Shachen chuckled and said, "Mileku, are you playing dumb?"
"When did I ever promise that? Who are you? You can just let me out and open the door if I ask you to?"
Maitreya Buddha said: "If you don't keep your promise, you will suffer backlash."
Sha Chen sneered, "You killed innocent people indiscriminately, why don't you say you're facing backlash?"
"Remember, I have nothing to do with you. As for your reason for asking me to leave, it's even more ridiculous. If Tathagata can't do it, what qualifications do you think you have to do it!?"
Maitreya Buddha was furious and snorted coldly, "The catastrophe of the Journey to the West is about to come. Everything is already in place. Even if you can't come out, you should move away, because you are blocking the way to obtain the scriptures."
Shachen said, "Don't be ridiculous. If you want to go to the West to obtain the scriptures, you can either take a detour, or I can help them temporarily freeze the Quicksand River so they can pass through."
Maitreya Buddha said: "The Journey to the West has eighty-one calamities, and every one of them must be present. In your position, you must overcome one calamity. If you can get through it safely, what calamity does it count as?"
His eyes flickered as he spoke, "If you don't want to join Buddhism, that's fine. However, you must cooperate with us and give the pilgrims a test, and then help them safely cross the Quicksand River. Your presence is unnecessary for this matter. It's good for you, for me, and for everyone else."
Shachen laughed.
Even laughed to tears.
"I discovered that the host has been asked by the great fortune-teller Maitreya Buddha to cooperate, becoming a calamity for Buddhism. You have the following choices."
"Choice 1: Agree to Maitreya Buddha's request and receive the reward [Boundary Breaking Hammer]. Boundary Breaking Hammer: A copper hammer formed by the power of Buddhist vows, capable of breaking through the void."
"Choice 2: Reject Maitreya Buddha's request and receive the reward [Divine Power: Buddha Lotus Karma Fire]. Buddha Lotus Karma Fire: One of the three thousand ancient divine powers, it can burn the red thread of cause and effect."
"Choice Three: Ignore Maitreya Buddha's request and drive him away to receive the reward [Innate Spiritual Root - Bodhi Tree]. Bodhi Tree: A Bodhi tree born during the prehistoric times. It's rumored that Bodhi trees are divided into yin and yang. The yang tree gave rise to the Sage Zhunti, while the yin tree has been wandering the Three Realms. There is a Bodhi tree on Lingshan Mountain that is a branch of the yin tree."
