Chapter 113 Adventure (Part 2)

The stone knight with his sword at the ready slowly stood up.

[Password. Refusal to answer will be considered an intrusion and will be dealt with severely.]

Count down to ten. Ten, nine...

A deep rumbling sound came from the opposite side, followed by a powerful pressure that seemed to compress the atmosphere.

"What's going on?!"

Miyuki quickly took two steps back, her gaze falling on the spot where she had just been hit, her pupils trembling in disbelief.

Even such a powerful attack only shattered a small piece of stone. In fact, as the statue awakened, even the small piece of stone that was missing was slowly growing back, as if it had never caused any damage.

[8.7...]

The countdown continued, and the pressure in the air intensified. Even taking just a step closer, one could feel the suffocating pain as if all the air in one's lungs was being expelled.

“The spells inscribed on the surface of that golem are [Wound Resistance] and [Damage Repair],” I quickly answered Miyuki’s question as Hikari retreated into the passage for refuge, and began rummaging through the gaps in my pockets for anything useful. “In other words, if you don’t inflict enough damage in a short time, everything will slowly repair itself over the next few hours until it’s all back to normal.”

[Six, Five...]

"What should we do then?!"

Returning empty-handed once again, Miyuki's expression grew anxious: "We don't know what the password is! Were your little tricks even useful?"

“Spells can be resisted! We’re at a disadvantage right now!” I replied. “We can only try to exhaust its magic or complete the rapid dismemberment.”

"But a more reasonable approach is to break through its outer shell and extract its core!"

【three. 】

"What's the core?"

"I don't know, I'm looking for it. My senses are currently blocked from the outside and can't penetrate deep inside. However, under normal circumstances, I recommend you prioritize attacking the head or chest, but be careful of situations with multiple cores."

【two. 】

"Understood! I'll try to act as both bait and the main attacker. You need to confirm the key positions and let me know as soon as possible!"

【one. 】

As the final pronouncement faded, a brief silence followed, and then an even more intense pressure erupted outwards from the knight statue.

With just one step, the hard stone ground cracked open, creating waves like crashing waves.

Time's up.

The intruders shall be put to trial.

The statue raised its right hand, which was holding the giant sword, and then quickly brought it down, as if it were wielding something light without any effort. The slight movement of the hilt brought a strong impact.

The trajectory of the greatsword was difficult to discern; all that remained was a chilling gray or dark shadow.

It was as if a hundred-foot-high tidal wave was crashing down on you, with the scent of death following you everywhere.

A deafening roar followed immediately.
