Chapter 230 Disaster Vision

Then, at some point, she caught a glimpse of that world hidden deep in the darkness:

Endless calamities befell this land. Although each calamity manifested itself differently, the final outcome was always the same—a tidal wave of deep blackness would surge forth from the center or corners of the field of vision, engulfing everything in sight.

"At the time, I didn't know what had happened."

The blind woman smiled quietly, her tone revealing no fear or panic, only a calm acceptance of the situation: "I tried to communicate with people, but unfortunately, no one believed me. Even those who initially took care of me eventually abandoned me."

“They considered my eyes to be ominous, not only because of their appearance, which was fundamentally different from all that exists in ordinary people, but also because I claimed to have seen the world being destroyed by disaster.”

First, after I set off, I heard the most prayers here, so I stayed to help the people here, in accordance with their wishes. The other reason is that I cannot forgive myself for doing nothing and just watching things happen."

"After I gained this ability, I kept thinking about why the accident happened and why it happened to me. But then, these questions turned into what I could do with this ability."

"Admittedly, I don't have the ability to change the disaster these eyes see, but if my outstretched hands can leave a last glimmer of hope in the end of that disaster, even if it's just leaving a spark to reverse the final outcome of everything falling into darkness, it's better than doing nothing."

She quietly concluded, "So, I choose to reach out."
