting teachers and honoring the teachings has been something that everyone should abide by since ancient times, whether it is Buddhism or Taoism.
If the master-disciple relationship is also equal, then Arhats can be compared with the Buddha, and novice monks can be on par with the Buddha. Wouldn't that be a mess!?
Tathagata couldn't stand this, because he was the top leader, how could he let others sit on the throne in the main hall with him! ?
Therefore.
This argument alone is enough for the Buddha to banish Jin Chanzi to the mortal world.
I originally wanted to beat that unfilial man to death, but that would be too embarrassing.
Secondly, Jin Chanzi is his disciple, and his talent and potential are among the best in Buddhism.
In addition, there is the opportunity of obtaining Buddhist scriptures in the West, so he plans to take advantage of it. If he can deal with Jin Chanzi and win over a group of people who are destined to suffer the calamity, the power of Buddhism will be further enhanced.
Others can make a fortune by taking advantage of the journey to obtain Buddhist scriptures, but Tathagata can use this to consolidate his position and protect his Buddhist teachings.
Just think about it, if he could completely subdue Jin Chanzi, the person who opposed him the most, would anyone else still question him?
The journey to obtain Buddhist scriptures can be said to kill two birds with one stone, and the transformation of Jin Chanzi can also achieve multiple goals at one stroke.
Tathagata said, "Golden Chanzi is a heretic and his words are rebellious. I never thought that he would be reincarnated and still be so rebellious."
Everyone nodded, and Guanyin said, "Please punish me, Buddha, for not taking good care of him."
Dipamkara Buddha, Maitreya Buddha, and Medicine Buddha are all people who want to fight for power and profit, especially the second-in-command Dipamkara Buddha and the third-in-command Maitreya Buddha. They are from the same lineage as Tathagata, but they are not as good as Tathagata and want more power.
If they can defeat Guanyin, Tathagata's lackey, and take over the cause of obtaining the scriptures, Tathagata's majesty will be destroyed, and their position in Lingshan will be further consolidated.
but.
They wouldn't kick someone when they're down at this moment, otherwise it would be too obvious.
Therefore, Dipankara Buddha said: "Buddha, Guanyin Bodhisattva is just busy and can't take care of it. It is not her fault. Please don't punish her."
Maitreya Buddha also spoke up, saying, "Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva has too many things to take care of. Her mount was also killed, and now she's busy helping with rebirth, so she has no time to care about anything else. The fault lies with her."
The two of them bowed, clasped their hands together, and said, "Amitabha, Buddha has mercy on us, please don't blame her!"
Both of them spoke, and the others also spoke.
They were also speaking well of Guanyin Bodhisattva, but this made Guanyin's face look a little ugly. There was a hint of anger in her eyes as she swept over Dipankara and Maitreya.
