Chapter 128 Night Talk
As it turns out, it's a good thing I didn't involve Miyuki when making the decision.
But this is also a bad decision.
Needless to say, this guy was clearly someone who didn't care about gender differences at all. After hearing Annie's request, he didn't stop for a moment and went straight into my room. He forcefully dragged me back as I was about to open the window to escape, and questioned why I didn't want to sleep with them.
Please! Is this a question of whether or not we want to sleep together?!
This is clearly a question that is closely related to each other's chastity!
All three girls have their own strengths, and it's just too dangerous no matter how you look at it.
And why does it seem like I'm the only one who cares among the group? That's so strange!
"Why didn't we have this problem back at the Sacred Tree Stronghold? Weren't we all sleeping together then?"
What do you mean we all sleep together?
Can being forced to stay in the same ward afterward really be considered sleeping together?! Especially with two beds on either side for extra surveillance!
"...If you are worried about multiple people sharing a room, I can secretly keep an eye on your movements at night."
Even An, whose signal was bad the whole way, emerged from the shadows at just the right moment, slowly rising to the surface. He offered his suggestion indifferently, then turned and disappeared back into the shadows beside the wall, thus expanding his range of use... How long has this guy been watching this farce?
Damn, these guys are so hard to communicate with.
I was practically carried over by these guys in the end.
After much struggle, I managed to get them to agree to let me bring the recliner over as well, just to keep a certain distance between us.
Upon hearing the news, Annie instantly perked up from her sullen mood, as if she had finally achieved something remarkable, raising her arms in celebration and running around the cabin several times, almost getting kicked over by the resting Pegasus.
Ai An's reaction was surprisingly calm, as if it were nothing. She turned around, went back into the house, brought out a bundle of bedding, spread it out in the corner, and sat cross-legged on it, calmly flipping through a book. Her neck was noticeably red, clearly from embarrassment.
The only large room in the cabin, which also served as the dining room, was chosen as the place for everyone to rest tonight.
After pushing the dining table over, folding its four corners, placing it against the wall and securing it with soft velvet, and moving the obstructive chairs to a nearby empty room, a warm and spacious bedroom is created simply by adding a stone wall.
"Perhaps the people who built this building originally intended it to be this way!"
Hikari, who had changed into her fluffy pajamas early, hugged Alice and leaned close to the fireplace, her little face glowing red in the firelight shining through the glass.
Miyuki nodded in agreement, "Who knows? If I have the chance to see that senior again, I should ask him."
"Isn't that unnecessary..."
"Why don't we ask that senior if they have any plans to build more ancillary facilities!" Before I could finish speaking, Annie, who was full of enthusiasm, interrupted me. "I've heard that hot spring hotels want more than just hot springs and hotels; they also want this and that, as well as services that include selling delicious food!"
I immediately chopped this guy in the hand: "What you've heard is a tradition passed down from the people of the country across the river from Yongzhi Kingdom in the old days! It's too ancient!"
"Waaah... You actually hit me... I... I'm going to fight you to the death!"
Then came a chaotic scene.
Perhaps it was excitement, or perhaps it was because they were all still quite familiar with each other, but even though they were suddenly put together in one room, no one showed any obvious signs of sleepiness or estrangement. Even Anne, who had first proposed the idea, remained wide awake, even pulling out the playing cards she had lost so many times before, proudly raising her chin, indicating that her right hand was now blessed with extremely strong luck, and that she would surely win every battle in the future.
...And sure enough, they lost miserably again.
I suggest this girl stay away from things that involve gambling in the future, because the outcome is already tragically predetermined.
After thanking Hikari for the grapefruit milk juice, Annie, who was staring at her hand with a melancholy expression, suddenly looked up at the magic stone lamp emitting a faint light nearby. After pondering for a few seconds, she quickly spoke up cheerfully again: "Sure enough, it's more fun to be with more people late at night."
“But then you won’t be able to get up tomorrow,” I reminded him.
"No way! I already said I couldn't wake up today because I had a nightmare!" Annie snapped, instinctively taking the warm milk handed to her and gulping it down before belatedly frowning. "Why is it warm milk?"
"Sister Yao said that warm milk helps with sleep and growth."
“I’m not short…” Annie muttered, quickly pouring the milky white liquid from the glass into her mouth.
I chuckled twice, noticing the girl's discrepancy between her words and her true feelings, and continued the previous topic: "Isn't it said that you're more likely to wake up when you have nightmares? I think you might actually wake up earlier in those situations."
"...Can't I go back to sleep for a while?!"
I nodded: "Okay, that explains why you were the last one to get up today."
"No, no way! I'll definitely get up earlier than you tomorrow!"
Angered, Annie threw down her hand, confirming her complete defeat, burrowed into the covers, remained silent for two seconds, grunted, and turned away from them.
It took me a lot of effort to stop the smile that was spreading across my face.
