"I discovered that the host was asked by Tathagata Buddha to jointly formulate the rules of Journey to the West. You have the following choices."
"Choose one: Agree to the Tathagata Buddha to jointly formulate the Journey to the West tribulation and receive the reward [Buddhist Merit]. Buddhist Merit: The Buddhist sect has countless followers and many disciples. The merit and faith accumulated by Buddhist followers through their good deeds can be refined, with a certain chance of becoming a saint."
"Choose two, reject the Tathagata Buddha's request and receive the reward [Shiva World Telekinesis]. Shiva World Telekinesis: Buddhism has three thousand great worlds and three thousand small worlds. Among them, the Shiva World is a large world abandoned by Buddhism. It contains many distracting thoughts of Buddhists, and is therefore the hell of Buddhist monks."
A smile appeared on Shachen's lips. It turned out that Tathagata really had great luck!
In just a short moment, he was able to make a choice again.
However, there is no need to hesitate about this choice. It is impossible for Shachen to leave the Liusha River, and it is even more impossible for him to cooperate with Buddhism and create the so-called Journey to the West catastrophe.
He disdains to associate with those who hide behind the scenes to control the world and think they know everything and can do everything.
Moreover, the Buddhist Journey to the West catastrophe was originally intended to target him. Now he is also the planner. Once he really does this, it is very likely that he will really collude with Buddhism.
By then, he will be truly tied to Buddhism, and it will be impossible for him to break away from it.
Even if he said at that time that he had nothing to do with Buddhism, no one would believe him.
We seem to be cooperating with him, but in fact we want to swallow him up.
What's more, if we cooperate with Buddhism and jointly formulate the rules of Journey to the West, we will not be able to remain immune and stay out of it.
Everything that is involved will definitely have its consequences.
He didn't want to get into trouble, and even more so, he didn't want to have anything to do with Buddhism, so there was no way he would agree to come out.
Sha Chen said, "I appreciate the Buddha's kindness. However, the catastrophe of the Journey to the West was caused and facilitated by Buddhism. It would be inappropriate for me to reap the benefits halfway."
Tathagata said: "Don't worry, fellow Daoist. If you join us, it will only make the Journey to the West more complete and the cause and effect of the Journey to the West more powerful. This is a mutually beneficial situation. There is no such thing as picking fruits halfway."
The ancient Buddha Ran Deng was standing nearby and nodded, saying, "Buddha is merciful and is willing to join hands with fellow Taoists to create a perfect Journey to the West."
Sha Chen laughed heartily: "The two Supreme Beings really think highly of me. The Journey to the West catastrophe is not something a small person like me can handle."
"You two should go back. As for inviting me to come out of seclusion, asking me to formulate the Journey to the West catastrophe or participate in it, there is no need to say these words anymore."
Tathagata and the other man looked at each other, their eyes flickering, as if they had already anticipated that Shachen might say such a thing.
but.
They did not intend to give up. Tathagata continued, "Daoyou's strength is obvious to all. I'm afraid that even I may not be your opponent."
"So fellow Daoist, there's no need to underestimate yourself, and there's no need to think of yourself as a nobody. This is truly embarrassing for us."
Sha Chen chuckled and said, "To the Buddhist sect, I am indeed a nobody."
"Even if I had some strength, it would only be used to protect myself, and even that might not be enough. Not to mention using it to control other people's lives and formulate the so-called Journey to the West catastrophe rules."
Tathagata wanted to say more, but Shachen's expression changed and he said coldly, "I told you, I have no interest in your Journey to the West catastrophe. I don't want to get involved, nor do I want to be used by you. Please go back."
Tathagata and the other one had never expected that Shachen would turn against them so suddenly and so ruthlessly.
But they were not angry. After all, they were old monsters who had lived for countless years and had seen all kinds of storms.
Dust has the capital to get angry, and also the ability to turn against you.
They had even anticipated worse situations, but they also understood that Shachen, who had turned his back on them, probably really didn't want to join them.
But they just can't accept this situation.
Tathagata said, "Fellow Daoist, why don't you listen to the benefits of joining forces with us? It would be too arbitrary to refuse directly."
Without waiting for Shachen to speak, he continued, "As long as you join forces with us to formulate the rules of the Journey to the West, you don't need to participate in it. You just need to let your followers act as obstacles in these disasters."
"They will suffer the calamity for you, and they will also be able to gain benefits from it. In the end, you will be the one who benefits the most. When the time comes, the merits of Buddhism will be bestowed upon you, and you may even have the opportunity to attain sainthood."
Tathagata continued to speak to himself, "This way, you can sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labor without even leaving the house. This does not change your initial caution or your original intention."
After saying this, he looked at Shachen quietly, waiting for Shachen's reply.
In fact, he was full of confidence in what he said. Shachen was an extremely greedy man. He let his followers work hard outside while he hid in the cave and enjoyed the fruits of their labor.
This proposal is definitely impossible to refuse, after all, it is safe and has many benefits.
But Shachen sneered and shook his head without hesitation: "I told you to go back, didn't you hear me?"
Tathagata was stunned, looking surprised: "You refused?"
He really couldn't understand why Shachen would refuse, and how he could refuse.
This proposal has no disadvantages and only benefits for Shachen, and it is also a huge concession for Buddhism.
Of course, Buddhism has also gained a lot of benefits. Even the momentum created by its overt or covert cooperation with Shachen can enable Buddhism to gain even more benefits.
No matter what, this is a mutually beneficial decision for both parties, and Shachen has no reason to refuse.
But he just refused without any thought or hesitation.
Tathagata said: "Why don't you think deeply about it? If you continue to stay here, how can you make progress?"
"Without merit, you cannot find peace and security; without faith, you cannot attain sainthood. Only by cooperating with us can you make progress and have the opportunity to achieve sainthood."
Shachen smiled and said, "That's just your wishful thinking. I don't intend to become a saint through merit, or rather, I don't intend to take advantage of your Buddhist merits."
Tathagata said: "You are staying here, without faith, without merit, and without a place to settle down. How can you become a saint?"
Shachen said, "Don't worry about what will happen to me. In short, you just need to remember one thing: leave here and don't bother me again."
Tathagata and the ancient Buddha looked at each other again, and their expressions had changed from solemn and calm at the beginning to cold and impatient.
The ancient Buddha said, "I've already said that talking to him is useless. Only physical force can make him surrender."
Tathagata said: "I have always said that we should use courtesy before force. Now that reasoning and the principles are not working, I have no choice but to use fists."
