Chapter 135 Two people who stayed in bed...

Looking around, the slightly messy bunks were scattered to my left, right, and above me. The left side and above me were empty. Judging from the lingering warmth, they had just left. Judging from the remaining scent, the one a little further away on the left was Fukatsu's, while the one closer above me was that of the silly little Hikari who likes to curl up in her sleep.

Now, the problem is on my right.

Not to mention that Anna was sleeping in an extremely unladylike position; she even looked like a small octopus, clinging tightly to my arm and refusing to let go—she was completely anesthetized!

I tried to get up but was restrained. I tried to gently push her away, but all I got in return was a series of soft whimpers and smacking lips. With a little more force, the little one frowned and, taking advantage of my inability to resist, buried her face even deeper into my chest. Like a beloved young animal, even before her eyes were open, she was already searching for the nearest source of warmth.

But shouldn't the best heat source in this room be the fireplace not far away? With transparent glass as a barrier and the hard stone bricks wrapped in soft cotton cloth at the corners, there shouldn't be any problems except for the possibility of prolonged burns... Why did she bury me for no reason?

After several unsuccessful attempts, I lay down again, exhausted, feeling even more tired from this sleep.

Of course, this isn't all just complaining.

Annie was the smallest among the group, apart from Aian who hadn't fully developed yet. She was even smaller than Sheng, whom I met elsewhere and who possessed a strong androgynous beauty.

Its thin arms and legs and slender waist look only slightly better than a toddler's, and its weight is not as good as that of a hunting dog that has been eating and drinking well in recent months and has gained weight like crazy.

According to her, she has been an adult for a long time.

This statement silenced everyone present. Even Yao, who rarely spoke of gossip, couldn't help but look her up and down several times before muttering, "Is there really someone in the Farns family who prefers petite women like this?"

I looked up at the curtains drawn in the distance, listening to the soft, long breaths around me. After a moment of reverie, I summoned a gentle breeze and gently pulled open a section of the curtain a little further away.

A soft light fell on a corner of the house, far from the center.

The sky was already bright, but due to its orientation and position, the sun was not visible; only a patch of grayish-white cumulus clouds could be glimpsed. It must have snowed again that morning; a lot of condensation had accumulated along the bottom edge of the transparent window, while the top edge was covered by falling icicles and hazy mist, leaving countless winding trails in the middle.

"Hmm... Is it dawn yet?"

A faint muttering came from my chest.

Looking down, the sleepy cub was gently rubbing its eyes with its free right hand. Its glossy black hair was loose and clustered, scattered like blooming flowers, except for one unruly tuft sticking up on its head, which gave it a somewhat naive look.

And, they showed absolutely no intention of getting off me.

I tried pressing down on her thin arms and gently pushing her twice. The yawning cub craned its neck to look at me, its dark red eyes blinking watery, clearly not fully awake yet.

I tried to strike up a conversation with her: "Annie, could you please get off me? You're pressing down on me so I can't get up at all."

"Ha—then don't get up, just stay here and sleep with me, okay?" The sleepy little beast said, lying back down in its original spot, its eyes blinking slowly and hazily, its murmured words ending with a hint of coquetry, "I never thought that one day I could sleep in such a warm place, I feel completely alive..."

I was both amused and exasperated: "But you're sleeping on top of me right now, and it looks like it's almost noon, isn't it?"

Even though it had snowed, the sky wasn't this bright in the morning, not to mention I hadn't heard the sound of sword practice coming from the distance. I don't know how long I'd been asleep.

"Isn't it great? Only Mr. Bed will always be tolerant, make me feel at ease, and always wait for me and accompany me... So as long as I'm with Mr. Bed forever, that's enough."

What are you even talking about?

What kind of madness is this... why would someone confuse a living person with an inanimate object that allows one to sleep peacefully!

"Didn't you say you were sleeping together because of nightmares? But it doesn't seem like you were having nightmares now, so maybe I should just leave..."

Just because it's not there now doesn't mean it won't be there in the future!

"I interrupted loudly," Anne said, grabbing me tightly and wrapping her arms and legs around me.

Wow!

I couldn't help but gasp.

Very good, judging by the strength he's putting in, this guy is definitely fully awake and is just faking it!

Since that's the case, I won't give in to her anymore. I completely ignored her sudden tearful attack, reached out and ruthlessly pulled the lazybones off me, then threw her back into her own bunk.

I got up and looked at myself; my clothes were all wrinkled, so I had to get new ones to change into. I don't know what those three guys did to my body last night after I escaped into the [Simulated Law Ring], but at least I wasn't stripped naked. They still have some decency, so it's a stroke of luck amidst misfortune.

After moving around a bit, apart from a slight tingling in my right arm that had gone numb from being pressed down, there weren't any major problems. Perhaps because I had rested well, moving around was quite easy.

Just in case, it's still necessary to confirm.

"What else did you do after I fell asleep last night?"

Annie, hugging her slender legs, rested her head on her knees, turned her head sullenly, and glanced at me sideways: "What else can I do, play with you? I was going to tease you a little more, but I didn't expect you to fall asleep so quickly. You fell asleep in the blink of an eye, which scared us. We thought something had happened and it took us a long time to calm down."
